The amenities alone stand out--clean, well-lit facilities, warm showers, and even heated floors (yes, heated floors!). Everything is thoughtfully provided on an honor system, which adds to the welcoming, trusting atmosphere. When we arrived, we realized we had accidentally booked our stay one day too early. Instead of turning us away, they graciously offered us a boondocking spot and invited us to a once-a-week complimentary dinner for all guests. It turned into a wonderful evening around the fire pit, connecting with fellow travelers. Meeting the owners was an added highlight--they were as warm and inviting as the meal they shared. We feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this special place in the middle of such a beautiful desert.

Can't say enough about Ashley who checked in on our fur babies while we out exploring the area! She is professional but yet treated our 2 standard poodles like they were hers. We were out longer than expected, sent her a text saying we would be later than expected. Ashley went and checked on our girls providing true peace of mind!! I wish more campgrounds offered pet setting services. This is a wonderful place for photographers and astronomers of all levels. So much to see and do!

I did not otherwise stay here! -- The place is easy to find and rather big, but if you go into the main check in area, they'll direct you to where the shuttle pick up spot is. The staff are professional and friendly, and I ABSOLUTELY recommend using their shuttle if you are in anything other than a jeep perhaps because the road out to the trailhead is ROUGH. I read that online and it's very true; the shuttle costs $8 and they take you about 3/4 of the way there in a big van, but the road is so rough that last bit that even the van can't go there and you have to walk. If it's been raining, I also wouldn't even try coming out here because the roads become an absolute disaster. All this said, I had a good experience! They pick up and drop off every 30 mins and I didn't wait more than 10-15 mins for my pickup after finishing the hike. Would def use these folk's shuttle again if I was coming back out to obs point :)

I will say the drive from Zion to this campsite is unmatched in beauty and may be worth any amenities ofthis campsite

THE PROS: basic water, electricity and sewer, bathrooms and showers (2) are ok. It's not crowded unlike the Watchman campground. There a store, cafe and gas station across the road, the views are nice and the prices are great. There is a large room with laundry facilities and pool tables all together lol! Staff at the store are friendly and we felt safe. THE CONS: it's very rudimentary and primitive looking, could use a bit of beautification. There's no one at the office, you need to go to the store across the road to see management. Spaces 45-48 have the hook ups on the wrong side! You would need to connect from the back to under your rig, across your front door to the connections. Ridiculous! Overall was a good stay!

He suggested my friend and I relax (after our hike) and let us use the porta potty, which was purple and was "clean" as far as porta pottys go! Anyway, because of that...I decided the next time I went back I would order a snack, I'm all about supporting local businesses, especially in small towns! Fast forward this summer...I brought two friends hiking and the three of us stopped to have snow cones! Now, I haven't had a snow cone in years...so, it was somewhat nostalgic and fun with all the creative names they have. They were good but more up my kids alley than mine, as I'm older, I've limited my intake of sugar. Now if there was a variety of "Margarita" snow cones, I'd be ALL IN!! LOL Bottom line: the proprietors here are great people with lots of knowledge about the area and it's a refreshing treat for you and or the kiddos to have something cold and tasty on a hot day! First off, if you're on the fence about going, DO IT! This is a beautiful summer campground, we went June 8-10, 2018 and the weather was perfect. It did get a little cold at night, but nothing that our sleeping bags couldn't handle. The campgrounds here aren't too close together which I really appreciated, but some campsites are more shaded than others. I stayed in B loop, site #48 and it was conveniently located close to the restrooms (which are kept very clean) and the campground host, who sell firewood. People here were very respectful of the quiet hours which start at 10. Keep in mind that there are no showers at this campsite. Also, the picnic table and fire ring are on concrete which I loved SO much and it even comes with a stand for your portable stove and a place to hang your lantern. The campsite also has tent pads that they have leveled out which made sleeping very comfortable. However, the one thing I do regret is not bringing a hammock!! There are lots of trees here. This place is also walking distance to a small lake where you can go fishing and a short 4 mike drive to Duck Creek Village, which has a convenience store, small restaurants, and souvenir shops.
