Very nice campground - opened in May 2020. 20 sites of various capacity from 30 ft to 75 ft pull-through. They all looked pretty level, but not perfectly level. Well laid out, but a little cramped. 50/30/20 amp electric, water & sewer. No dump station. Six tent sites ($20) with a nice level pad, firepit, and picnic table. They also have a 3 bdrm, 2 bath log cabin for rent ($265, 2-night minimum) that sleeps 8. All the landscaping is well done. Very nice person in the office. Bathrooms and shower rooms are combined and are excellent, maybe because they're still so new. Fixtures don't look to be commercial quality though; we'll see how they hold up. Some nice BLM land to the east, space for dogs to run off-leash. Supposed to be a waterfall across the hwy, but didn't get to check it out. A little bit of road noise, but it dwindles at night. We didn't get any usable cell service on AT&T or Verizon, but the campground provides WiFi. It's surprisingly decent - up to 10 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up - but had occasional drops and high ping. We paid $40+tax=$44.27 for a medium RV site in April 2021.

Great location! Clean campground and super clean bathrooms. Loved the location. They were very accommodating when we had car troubles and had to arrive late. Thank you. We hope to see you.

    check in office

Loved this place!!! We stayed for one night in an RV spot and loved it. The campground is very small, quaint and quiet. The check in office was adorable and the campsite spots were also very cute. My favorite part about the campground was the bathrooms!! they were SO clean! Sometimes campground bathrooms can be nasty but these were great. They felt brand new and well kept. They were like private/individual bathrooms so they had great privacy and there was also a shower!! Only a 20 minute drive to Cedar Breaks national monument (beautiful drive btw) and not too far from Cedar City. 10/10 overall, we will definitely be back!

    Sunset

Hidden Gem, great location not far from town and the weather was perfect for our end of June trip. Owners are very hospitable and made sure we were happy, gave suggestions for trails and the views at the retreat..are amazing! Enjoyed the sunsets and how close we were to many attractions. Bathroom and showers were wonderful, and I enjoyed that it was a smaller retreat with few sites, made us feel exclusive and immersed in a peaceful wilderness. The trail to the waterfall from the retreat was great, must do! Wish we had more time here! Thank you so much we will be back again for a longer stay! :)

The majority of guests here were in RVs and campers. The campground is right off the highway so it could get noisy if your spot is by the road. We stayed the furthest away from the road so it didn't bother us very much at all. We opted to stay in a rustic cabin ($50/night + tax) which included a small mini fridge, microwave, and 2 beds - a queen and twin bed. This spot was perfect. We didn't have anyone staying next to us on either side and it gave a nice sense of privacy. The Red Canyon RV Park has a small dog park in the back corner by the main road. The bathrooms are dated and can use updates but are decently clean. 2 shower stalls and 2 toilet stalls on the property, gender-separated. WiFi is available (although it's pretty weak) and Verizon and AT&T worked well here. There is a general store, gas station, and restaurant/ice cream shop right next door. Laundry services are also available (coin-operated). Overall, it was a pleasant stay with minimal interruptions. Seemed like everyone here kept to themselves and it was great~

The noise was unbearable and started early in the morning, and the area was so torn up that the grass was dead--terrible for our dogs and impossible to enjoy being outside. Management finally agreed to move us, but the new site was even worse. Someone had dumped their black tank directly on the grass, leaving raw sewage sitting there. Completely unacceptable. We had to call yet again and be moved a second time just to find a site that was usable. Instead of a relaxing weekend and enjoying the outdoor activities that Cedar City offers, we spent our time packing up, moving, and dealing with problems that should never happen at a campground that claims to be maintained. Between the constant construction, sewage mess, and poor management, this place is absolutely not worth your time or money. We won't be back, and I strongly recommend you look elsewhere if you're hoping for a peaceful and sanitary stay. If I could give zero stars, I would.

We were there a month. As the month went by, it seemed to get better as the place was mowed, although not edged. If you're going to stay here, the area on the north side of the park is fine and does not have the older full time units. The pool water was always clean and nice, but cold for us. The park is in a great location, although you do hear traffic and sirens from the main st. and hospital nearby. They have great ice cream in the office with very large portions, and a trailer out front with very good coffee like a Starbucks. We had issues with the billing (being wrongly charged extra night, that got fixed after help from manager). When you stay a month, you get a break on the nightly amount but are charged for electricity and sewer. They charge to use credit card and charge to read the meter. I was charged almost twice the amount for electricity than I have been charged elsewhere. Hard to argue with since they read the meter. Because we were in the middle of month and ran a few days into the next month, we were charged another month for sewer. Luckily, RJourney 800 number removed that from our billing. The town of Cedar City was great. We went to several events in the town and loved everything about the town. Bottom line we would love to visit Cedar City again, just not there.

They were nice, said thanks for letting us know and they'd take care of it.* Came back around 3:30 to get some stuff from the "store" and one, there was that sign again, "will return shortly" (Your hours are 12-5 M-F as it is; Can't you monitor the office from 12-5 at least?) AND two, THERE IS NO STORE.... no toilet paper or toilet tabs for sale...or last minute food stuffs... Women's restroom had ONE operational toilet and never once was the toilet paper or seat covers re-stocked. I ended up leaving a roll of toilet paper from my own RV stash! The picnic table at our site was absolutely right next to the sewage line of our neighbors...needless to say, we never got to use the unmovable picnic table at all during our stay! Think about that for a second; they laid a cement pad for the picnic table RIGHT NEXT TO the sewer line... WHY? That's disgusting and very poor planning. This is the THIRD time we've stayed here. Thought they would get better, but they've only gotten worse. I echo the sentiments of most of the comments on here and we will NEVER stay here again. This little place could be a gold mine if only it were managed properly. * We departed Monday morning around 9 am and that maggot filled poop trash can was still overflowing!!
