This place is really special. We stayed in cabin 158 and it was perfectly romantic. You have an excellent view of the mountains, the bison, the beginning of Zion NP. The cabin was cute, clean, and I enjoyed the jetted tub. The last evening the bison even came close to hang out.

Very charming with great views. While on the less busy side of Zion it wasn't inconvenient to get to the park or to the main town on the more populates side of Zion The staff was very friendly the restaurant was good. Although seemed odd eating buffalo while they walked by the restaurant lol The buffalo steak was amazing as was the trout

Zion mountain ranch offers an amazing nature experience convenient to Zion park. Our cabin over looked a field where they have bison and our sunset horseback ride offered unparalleled views.

I am torn about this place. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and I love the ranch. The cabins are disappointing. They are old and definitely need some upkeep. Not the cleanest place either. Not worth the amount we paid for sure.

Stayed two nights recently in cabin 155. The cabin was cute, but did need some maintenance. The tiles near the toilet are loose/feel like they sink in when you go to use the restroom. The towel rack was loose and starting to come off the wall. There were lots of chipped pain marks in the room. Bedding probably needed to be refreshed as the duvet cover had a stain on it. Overall though, it was a quaint setting, and the views are incredible. The gift shop up front has lots of cute items and they have a spot where you can book some activities. We did the sunset horseback ride and the stargazing, but stargazing got canceled due to cloudy weather moving in. The dogs and livestock outside were super cute. The dogs are proper guard dogs, but also love getting pet and were friendly. They roamed the cabins in the evenings and we often saw them roaming the grounds in the distance. It was pretty affordable compared to some of the places in Springdale, so overall I liked the experience. Just needed some tlc in the cabin itself.

Great staff, food and experience! The breakfast buffet was also excellent. Great scenic view.

Absolutely loved our little cottage. Went there during the pandemic, and it was wonderful. The cottage was clean and very cozy. easy access to the park. Beautiful view, we could see buffalos in distance. Loved the hot tub inside. Would certainly go back if I ever visit Zion again.

This place is everything!! It sits on a beautiful quiet ranch just 5 minutes from the east entrance of Zion National Park. (East entrance of Zion is about 30-35 minutes from the classic hikes you think of with Zion such as Angel's landing and the Narrows just FYI.) First - the staff. The staff is awesome. They are the same people running the front office, restaurant, etc. they are super friendly and accommodating to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They could have a few more flyers about hikes, but overall had everything you needed to know. Very very nice people... I was happy Location - located 5 minutes from EAST Zion entrance - this is 30-35 minutes East from Springdale where you catch shuttles to go into the park. There is plenty to do on the east side though!!! Absolutely beautiful hikes everywhere - Many Pools, Canyon Overlook Trail, Cable Mountain, East Mesa Trail that goes to Observation point (a must do), and it's also close to Bryce national park if you'd like to check that out (1 hr 15 min drive). There are not many restaurants around but the rooms have mini kitchens so I recommend getting a few groceries and then do dinner at the Cordwood restaurant or go into Springdale or Orderville Room - clean, cozy, cabin. Everything you want. Our cabin had 2 king size beds, table, TV with DVD player and Netflix/amazon access, bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Beautiful front porch with front porch rocker swing. Loved it all no complaints. Room overlooked the bison range. Stunning. The one drawback is the shower didn't drain well. Amenities - there is a wonderful farm to table restaurant on the property called Cordwood. Definitely go there. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are "ranch dogs" aka the cutest fluffiest white pyrenese dogs, miniature horses, chickens, horses, and bison. There are horseback rides and guided hikes/excursions through East Zion Adventures (picks you up at the ranch). Bonfire at 7 pm every night and you can bring s'mores supplies or purchase at front desk. You can "rent" dvds for free. They have a nice selection. Overall - this is a great place to unwind after a long day of adventuring. It is calm and peaceful. You meet friendly people and just feel at ease. Great place to reconnect with your loved ones and disconnect from your phone. I love this place and would definitely come back!

We had the most amazing stay. We booked for 3 nights on our honeymoon & it was incredible. We had the bison right outside of our room in the morning. The food at dinner was delicious. The staff was very friendly. We loved the animals on the property. Everything about this ranch was superb. We will definitely be back.

Loved staying here! It's 5 minutes outside of the East entrance of Zion and 35 minutes outside of the south entrance at Springdale. The ranch has lots of activities and animals for all members of the family to enjoy. Has a restaurant onsite. The cabins were very clean and had lovely views!

Had they made good on their promise that buffalo would actually be out grazing during our stay at the pasture-front cabin we booked, I wouldn't have minded paying $2500 for a 3-night stay. We booked ZMR SPECIFICALLY for the buffalo experience. But the moment we checked in, we were told it was mating season and the bulls were too "frisky" to be out in the pasture, so they moved the herd someplace down the road. They also claimed that a couple of the males had broken a few fence poles. We saw neither broken fence poles nor any workmen during our 3-day stay. For sure, paying $2,500 for 3 nights in Cabin 156 -- WITHOUT buffaloes -- is absolute robbery. The cabin is furnished like a frat house, with mismatched draperies, second-hand furniture, and walls in disrepair. The utensils in the kitchen were thrift-store quality, and the bath/shower was so unappealing we didn't want to use it. It is outrageous and unreasonable that they provide such poor quality accommodations. Oh, and they removed the wall thermostats so what you get is what you get temperature-wise. Again, had the buffalo been there, we would have overlooked everything else. And since they know they don't put the buffaloes out during mating season, they should have told me at booking. It's a buffalo farm; they know the buffalo's cycles. Failure to disclose that information, and instead promising a unique experience -- and charging for it -- is fraudulent. Although the location is quiet and off the beaten path, I feel completely taken advantage of by ZMR. Patrons beware.

This was such a fun and scenic stay! The ranch sits just outside the entrance to Zion National Park. The cabin was very clean and spacious. They have buffalo roaming around the property along with horses. We did the horseback trip and had a great time. The restaurant is good but a little pricey for the options. Every night there is a campfire to sit around while the kids roast marshmallows. It's a great getaway and who doesn't love the great outdoors!!

Highly recommend a stay at this beautiful ranch! We spent 5 nights in their preserve cabin. It was one of their smaller cabins but still had a microwave, mini fridge & small coffee maker with comfortable beds and most importantly in this heat - air conditioning! It truly was a wonderful place to call our home base while exploring Zion and Bryce Canyon. The ranch itself was active with baby bison, horses, chickens and rabbits that we were able to pet and spend time with, not to mention the herd of bison that came grazing along the fence line. The hydroponic green house and restaurant on site were amazing - everything we ordered each time we visited was delicious! All of the staff were welcoming and attentive.

I did not otherwise stay here! -- The place is easy to find and rather big, but if you go into the main check in area, they'll direct you to where the shuttle pick up spot is. The staff are professional and friendly, and I ABSOLUTELY recommend using their shuttle if you are in anything other than a jeep perhaps because the road out to the trailhead is ROUGH. I read that online and it's very true; the shuttle costs $8 and they take you about 3/4 of the way there in a big van, but the road is so rough that last bit that even the van can't go there and you have to walk. If it's been raining, I also wouldn't even try coming out here because the roads become an absolute disaster. All this said, I had a good experience! They pick up and drop off every 30 mins and I didn't wait more than 10-15 mins for my pickup after finishing the hike. Would def use these folk's shuttle again if I was coming back out to obs point :)

Bathroom and showers are cleaner and not so filled with people. I mean, I don't mind people, but having to share showers and restrooms daily...yeah not my style. Ha! BUT their housekeeping is top notch and everything stays clean. It's the perfect weather for someone like me. Cold but the sun is still warm. I reserved the deluxe glamping section, but now I wished I reserved one of the Conestoga wagons. Those looked really cool and fun. Plus, it has its little circle. That would be good for a family reunion for a smaller sized family like mine. The deluxe glamping area is nice. It's secluded and close to the road. I love that the doors are keyless. I can remember numbers, but I can never remember where I put the card keys. Go figure! It's nice and cozy. There's a little buddy heater and an electric fireplace. We ran both of them during the nights with the furthers window zipped a little open for ventilation. It stayed nice and warm. We like to camp a lot. So this kind of camping was like, luxurious haha. For me it was. lol Checking in was super easy and quick. I was in and out of there with my code to my spot. Upon driving to my glamping spot, easy to navigate from the office and with the map I was given. Since it's just us, we kind of made our own parking spot just at the end of the walkway lol. There is a big nice fire pit with huge log seats for a group of people to sit around. BUT again, no one else is here. It's just my little family of three. It's peaceful. The glamping tent is roomy. There's a buddy heater and an electric fireplace that keeps the tent nice and cozy. Also, plenty of blankets and pillows. Towels were also provided for us for showers or the hot tub. It seriously is just like camping though. It gets dark out, so I recommend flash lights or a lantern when walking to the bathrooms/showers. There are coolers and trash bins that are locked to each tent. If you're not a big food spender, I recommend packing things to bbq and cook at your tent. Grills are provided at the deluxe camping spots along with picnic tables for each tent. There are extra chairs and an extra table. The set up is pretty cool. Step outside during the night, it is BEAUTIFUL!! When the sky is clear of clouds, you have a wonderful view of the night skies. The restaurant is open only at certain times. If you're wanting full entree and salad bar you'll have to wait for the 5pm opening. From 4-8pm they serve burgers and pizzas and other appetizers. Which is really good too. It was super pricey, BUT I felt it was worth it. Our meals were delicious. Compliments to the chef! Breakfast. The pancakes were yummy. It's cold items. If you want hot food, you'll have to order and pay. You can always get a side of eggs though. I don't think they made a lot of food only because we were pretty much the only ones there eating. Still, food is yummy. I recommend the hash browns. Those take you back to school days. Well, for myself and my husband. We're kind of old. ;) We eventually got neighbors. They were super cool and respectful too. Let's get to the activities. We did the white mountain horseback riding. Blake was awesome. Great service and knowledgeable of his horses. We had an incident with a random hikers loose dog and Blake kept his cool and handled things super professionally. Since we were the only riders, it felt like a private horse back tour for us. That was awesome! We'll for sure be returning to do this activity again. Star gazing. Haun is the tour guide for this, he's super knowledgeable on the night skies. Ask him any question and he'll answer it. I thought I was a night sky freak, no! Haha...there were MANY things I didn't know still. We also got to witness the starlink. That was WAY cool! 60 moving satellites. You'll have to look quickly they move and vanish fast. It's a moment to remember and cherish for sure (for my family). Haun had lot of Greek mythologies to back up all our questions he answered and gosh, that was cool to hear!! Again, we had our own private star gazing tour since it was just the three of us. Pretty sure we were the smallest group any of these activities have had. Our over all experience here was awesome! We had a great time!! We'll for sure be coming back here. We want to try and stay in the wagons haha. Thanks again, Zions Ponderosa Resort! You guys are awesome!!

The front desk staff and housekeepers were all incredibly kind, which really added to the overall experience. The spa was a highlight for me. My esthetician, Mandy, took amazing care of me during my one-hour facial, and I left feeling completely refreshed. She even gave me a hand and foot massage while the mask set, and I'm pretty sure I fell asleep because I was so zenned out. I also loved the products they make, use, and sell. The in-room shampoo, conditioner, and body wash had a Juniper Sage fragrance that I really enjoyed. They're in large reusable bottles, which I personally didn't mind since it's more eco-friendly, but something to note if that's not your preference. We booked a standard room and were genuinely surprised by how spacious it was. Not sure if we got lucky, but the room was huge, had two entrances, and a balcony overlooking a cute fountain. We also scored a great deal, stay two nights, get one free, between Christmas and New Year's. The resort has a quaint, lodge-style charm. The rooms are simple and slightly dated, but since we barely spent time inside, it didn't bother us at all. During winter especially, we were just happy that the heater and hot water worked perfectly. The facial was about $140, which felt very reasonable for a resort spa. However, the Desert Pearl is well-deserving of a positive review. I first discovered this place 26 years ago, and I estimate that I have stayed here 20 times over the years. Over 26 years, never once have I been disappointed. I have recommended this place countless times to my family and friends. For starters, the rooms have a rustic modern style with expansive balconies or patios that include Adirondack chairs for relaxing while taking in the views of the red mountains, which are right in front of you. When awaking in the morning, simply roll up the shades, and you can enjoy the sunrise on the mountains while in bed or while having a cup of coffee on the loveseat in the seating area. The kitchenette is a nice addition, especially on hiking days. You can make yourself a simple breakfast prior to your morning hike(s). On lazier days, the addition of the restaurant was a major upgrade within the past few years. One request for management: The coffeemakers could use an upgrade to full-sized models with additional coffee mugs also stocked. However, I will note the availability of a small drawer-type dishwasher that is also included in the kitchenette. Location: The DPI is conveniently located in Springdale with a shuttle stop right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurant, shopping, and art/photo galleries located easily within walking distance. The entrance to Zion National Park is just a short shuttle ride (1mile) to the visitor's center or short car ride to the entrance to the park. I appreciate management's ability to maintain the beauty of the rooms and grounds over the years. The pool and spa are always in great shape. Electric vehicle parking spots have also been added. One future upgrade request: I like the bathroom design with separate sink/closet area and separate shower/toilet area. The pocket sliding doors are also a nice space-saving feature. However, I would like to see a shower makeover to a larger, more modern walk-in design rather than a tub and shower curtain (I do appreciate the curved curtain rod to gain space.) design. Overall, I rate this 5-stars. The Desert Pearl is truly one of my favorite hotels of all time. I look forward to my next visit!

A week ago we noticed the confirmation gave instructions for the tent site at Zion West Ranch. The apartment flat is located in Hurricane, so we were curious if we had to go to the ranch to gain access to the flat in Hurricane. Then the nightmare began. We both called and sent a text to the contact number in the confirmation and no response. A day passed. I contacted Zion West Ranch hoping they could get me in touch with someone. They replied they are not affiliated with moonlightoasis but forwarded my email to the owner of moonlightoasis, Heather Braden. No response. In the past four days my wife and I have emailed, texted, and called this contact multiple times with no response. We are scheduled to arrive there in 3 days as I write this. We were not given an address to the apartment flat or info on where to meet. It just says to text on arrival. Currently we have still not had any response from this person/business. I have done my homework last few days. Heather Braden is a professional model. The business phone is the same as the phone listed on her personal website. It is a New York number, same as the Zion West Ranch contact. Their website showed a google map of the apartment flat without an address, but Google Maps gave me an address of 389 N 1580 W in Hurricane Utah. If you search that address and name in Hurricane first hist is the Hurricane Business website, showing that the property belongs to her at that address and the business license is expired. The name of the business is La Victoria LLC. Airbnb's website reviews of moonlightoasis have a person named Erica Victoria as the host. Coincidence? Not likely. Since we cannot contact anyone for a refund we have already started to contest the payment with our credit card company. I am writing this to hope others can avoid this terrible website scam. The website prices appear too good to be true, and it is. Ironically, the only thing this business appears to respond to is comments on this site.

Well, we've given Parry Lodge three other tries. It really is hit or miss here. Funny story, as we…read moretravel to SLC during the Christmas holiday, we happened to stay here. We didn't arrive until late Christmas Eve and the lobby was shut down. (fine). We didn't know how to get into our room. After some phone calls were made, we were able to get in the room. As previously mentioned, this hotel/lodge is under new management and has been renovated /updated. Not all the rooms have been redone. The golden age of small bathrooms with no counter space has long since passed. Since we travel to SLC quite frequently, one night is perfect for the Parry Lodge.

Don't believe the old reviews on this place. They must've had an ownership change because our stay…read morewas great! When my friends told me they booked this place and I read the reviews after-the-fact, I was so sure it was going to be old, dank, musty and gross. We arrived at night and I was still skeptical of this place. Front desk told us to park on the side of the building on the dirt area. Driving around out back, there was this creepy abandoned barn that gave me horror movie vibes. Our room was in the newer 2-story building. Walking inside though, there were lights everywhere and pictures of celebrities who have stayed there. I saw a guy cleaning one of the rooms and the hallway smelled of Lysol or some cleaner. Ok, good sign I thought. Our room was pretty big with 2 queen beds and a vanity with a sink just outside the bathroom, so two sinks total (convenient!). The furniture was like what you'd find in a 90's home. It felt homey instead of hotel-like which I kinda liked. TV, fridge, microwave.. check. But no coffee maker. You can actually request hot water from the front desk and they'll give you a pitcher. Now the surprises, which made this stay so spectacular. The pillows were SO fluffy. The bed was lined with a thicker, textured design sheet compared to your average hotel paper-thin sheet, and the mattress was soft and comfy. I had way better sleep here than I did at the Hilton the night before. The best part? The bathroom has a heater under the sink that you can control the temperature with a dial on the wall, so it was nice and toasty all the time. It was so awesome! I also noticed the baseboards in the room, the bathtub and caulking in the bathroom were spotless. That's how you know a place is clean. They offer a small breakfast in the dining room for a small $, but we opted out so we can try other restaurants across the street. The coffee and tea are always free. I definitely judged Parry Lodge before arriving here, but boy was I wrong! It is a quaint little place with a nostalgic historic feel, and was not creepy at all. I think this was the hotspot back in the day for western films. A lot of hikers stay here and we saw many early in the morning. I'd stay at Parry Lodge again if we make our way out here in the future.
