Park-like setting for the inn
Alia G.

Friendly staff, lovely accommodations, great location! This was our first time staying at this property; it won't be our last. They have a small spa plus a restaurant. While we didn't have time to indulge at the spa we did have a nice dinner at the restaurant. We had a lower level room on the end near the pool. Thankfully, they have parking above and on the side/low side, so you don't need to do stairs if you park in the appropriate spot. Meaning if you have a room starting with a "2", park up high. If not, park down low. Haha Quiet, beautiful, Zen-like. You can sit outside and just breathe. Their property is very park-like... Green and Lush. Very well taken care of. They even have a meditation trail! The Springdale tram / shuttle stops right out front if you don't feel like walking. The entrance to Zion is less than a mile away so it is very walkable if you want. Next to the property / just across the street is a small market and an outdoor rental place if you need to rent stuff.

If you're going to Zion, I would suggest staying at Flanigans. Really nice place. Our room is really nice, beds are nice, shower is nice good tv w working direct tv channels. Cant complain at all. Staff is super nice, everyone is great A+ . It look very old school cabins, but its very modern and the amenities are great. One of the big factors for us was they restaurant attached to the hotel. Parking if free and lots of spots. It's located near the park entrance, a 10 minute walk from the hotel. This place is great, ill stay here again for sure next time we come to Zion.

loved staying here in August 2023. The hotel room is great and the hotel itself is right outside of Zion National Park. Can't wait to stay here again sometime this year.

Lovely resort. The staff were super helpful. Location, walking distance to Zion, was great. Dinner at the restaurant is a must. There aren't many other choices. The balcony in our room was so peaceful. A few changes: the AC in our room didn't do the job the fan was loud and ran non stop because the room couldn't hold temperature; the direct tv remote didn't seem to do anything but turn on the tv, we could not actually get direct tv; the in room poor over coffee service resulted in ripped bags and cups full of grounds. The electric kettle did work well for tea and there is coffee service in the lobby at 6 am.

After a day of hiking a day of rest and recovery at Flannigan's Inn SPA Went with the Ultimate Body Session. Juniper. Sage. Clay. Salt Scrub. Warm Mud. Warmed Table. Hot Towels. Enchanting Soft Music. All products are locally made and sourced along with all the inviting, relaxation massage therapies Amanda provided. Absolutely Heaven! It's another beautiful way to enjoy Zion and pamper yourself

Flanigan's is a great choice for anyone visiting Zion National Park. Read on: It's very nice, well kept property with terrific views of the scenery you came to Zion to see. within walking distance to the entrance to the park. It's within close proximity (easy walking distance) to many of the restaurants and shops located on the main drag (Zion Canyon Boulevard), but not all. The others are a very short car drive away. The rooms are average size but well appointed and quite pleasant. Nice bed, nice linens, etc. There is a very good on-site restaurant, the Spotted Dog, I will review separately. The flat screen TV was a bit on the small size by today's standards, but TV is not why you come here, so no biggie. Having said that, we did enjoy binge watching The Office a few evenings thanks to the many choices via Direct TV satellite TV in our room. The free wifi was solid. There is a nice pool on the property, but we didn't avail ourselves of it. There is no on-site sundry store or vending machines for that matter, but no worries. A short half a block up the street is Hoodoos Market that has just about everything you might every need during your stay. Parking in the guest only parking areas was a breeze, and it's easy to park relatively close to your room which is nice when comes time to unload and load your traveling gear. Cheers!

We had a mouse in the room the mouse was chewing our suitcases and water bottles, it made a lot of noise it didn't let us sleep, it ran all night in the room.

What a gem! Clean well decorated rooms. Quiet property even in the middle of the busy town. Hot tub, pool, privacy. Close to park entrance.. Even a labyrinth with an awesome sunset Will be back. Loved our stay here.

Long story long: Avoid this place at all cost!! My wife and I were on an anniversary weekend trip. We had book 2 nights at a premium price. The first night there my portable cpap machine stopped working and we were both unable to sleep that night. Unfortunately we had booked massages at the spa for the next day prior to this even. We decided that we couldn't stay the next night and we needed to cancel the second nights stay and cancel the massage sessions. The front desk girls were very matter of fact that they couldn't cancel anything and that we would be charged for the second night and also for the massages which were around $150 each. We had no choice but to leave and we're given the managers name to contact on Monday, which we did. She echoed what she had trained her staff to say and would not cancel our spa appointments because "those people depend on those appointments for income". Well, I had no idea that people depend on jobs for income!!! Anyway, our room was super tiny. The bathrooms were typical of most 1 star hotels. Windows had lost their seals and were cloudy. Location was great!!! The restaurant was above average and the service there was really good. As long as you just need a place to sleep for the night with no frills... then go for it. 3 star hotel? Not even close. Very poor customer service and would never stay here again!

The best thing about this hotel is the location (walking distance from Zion park), which is why I understand the high cost of staying here, but the quality of the rooms was disappointing. The rooms are outdated and are what you would expect to find at a motel. If you get a room on the ground floor, you will be able to hear the guests walking above you since the walls are the thin. The hotel restaurant is great, but you have to make a reservation at least a day in advance even if you are staying at the hotel. The parking lot gets packed with restaurant guests, so you might have to park far from your room. If you decide to stay here, try to get a room with a good view (see the pics to see our view, it wasn't the best). Also, there is a 48 hour cancellation policy, so if you're going to cancel or end your stay early, make sure you do it two days in advance! By no means is this a terrible place to stay, it's just not worth $400.

The hotel looked more like a ski resort with cozy cabins and the views it had to offer from each room were just breathtaking, specially with the sound of the Virgin river running along the entire property added to the magic of this place. The rooms were very clean with every amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. The front desk staff were the warmest and friendliest I have recently encountered, catering to our every need as well as giving us useful advice on activities and places to eat and visit. Definitely will be back!

However, the Desert Pearl is well-deserving of a positive review. I first discovered this place 26 years ago, and I estimate that I have stayed here 20 times over the years. Over 26 years, never once have I been disappointed. I have recommended this place countless times to my family and friends. For starters, the rooms have a rustic modern style with expansive balconies or patios that include Adirondack chairs for relaxing while taking in the views of the red mountains, which are right in front of you. When awaking in the morning, simply roll up the shades, and you can enjoy the sunrise on the mountains while in bed or while having a cup of coffee on the loveseat in the seating area. The kitchenette is a nice addition, especially on hiking days. You can make yourself a simple breakfast prior to your morning hike(s). On lazier days, the addition of the restaurant was a major upgrade within the past few years. One request for management: The coffeemakers could use an upgrade to full-sized models with additional coffee mugs also stocked. However, I will note the availability of a small drawer-type dishwasher that is also included in the kitchenette. Location: The DPI is conveniently located in Springdale with a shuttle stop right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurant, shopping, and art/photo galleries located easily within walking distance. The entrance to Zion National Park is just a short shuttle ride (1mile) to the visitor's center or short car ride to the entrance to the park. I appreciate management's ability to maintain the beauty of the rooms and grounds over the years. The pool and spa are always in great shape. Electric vehicle parking spots have also been added. One future upgrade request: I like the bathroom design with separate sink/closet area and separate shower/toilet area. The pocket sliding doors are also a nice space-saving feature. However, I would like to see a shower makeover to a larger, more modern walk-in design rather than a tub and shower curtain (I do appreciate the curved curtain rod to gain space.) design. Overall, I rate this 5-stars. The Desert Pearl is truly one of my favorite hotels of all time. I look forward to my next visit!

At 500 sq. ft, it feels spacious and serene, with a sitting area over looking the river below, blackout drapes, soaking tub, seperate walk-in shower, pillow-top mattress, workplace, and a 55" TV that my man really appreciates. But the best part is the large private balcony with seating and a direct view of The Watchman, one of Zion's most iconic peaks. Sunrises and sunsets from here are epic. Your stay includes, wifi, parking, year-round access to the outdoor pools and hot tubs, fire pits, fitness center, bathrobes and slippers, ac/heat, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and fresh coffee each morning near the lobby. On-site you'll also find a restaurant by the name of Anthera, and a spa, both of which I recommend. With 53 rooms, the property doesn't feel like just another standard hotel. What truly sets it apart though, is what lies just behind it, the lush riverside gardens. Ending your day sitting by the river, listening to the water move past as your thoughts quiet and your whole body softens. In the morning expect to see a lot of deer grazing in the grass areas. It's genuinely spellbinding. If the restaurant on property doesn't interest you there are other walkable options nearby and this property does not allow pets. Our room was on the ground floor with two queen beds, a beautiful view across the parking lot of the red rocks and easy access to and from the parking lot (which was much appreciated since it was super cold and started to flurry overnight and into the next day). The room itself was spacious and clean, the fridge worked really well (almost TOO well - it froze our drinks!), everything was well stocked. We utilized the jacuzzi one evening despite it being in the 30s, which was clean and relaxing after a long day of travel and hiking around. The only drawback we experienced during our stay was regarding the breakfast situations during the two mornings we were there. Apparently there was an emergency floor repair in the kitchen which meant they were unable to access it to prepare the continental spread that Hampton Inn is so well-known for. Instead, each morning there were stacks of brown takeaway boxes pre-filled with different food selections, which were displayed at the front of the dining room, but the boxes were not clearly marked so people were having to open them to examine the contents of each box. The staff members were absolutely not to blame - they were running around the dining room constantly, checking on guests and seeing what they could bring out from the back to ensure everyone had what they wanted and needed. For kids, they were running back and finding cold cereal, juices, etc. If there was a vegetarian, they were finding options (i.e. frozen potato and egg breakfast burritos) for them, too. They had brought in extra microwaves to accommodate everyone having to warm their own food. I heard a few guests grumbling but the staff remained warm and friendly. One staff member in particular, Annette, deserves special recognition. She was answering everyone's questions, letting them know the repair was unfortunately expected to take 3 weeks, and that they were only 2 days into their new "routine" so they only expected it to get better and run smoother as they got into their rhythm. When our 6-year-old decided she didn't like anything on offer one of the mornings and was getting antsy, Annette walked her over to the front desk and let her pick out a coloring book to keep her occupied while mom and dad finished their breakfasts. Thank you, Annette, for helping us keep our sanity! Overall, you just can't beat the value for the price, the proximity to the Park and everything else there is to see in Springdale and Zion. We had a wonderful stay here and would absolutely stay again.
