I've stayed here 3 times now and have never been disappointed. The rooms are large and clean/they did a remodel a few year so everything is fresh. The view from Driftwood Lodge is stunning. Even my seven- and nine-year-old kids were blown away. My daughter said, "I could stay here forever." My son loved discovering new insects, walking along the riverbank, and playing on the grass. I can't imagine a better place to stay for the scenery and access to nature. The restaurant on the property, King's Landing Bistro, is a great "treat yourself" spot and very convenient to have right at the hotel. The hotel itself could use some upgrades, though. We noticed the walls were quite thin, and I could hear people talking on the other side. There is a shuttle stop conveniently right by the hotel (stop #7). There was also a gas station called Terribles where we got milk for the kids. read more

Our tour group stayed overnight at this beautiful lodge in Springdale on our way to Zion. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with large beds and well-stocked bathrooms. The outdoor patio, located in the outback, had two chairs for relaxing. Our patio overlooked the Virgin River, with two wooden chairs along the backyard near the river for enjoying the view and the soothing sound of the flowing water. Attached to the lodge was a nice restaurant called Kings Landing Bistro, where we had dinner. read more

The view from my room was amazing. It had lots of space. The pillows on the bed were awful and the ac kept me up all night because it was very loud. The staff was friendly and the hotel was in the middle of everything. I would go back with my own pillow and if the ac was updated because it was otherwise a LOVELT stay. read more

I stayed here for a night and it was a decent stay. Located at Stop 7 for the Springdale shuttle, it is on the farther end of the Zion entrance. I was on the lower level room facing the street (which I liked) near the restaurant. The room was SO spacious and so was the bathroom. There's a microwave and small refrigerator in the room which is a nice touch. The back door leads to the patio and the huge back green area with a view of Zion behind you. **Rude, Unprofessional Service -- Look Elsewhere** I'd recommend spending your vacation dollars somewhere else. I had made a reservation at the Driftwood Inn but never received a confirmation. Assuming the reservation hadn't gone through, I booked a room elsewhere. That was my mistake. When I saw I'd been charged for the night, I went to the hotel in person to explain the situation and see if there was any possibility of a refund or partial refund. I understood they were under no obligation to say yes. I was simply hoping for a respectful conversation. Instead, I got Zach. Rather than demonstrating any basic professionalism, he was petulant, rude, argumentative and dismissive. When I explained that I'd never received a confirmation, he scoffed and said, "Yeah, sometimes the emails don't go out. It happens. The owner expects to get paid." When I asked about a possible compromise, he glared and said, "What do you want from me?" He told me it that the owners were "hard-ass" and that there was no point in asking. I wasn't upset about the refund--I knew that might not be possible. I was upset about the attitude. There was no courtesy, no accountability, and no sense that customers deserve even basic respect. The Driftwood Inn may have a decent location, but if this is how they treat people, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately we only stayed one night at Driftwood. I wish we would have planned a longer stay in Zion. Check in was a breeze and the staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic. What a view of the mountains! Plus, they keep the lighting as low as possible at night for maximum star gazing. We took advantage and used our patio chairs to plant ourselves in the middle of the grass and enjoy the show of shooting stars and a sky full of twinkle. Our room was very comfortable. Plenty of outlets and USB ports for charging devices. Coffee maker and fridge provided. There is also a restaurant on site. If you've never been to Zion this is a perfect place to stay. Springdale is full of restaurants, shops, markets and rental companies for ebikes, hiking gear, narrows gears, etc. Driftwood Lodge is close to everything. You won't regret staying here. read more

If I could, I'd give Syndney a 4.5 but there is no way of me doing that on here. I came in last minute to check in and Sydney was able to ask approval to get a room for me and she was able to do a loyalty discount which really helped not having planned ahead properly. It was a nice stay except for when I had issue figuring the TV remote when I think there must have been a misunderstanding when told to hit 'tv' and not direct tv as I didn't have tv on first night but waited till almost mid night to ask then Sydney finally came by to show which would have been more helpful the first night I was there been worthwhile the whole two nights assuming everyone's having issue with their TV. Stayed here with 3 other friends for a Trip to Zion. This Lodge is perfectly located nearby if you are paying a visit to the national park. It is very clean and spacious. They have a restaurant on the property as well. The outside view from our patio was so beautiful! It was cold out at the time but it was still so beautiful to go out in the morning and see the mountain range. If I'm ever back here I would definitely stay at Driftwood again! read more

Here is another part of my Utah outings....Driftwood Lodge. I found this hotel while searching online for different accommodations just like I found the others. I was attracted to their Canyon and River luxury room. Those are the rooms with a private patio and the best unobstructed views. CHECK IN: check-in was quick and easy all the information I needed was provided right to me. For those who are checking in after the lobby closes you might be provided with additional information on how to get in. This did not apply to me though. ROOM: behind the main Lobby are separate buildings that contain the lodging I found a parking spot right outside my small building. I walked in the room and I was instantly amazed by it. I walked in to a tall slanted ceiling and many many windows that looked at a beautiful landscape. The room itself reminded me of a cabin getaway. Outside a door in the back leads to a spacious patio where you can sit and listen to the water flow of the Virgin river. The living area had two leather chairs and a table, the bathroom was a good size and also had a window in it to let in fresh air. This hotel does offer direct access to the river. The room I stayed in was very close to the river access you just had to walk through a patch of grass and desert terrain to get there. POOL: the pool here was adequate for our needs. There was also a hot tub in the corner and for those wondering it's open till at least 10 p.m.. When we were here they were doing some sort of irrigation project so there was caution tape everywhere and the ground was kind of dug up so it decreased the impression of the property a little bit but i understood what was happening. There is a separate little building for ice & laundry in the middle of the complex. There's a restaurant attached to the hotel called King's Landing which is very pricey but it smells so good when you're sitting outside your balcony. I was a little disappointed hoping the grounds would be a little more maintained especially in the back area by the river access but when you're in the wilderness that is what you get I was overall pleased with this hotel and I had a very good time. The patio was awesome and had amazing views made me not want to leave. read more

Had the worst experience in the Driftwood Lodge at 1515 Zion Park Blvd, Springdale, Utah on 4/26/2025. My husband and I feel awful and upset at how we were treated. No human beings should endure this threatening kind of treatment for simply communicating what was not serviced. We want to be clear we were not yelling at anyone but we were told we were rude to the manager when we commented that our room was not cleaned and 2 concerning issues in the room were not fixed - a loose toilet seat and slow water flowing through a calcified shower-head. We were also told we were disrespectful to them and the man threatened us that he would call the cops to escort us off their property and that they can rent our room out without a problem. We were blamed that if we had our belongings on the bed or a Do Not Disturb Sign on the door, then housekeeping would not clean our room, which we did neither. We were also told we gave them the wrong room number that was why the bathroom issues were not fixed. DO NOT COME HERE! You can get Plenty of views just as beautiful and if not better from other accommodations on the same road in Zion Park Blvd! read more

We've stayed in the same room for years and years, and have recommended this hotel to friends and family who have stayed. They've now stopped honoring room requests and treat us like a fast transaction with a "you get what you get" attitude. What an unbelievable experience. The location is perfect with a shuttle stop just out front and river access behind the lodge. The staff was incredibly helpful, the owner actually came up and introduced himself as we were unloading our truck. The grassy area was perfect for the kids to run around in the evenings. Room decorated nicely with contemporary furniture, really nice towels and linens ceramic mugs for coffee and real glasses. I appreciated the variety of coffees for the keurig. Rhere qas also a microwave and a screeching refrigerator. I had to shut the refrigerator off to stop it from waking me. I reserved an ADA room with a view - of the formations assumed!. Unfortunately not, the woman who made the reservation specifically stated there were NO Trees. I would have an unobstructed view, there are lots of trees, the view photos are attached. The ADA room has no adjacent ADA parking. So that's fun carrying bags up / down steep slope from parking lot. Low water pressure - be careful not to use much shampoo. The room was $249 a night mid week pre season for 1 person before taxes, no breakfast included. Out of all the hotels we stayed in on our tour of the southwest, this hotel was by far our favorite!! I wish we could have stayed here even longer. Check in went smoothly- the front desk even called to check in on us since we were driving all day and we were late getting to the property. The property is so beautiful and unique, and that stood out to us. Our room was in the patriarch building, and our view was to absolutely die for! Our room was large, open, clean, updated, with an even bigger bathroom than we expected. We had a separate glass shower and tub. We loved going out on our patio each night and watching the sunset on the gorgeous peaks and watching the deer graze. We loved the outdoor pool and hot tub, after long mornings of hiking we would come back and lounge around the pool and swim, and in the evenings we would soak our muscles in the hot tub to prepare for the next day of hiking. For such a beautiful property, it was surprisingly not that crowded which we liked a lot. Our hotel also sold us breakfast vouchers to Oscar's cafe, $8 a person and our whole meal was covered for- you couldn't ask for a better deal! This was some of the best breakfast we had on the entire trip, with exceptional service and the food was so filling we could hardly finish it! This is the place to stay. The suite was spotless. Towels nice and thick, plenty of hot water. The bath amenities are lovely, very nice quality. The bed was very comfortable and the sitting area was nice and cozy. The perfect place to sit with my morning coffee to watch the sun come up. The entire staff were friendly and helpful. we had a great experience here! marty (i hope i spelled that correctly) was who checked us in - i called to check in early and he was so kind on the phone as well as in person. our room was a river facing 1 bed king and it was so nice! it was for my boyfriends birthday and we planned on hiking in zion as well. the shuttle system was great in the sense of not using the car to enter zion. the pool area, laundry, and ice was all super nice as well! we were able to park our car right outside of our room for easy access also. i read several reviews about dead bugs and yes we did find some, just some flies, spiders, and a bug here and there but all in all we weren't too bothered. they also had wifi and our kitchen area was super neat also :) i also left behind an item and realized once we were home but we contacted the hotel and they were able to ship back to me (still waiting on that) but we loved our stay thank you! read more

Great location, clean rooms. I had a 2 bedroom room on a corner (201) & it was perfect. Ample parking. The pool & spa were open - when during COVID-19 which was pretty cool. The room itself had everything I needed - big bathroom, hot water, WiFi, comfortable king sized bed, cold A/C. It was quiet and peaceful. The views of Zion are incredible from here! There's a restaurant attached to the hotel, I didn't try it but it's there for convenience. Lots of food options nearby & within walking/a short drive. It combines the outdoors and the nice relaxing place to put your head down perfectly. Nestled in the beginning parts of Springdale, UT. This almost spa and resort like lodge is a great place to rest after doing all that awesome outdoorsy stuff that you came to Zion National Park for. The first thing you will always notice in a hotel is the lobby. This is where the first impression comes in and they definitely knocked it out of the park. It doesn't feel like a hotel, but a nice little lodge retreat. It's not the biggest lobby but it's one of the nicely put together ones I've seen. The staff is very nice as well, service with a smile is two thumbs up. Our room was located in the Angels Landing section. It looks new, it feels new and it even smells new. Guess what!? It must be new! The rooms are big, it comes with a table, a bed or two, some windows, a tv, night stands, lights, a bathroom, fridge, microwave oven and a sink!! Don't let me forget to mention the balcony. I guess this is where you come out and have some fresh air or something. I think these rooms are hella awesome. After a whole day of getting your butt kicked on the trails. You might want to wind down and take a quick dip in their heated pool or melt your aching muscles away in the hot tub. Yes, they're outdoors and yes they are well heated. Stop making excuses. I enjoyed stating here and I will see you again Driftwood Lodge. TLDR: Five roaches in the room when we arrived, two additional dead roaches the next day. Terrible smell in the room. Rude customer service from the young guy at the front desk. We booked a room here last minute due to our previously reserved campground not working out (turns out we should have payed attention to the campsite being located on "Hurricane Mesa"--we got stuck in an epically awful sandstorm that filled our tent with dust, but I digress). So, we were really looking forward to treating ourselves and staying here (splurged on $220 +$30 in taxes/night). Not sure if our experience was unfortunate (as compared to the other glowing reviews here) due to the room, which was a corner room on the first floor and booking during a busy time (Utah fall break). When we went into our room at the Driftwood Lodge, we immediately noticed a foul odor and four dead cockroaches and one live roach on the floor. I went to the front desk to request that something be done. I said "There are four dead roaches and a live roach and the room smells bad." The apathetic young guy at the front desk says, in an annoyed tone, and I quote: "You're in the wilderness, so there's going to be roaches. They probably got in when the door was open." I am confused at that point because normal customer service etiquette, in my mind, would involve a profuse apology and an immediate offer to remedy the situation. So, at that point, I'm just standing there shocked. He then says, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" I say "Please remove the roaches and clean the floor. And, can you also do something about the smell?" He sighs and says he'll go do it when he gets a chance. We get dinner and when we go back to the room 4/5 roaches have been removed and one remained. We discovered the smell (we both felt like it was an odor of "death", which I realize is not particularly descriptive) was coming from the drain in the bathroom floor. My husband (who is an architect) guessed that gas must be coming up from the drain because the bathroom had the strongest odor (although the scent was also in the bedroom). We ended up covering the drain with a wash rag and trash can and opened all of the windows. This eventually caused the odor to reduce. The next morning, there were two additional dead roaches on the floor of the room. I'm sorry, but when I'm paying $250/night, I don't expect the hotel to be this bad, in terms of bugs, stench, and front desk service. Also, the room layout was awkward and the lighting very dim. Nice features: the bed was comfortable, the hot tub was pleasant, a great restaurant is on the property, when we had an issue with the hot tub (door to gate wouldn't open) the older woman at the front desk was helpful. Location was convenient. The back porch was pleasant. Someone just needs to teach the guy at the front desk about customer service. read more

We stayed here Mon-Wed on Thanksgiving Week. We booked online about two months in advance for a double room with a view (2 queen beds, $119/night). We changed our reservation by phone a few weeks later to a family room with a view (2 bedrooms with a king bed in one, 2 queens in the other, $239/night). Each of our rooms had a TV with pretty good cable options. PROS: This place is pretty nice. You won't get too much of a quaint lodge vibe, but it's clean and the rooms are fine. It's really hard not to get a room with a 'view' - there are mountains on either side of the valley, and even if your room doesn't have a direct view, you probably only need to walk a few feet to get one! We rarely got to even enjoy the view, as we often got back after sunset from our hikes, or were up before sunrise. We used the hot tub one night and that was nice after a long day of hiking. King's Landing restaurant is right there, and has a good dinner, but is a bit pricey ($148 total for dinner + drinks for four). CONS: On a map, Driftwood Lodge looks plenty close to the Zion park entrance. However, given how small Springdale is, Driftwood is actually quite a ways south of "downtown" Springdale. We weren't walking distance to any other businesses or restaurants (besides King's Landing restaurant, which is in their lobby). The drive is short to downtown, but as of Thanksgiving 2017, there was a long section of construction that only allows one direction of traffic through at a time, which caused us (depending on the time of day) anywhere from 10-45 minutes of delay. Of course, this is of no fault to Driftwood Lodge, but keep this in mind and make sure to call when you're booking to see if there is construction going on. If we had stayed in downtown Springdale, it would have saved us a significant amount of time getting to and from the lodge! As a side note, the wi-fi was pretty weak (uploading photos was slow, and I couldn't do bulk uploads. I would not have tried streaming videos). Also, if you have a balcony on the first floor, it's just open (no railing). Not a big deal, but not much privacy. Your key card will work on the back doors that open onto the balcony (and there were two doors, one for each bedroom), It did allow us to just walk directly out the back to the hot tub! Also, I put the "do not disturb" sign on our door, a habit when I stay at hotels just to save them the trouble of changing out the towels/making beds. However, they still left us a bag of folded towels and a box of Kleenex, which was strange (and quite unnecessary). read more

My family and I stayed here for two nights and I personally had no problems! The view was great and the lodge itself was simple and classic but comforting. Check-in was swift and simple, and the parking spots were decently close to the room. This place left a good mark on me and I'd stay there again if given the option. read more

Nice property! Booked online thru 3rd party, so some of my complaints, lies with that. Upon arrival, we were asked if wanted to upgrade to a nicer room, farther from the construction. Sure! $20 more bucks. Ok. But, as night fell, saw we were about 1 of 5 other rooms on the property? Just give us a room farther from the road without the upgrade?! Felt a little disingenuous. We also were offered a discounted breakfast. Yes, it is discount, but, all other rooms we have stayed in this trip, comped breakfast. My husband and I booked a room at the driftwood lodge really last minute. We had our pup with us, so options were limited and we were worried we wouldn't be able to find a nice place to stay. Fortunately for us, Driftwood Lodge has a room open, and let us bring our dog. My parents had stayed here a couple months ago and had nothing but good things to say, so we were super excited for our stay. The room was awesome. Incredibly clean and looked newly renovated. I'm so so picky about cleanliness and feel kind of gross in a lot of hotel rooms, but Driftwood got it right. I instantly felt at home and relaxed. Check in and check out was easy and quick. Honestly, it was all around a really good experience, and the price was good too. Our favorite part of the room for sure though was the "backyard". Right out of our backdoor we could see beautiful mountains and there was a huge grassy area that was perfect for our dog! We wished we would have been staying longer than one night, just so we could have enjoyed the room and view a little longer. read more

If you're looking for a place to settle for a couple nights near Zion, this is the spot. I stayed here for 3 nights with my dogs while on a trip to Zion. I would definitely stay here again. My room was huge and fully stocked with a fridge, microwave, Keurig and plenty of toiletries. The back patio walked right out to a grassy field for the dogs and looked out to the most beautiful mountain view. The lodge was quiet and close to town and had a shuttle stop right out front. The drive to the Zion entrance is literally 5 minutes away if you choose to drive. You can't beat the location. I walked over to King's Bistro one night for dinner and ate out on the patio... an unreal dinner experience. To see the red rock mountains light up at sunset is absolutely incredible. read more

Located right outside of Zion National Park, these lodging accommodations perfectly suited our needs. Roadtripping with two dogs, we had stayed in two other places we loved around southern Utah but this one was by far our favorite. Our room was huge with hard flooring (no carpet) and a back porch overlooking a large grassy field (really convenient when you have dogs). If we had stayed longer, I would have loved to put in more time on that porch, be it wine and conversation, dinner outside, or just relaxing with the pups. The price rate was more than reasonable, there was ample parking, and the front desk was accommodating and gave precise recommendations on where to eat. Our only regret (which doesn't detract from the excellent star rating) is that the lodge's in-house restaurant (which was rated the highest in downtown Springdale) was closed for 10 days which just so happened to coincide with our December stay. 10/10 Recommend and will likely return. read more

What a cute lodge! We liked that it is not right in the middle of town - kept everything quiet. The views were spectacular. Then again, the town is beautiful. Room was nicely updated. Enjoyed the fact that we had a microwave, fridge, and coffeemaker. Wish there was a light overhead of that little alcove so we could see what we were doing. Bathroom had plenty of counter-space. Shower was good size and heated up fast! We were on the second floor and were given a room with a large deck. Enjoyed my morning coffee and afternoon reading out there. Check-in was fast and easy. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. Even when we were packing up to leave, housekeeping offered to help us carry our bags downstairs. Pool was nice to take a dip in after hiking and cool off. Clean and not too deep. Property overall is well taken care of and it looks like they will be updating the area by the river soon. We recommend this lodge as a reasonably priced alternative to some of the other properties in town. You will not be disappointed! read more

It's highly unusual to find a restaurant that has amazing food, spectacular views and can be entertaining children during dinner. We had a lovely evening dining outside with a glowing sunset view on Red Rock formations. While we waited for dinner Our children played on the ample lawn where we could easily keep an eye on them. Food-wise, every single dish was exquisitely prepared and delicious including the vegetarian plate, medallions of beef and hamburger plate. The preparation of the asparagus was especially remarkable. The first few days of our stay were decent enough. The room we stayed in was very dated, but the location was convenient for getting to both hiking at Zion and restaurants around town. However, a few days into our 6 night stay, we saw 3 roaches in our ground floor room (2 live, 1 dead) within 24 hours. In addition, there were a bunch of large roaches out by the pool area. We spoke to the front desk, and they called us back within 5 minutes to offer a new, "upgraded" room on the 2nd floor of a different building on the property (there are only two floors in the buildings, but we thought a higher floor might help with the bug infestation problem). We were very grateful for the quick response, and we got the keys to our new room. Upon entering the new room, we did see that the room was updated/recently renovated. But when we entered the room, we found THOUSANDS of bugs on the drapes. It looked like the drapes were completely covered in live bugs there were so many. We immediately took a picture and went back to the front desk to see what was going on. These bugs were not simple "no-see-ems" that die in a few minutes (they appeared to be unopened moths or something like that) and they were covering every inch of the drapes. The manager was very unapologetic, and she basically said there are roaches and gnats everywhere and that we just needed to deal with it. We were met with a lot of snark from the front desk staff and manager (they were literally smirking at us as we described the problem we were having in our rooms). The manager said our only options were to take the new room with the thousands of bugs on the curtains or our original room with the roaches, and she would spray around our original room. The only other option she provided was to cancel our reservation for the rest of the nights and leave us to find accommodation for the remaining two nights (including a Friday night over a holiday weekend, which would have been difficult last minute). The front desk staff knows they are booked up because there are only a certain amount of hotels in Springdale and did not seem interested in making this right. This made us feel very uncomfortable staying at the hotel. We had to leave all of our belongings in our car because of the fear of roaches getting in our bags. I have stayed in hostels with better levels of cleanliness and customer service than this hotel, and at over $300 per night with a $2000 total bill, I expected a lot better. Another thing to note is that the hotel will charge your whole bill to your credit card prior to your stay--I believe this is stated in their policies even if it is a bit out of the norm, but combined with the attitude of the manager and front desk staff, this really didn't sit well with me. read more

I am surprised by the mixed reviews regarding the customer service, because service is top notch at this lodge. The front desk ladies were always very nice, welcoming, informative, and accommodating. The room is spacious and clean. The view from the room is breathtaking. We would stay here again! read more

We loved this place and will 100% stay here next time we're in town (and we loved Zion so much we will be back!). My boyfriend and I were in town to hike all day in Zion and down and relax in the evenings. His hotel was perfect for this! A few highlights - Location was great. We are early birds and got to the park before the Springdale shuttle was running. Hot tub with a view - literally can't beat that. Also, no one was using it! Clean and modern - for the rate (esp compared to other hotels on the main drag) this really exceeded our expectations. Kings Landing - the restaurant at the hotel is ok he pricey side but straight up amazing. Wait for a table on the patio with a view and be sure to go at sunset. Hands down the best food we had all weekend in Springdale. Only a few things to be aware of - No light switches in the room. We had ~4 lamps but no way to turn on all the lights. It was too dark for us :) We weren't in the room much anyway, but when we were it was night time so this was a slight issue. We didn't get communication about the front desk closing at 10pm until I listened to a voice mail after we landed at ~8pm. I've been getting so many random phone calls because of the proximity of the election I almost ignored it. I even called the day before to confirm our reservation and no one mentioned it. In the end it wasn't an issue and we called back and they gave us instructions. But something to be aware of - if you're getting in after 10pm make sure you get the instructions! We booked this place after researching others in the area. I have to say this was an awesome choice! The employees there were so nice and the rooms are very nice and clean. Our room was a double queen which was very roomy with a fridge and microwave. I know that sounds kind of dumb to tell but it was good to have because we went to the market and got waters and breakfast items for an early morning hike where we needed to heat them. So bonus to us. The bathroom was roomy and everything was updated. Our room was upstairs by the river which was awesome at night. Another plus to this place is one of the bus drop offs and pick ups to go into the park are literally in the front! They have a restaurant there as well that we didn't get a chance to go to (they close at 9pm) but I would definitely recommend staying here! We know we will when we come back. read more
