What an amazing establishment. The location is second to none--Virgin River on one side and the entrance to Zion National Park on the other. Restaurants, coffee, desserts, shopping, a market, and gear rentals are all just steps away. The property has a lovely atmosphere, a quaint pool, and an attentive front desk that was incredibly helpful during our stay. A bonus was the beautiful spa on-site, complete with yoga classes and wellness offerings. I couldn't believe how thoughtfully curated the entire experience was. I think this was my favorite stay in Utah. This Lodge is in a PERFECT location, and you're paying for it. But they also have the amenities too, and really have a good thing going, I truly enjoyed our stay. Checking in, we had rooms in a building toward the back of the grounds. Not far from the Pool/hot tub. Our room was very spacious, a large bedroom, large bathroom, a dining area, a kitchen and a living space as well as a foyer to drop our dirty shoes and hiking gear. We also very much enjoyed the restaurant, the general store, the gift shop, the hot tub, pool, laundry, ice machine and beautifully manicured grounds. I loved the breakfast burrito at the coffee shop and wish for it often. Does it cost extra to be able to walk right into Zion NP? Does it cost extra to have all the amenities above and more? Oh yes. The room was clean, it had a full size refrigerator, a two burner stove with a tea kettle, dish ware and cleaning supplies, coffee and tea packets, spacious room with a table to dine at, and a separate seating area. The towel hook in the bathroom was broke so we couldn't use it to hang our towels. There's no light above the tub so the shower area is dimly lit. The property: beautiful! I love that there is an onsite spa (did not use but they provided a coupon for discounted service); a marketplace; a brew pub with delicious food; an activity center for e-bike rental and more. Right at the entrance to Zion National Park with access to fulfill all your needs within a few steps from accommodations (mini market, souvenir shops, restaurant, ice cream stand, coffee shop, spa, gear rentals, and shuttle stop). We stayed in a classic suite and it was perfect. While the suite feels a little dated, the furnishings are good quality and space well cared for. Bed was comfortable and much needed for rest after a grueling hike through the narrows. Basic kitchenware were also available to prepare meals. I was actually supposed to stay in another city but lost GPS and phone service. Therefore, I followed the signs to Zion NP and found Cable Mountain Lodge. It was very convenient because I hadn't eaten all day and there was a grocery store on site along with a gift shop. The room was extremely neat, clean, and up-to-date. First off, I agree with the most recent review: do NOT get (or let them give you) a bottom floor room here. You hear EVERYTHING. We had reserved a top floor room (more for the view - we didn't know about the noise) and was told "sorry" because a lot of rooms were taken from "the convention" and we could change rooms during our stay if we wanted to (who wants to do that?). So, despite the room-specific reservation, that's how it goes, folks. When it came to comfort, the amenities were fine inside. The beds were a little worn out, and the pillows came in two styles: bag of laundry, and meatball. Sounds weird to bring your own pillow, but if you're here on a road trip, I'd advise to do so. This location is essentially right AT the park, so if you stay here, you're saving a lot of time and trouble. But, if all of our neighbors (whom we could, again, hear EVERYTHING) are an example, this is the place to stay when you plan to get up at the crack of dawn and stay at the park all day. If you have any other plans besides hiking at the park (and you don't luck into a top floor room) I'd advise elsewhere. This was probably my 10th time staying here...and will also be my last. The carts they have staff using at 8am on, going by every 10 minutes is ridiculous!!! They have small wheels and every crack in the sidewalk makes the whole ground shake. I called the front desk they said they would let staff know. The only thing that happened was the frequency seemed to go up after this. My vacation was significantly worse due to lack of sleep. Upon check out all I was told was that staff would be notified...which I was told at 8:30am when I called the desk and nothing changed. Didn't seem like they wanted to do anything to make me a happy customer on my way out. Such a bummer used to love staying here. Now will look elsewhere in Zion. read more

I had the absolute pleasure of coming to cable mountain lodge for a short stay. Our group had two rooms and both were absolutely beautiful. The rooms were clean, had plenty of space, and felt luxurious. The lodge itself is right on the entrance of the park so it allows for the ultimate experience in Zion. Well, it's a monday morning and I'm consoling myself about the end of our trip by writing reviews for places we stayed along the way. How I wish I was still at the dreamy cable mountain resort, waking up to that gorgeous view each morning. Everything here was perfection and I hope we will someday return. The location literally doesn't get better than this. If you plan to do the narrows, Zion outfitters, right on site, will hook you up with all the gear you need + a discount. Then, the visitor center and the shuttle into the park is just across the bridge. We took advantage of most of the offerings of the resort. There is a convenience store on-site that leans toward hiking snacks and easy meals. We intended to go into town but ended up eating at the brewery every night. The food was really good! The spa is so much more than meets the eye. We both enjoyed massages with Robert as well as just generally hanging out in the soaking pools and the relaxation lounge. Wonderful. On the other days, we also enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. It could have been a little hotter and maybe a bit bigger but definitely enjoyed it nonetheless. We also appreciated that there were 2+ tesla chargers and 2+ other chargers too. So, we were always able to charge up as necessary and other guests were good about rotating through the chargers so no one ever had to wait. Wait, should I have started with my impressions of the room? Anyway, the room was AMAZING. Absolutely huge with a gorgeous view, a little deck to enjoy the view. Separate sleeping and living areas. Plenty of closets to store all your gear. Really ideal. I can't believe I've waited this long to address the service. The service absolutely everywhere was just wonderful. People were so kind, caring, and welcoming. The brewery and zion outfitters are BUSY but they have a process down to keep it moving. As we were leaving, I noticed that there are places to hang out along the river to grill, eat dinner at picnic tables, etc. We didn't do this but if I came back I'd try to arrange a meal around this idea. Anyway, this place could just phone it in given their proximity to the canyon but they don't and I can't wait to return. read more

Great lodge right at the entrance to Zion. Can't get any closer! It's a big complex with several two-story buildings with full apartments including an efficient kitchen, very spacious rooms, and a balcony. Ours was a walkup, so check if that is a concern. Depending on your room, you might have some awesome views. There is a lively pub with good food, grocery, coffee shop, gear/gift shop, spa, and ice cream stand. Very close to other restaurants as well. Very helpful staff. In fact, Clarissa deserves special commendation. When we checked out, my wife's airpod case dropped onto the exterior stairs. What we didn't realize until we were long gone, was that one of her earbuds fell out and the case somehow reclosed. We called the hotel and Clarissa went out and sure enough found the earbud on the ground under the stairs. She called to tell us she found them and then mailed it back to us. Epic! We stayed here for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary in mid November. Great time to visit to avoid crowds if you don't mind the colder weather. The place is spectacular! Recommend it 100%. Super clean, the staff was great and it is right at the entrance to Zion National Park and the scenic highway. You have everything you need on site. If you want peace and quiet do NOT stay on the bottom floor at this resort. You can hear everyone and everything walking around above you and each time the shower is on you can hear the water running down through the pipes. -Food is mediocre at best. -Staff are not very welcoming or amenable. -Rooms are comfortable (again, avoid the bottom floor). -If you like to sleep in past 8am this is not the place for you. -Location is great, can't beat it! -This is a 3-star hotel and it definitely meets (does not exceed) 3-star expectations. I was looking for a place to stay right within walking distance of the park. I had come across this hotel/Lodge during my search. The property itself is connected to a gift shop a Brewpub and some other businesses. If you drive by it at first glance you probably don't know it's there but once you drive in you can see that a little farther back is a really beautiful place to stay. I checked in and was given directions to one of the buildings in the rear, the buildings were very nice looking...almost like a lodge buried within the wilderness ...which it was. If you do some exploring you'll find that along the side of the property right across from the building there's this embankment where you can walk down and sit in chairs along the Virgin River... they're also BBQ grills down there. A very peaceful area without even having to go in the park. THE SUITE: the suite I booked was marvelous, you walk in and it's like your own little apartment or in my case it wasn't little it was very spacious. There was plenty of windows, a couch, large wooden coffee table, a full kitchen, a separate bedroom. Double doors that lead to a patio where you can just sit and look at the stars. The bathroom was a good size and in great almost new like repair. The bathroom had a built-in bidet in the toilet. You can tell when a property cares about little details... the room definitely fit the mold for not only a Lodge setting but also luxury because they had luxury towels that you could feel the weight and quality of amongst other little minor details like the shower fixtures & the sink fixtures all of higher quality. POOL: in addition to the Virgin River this hotel has a nice pool area. All along the pool area's fence line they have flowers. But what's most attractive about the pool area is that while you're relaxing in the water, you can look all around you and see the beautiful mountains and rock formations truly a scenic paradise. The pool and hot tub are both open until 10 p.m. the pool lights up blue at night. At night you can see the stars and don't hear a peep... I haven't been to a property quite like this but it truly captured the concept of a getaway in the wilderness. I can't recommend this property enough and I can't wait to go back myself read more

Absolutely adore this lodge. The room was very clean, smelled great and had a beautiful view of the gorgeous cliffs. You are as close as you can stay to the entrance of Zion in Springdale. The pool and hot tub was clutch as it was very hot one day and another rainy/cloudy day which worked out wonderful for my aching muscles. The spa in the lodge was the highlight of my trip. By staying at this lodge, you get a discount to the spa and a couple restaurants and stores nearby, which is very helpful considering the prices near Zion. Zion is gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but there is only so much to do in the park, and having this lodge to hang out the other half of the day was a blessing. After a 7 mile hike we needed a place to chill and I highly recommend this place for the hikers and the viewers out there who want the best when they visit Zion. read more

THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY the next time you come to Utah. Our lodgings were nestled in downtown (?) Springdale, Utah. We couldn't be happier with the venue, accommodations, and proximity to anything you might need for your stay in / at / near Zion Nat'l Park. The fact that our room had a full bath, queen bed, pull out couch bed, and kitchenette with a dishwasher and fridge made it that much easier to make this space our "home away from home." We were within walking distance to two coffee shops, a souvenir store, brew pub, market, a store to buy / rent hard-core hiking gear AND the piece de resistance: The Entrance to Zion Nat'l Park (of which I wrote of in a previous post). The lodgings were quaint, clean, and cozy. There was a little desk in our bedroom which made for a perfect setting for our little guy to get his homework done .... because school. This hotel has an outdoor heated pool / jacuzzi, and a set of adirondack chairs situated by the stream that runs along the backside of the hotel (which was so peaceful). As well, there are grills for cooking outdoors. They say hindsight is 20/20; now that I know how this place works, I'll bring food from home to stock the fridge, and "aggressive" hiking shoes to try out different trails in the National Park. I would definitely come back and stay here. read more

So after calling ahead we arrived to be greeted by a jerk in the parking lot that said my wife only had 5 minutes to get to the front desk and back because your not allowed to park in the lot. ??? Then we knew of vacancy on the days we were going to book. The Desk clerk said no vacancy's for a year. When my wife questioned the dates he said yeh we have that available. She came out and told me how this guy acted and after the lot guy that we came across we quickly decided that this was not where we were going to stay. read more

This was an excellent 2-night stay during our time at Zion National Park. The lodge was spacious, clean, and convenient. The lodge area also had a nice small community feel to it, I felt safe and at home. The front desk was friendly and our check-in/out process was smooth and quick. There is plenty of parking available and the front desk will guide you to the parking area closest to your lodge. Our room had a sofa bed, wall bed, and a king size bed in a separate room. The room also includes a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, stove, and the cabinets are stocked with all essential utensils, flatware, and pans. There are two floors for each lodge unit, and we made sure to request the 2nd floor. 1st floor units have a porch, while the 2nd floor has a balcony. Conveniently located right across from the Zion National Park entrance, it's a super short walk into the park. It also borders the Virgin River, which makes for a nice stroll along the river. There is also a small market, coffee shop, and rental store in the vicinity of the lodge. A short walk to the main road will also yield other eateries, such as a Subways and a Thai restaurant. If you're looking for a place to stay, give Cable Mountain Lodge a consideration, they were a great base camp for us! read more

Highly recommend staying here if you're planning on visiting Zion National Park. I was worried that we wouldn't have food/drinks, but they had everything on site here! I loved that they had a small coffee shop and they even had breakfast items: breakfast tacos/burritos, sandwiches, pastries. It was surprisingly very good! So we took full advantage! The prices were also very reasonable. They also had a little market and gift shops on site. Also, you get a small discount with your room key if you show it at the register of the shops on site. The room itself is very nice with two beds, a couch, and a small kitchen. We had four people in our group and everyone slept comfortably. I imagine you can sleep at least 6 people in the room comfortably. It felt very clean and for $300 per night, we def got our money's worth. We didn't use the kitchen but utilized the full-size fridge. You can park your car near your cabin for free and you can walk to the entrance of the park. Here's a tip! If you go before the kiosks open, then you don't have to pay for the entrance fee. Entrance fee is $20/person. From there you can take a shuttle to your respective trail. We went mid-April and the weather was amazing! It was a brisk 50 degrees in the am, but a summery 80 degrees by the time you came down. We ended up hiking Angel's Landing and it was AMAZING. Highly recommend that trail! Make sure you go early (7 or 8 am) tho because some parts of the trail have one-way traffic and you don't wanna be stuck waiting for people coming up/down from the opposite way. read more

This is probably the best and closest property you can stay at if you want to be within walking distance of the park entrance. I was actually really surprised how close it was to the visitor center for Zion National Park. The property also has more than just the hotel rooms on it. It has shops(you get a discount when you stay at the lodge), coffee shop, brewery, a place to rent gear for hiking, a shuttle stand, and places to relax and take in the splendor of your surroundings. Front desk agents and check-in went smoothly and they let us check in early without fuss. For how close you are to the park and the quality of the accommodations, I would say the prices are fair(definitely more than a Motel 6, though). The room was clean(although I still always bring disinfectant wipes with me everywhere I go), including the bathroom. My family and I stayed in a unit with a small kitchen that had a stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, small fridge. It was a single queen in the bedroom and pull out couch(which was moderately comfortable to sleep on). Our unit had a balcony with a glorious view of Zion, which was really lovely in the morning with some coffee and breakfast. The part that impressed me the most was how quiet the property was at night. SO quiet and relaxing at night. Right now the staff is not doing daily cleaning/maid services due to the pandemic, but if you call and ask for extra towels, glasses, chairs, etc, they will bring them....eventually. This was one minor point of annoyance. We had to call multiple times with our requests if we wanted something, but they eventually did come through and were friendly about it(and safe. All staff were wearing masks when interacting with guests). Overall, a great property to stay at and one that I would definitely return to. read more

I had an amazing 2-night stay at Cable Mountain lodge in their wall bed unit. It was spacious, clean, well maintained and conveniently located. My room had with a sofa (bed), Murphy bed, and king size bed in a separate suite. There's a kitchenette with a full size fridge, microwave and stove along with all required utensils/flatware/pans (yes to that wine opener and can opener). No oven though. The hotel looked recently remodeled. There are two floors so make sure to request accordingly. The 2nd floor has balconies while the 1st floor has a porch area. During the winter time only the jacuzzi is available (not the pool) and it's pretty popular. Honestly though the best thing about the hotel was the location. It shares a parking lot with a small grocery store, coffee shop and equipment rental store. It borders the Virgin river. It also is a 5 min walk from the park entrance and an equally quick drive! read more

A beautiful spot literally within a 2 minute walk to the entrance of Zion National Park. Our room did not have a Mountain View but was still beautiful. We were glad we were on the first floor because if not, we would have had to drag our luggage up the steps to a 2nd floor room. No real big deal but be aware - they're are no elevators. The outdoor pool and hot tub area is beautiful with the mountains all in view. The grounds are spotless and are well maintained. All dining options are off the property. Some are located, again, within walking distance, many others by taking the free shuttle bus into the business district. We would not hesitate to stay here again for a future visit. read more

Stayed here for two nights while visiting Zion in the middle of April. This stay was the splurge for our trip as it's within walking distance of the entrance to the National Park. The location is amazing!!! The grounds are really well kept, it is very quiet and the Virgin River runs right behind the property and there is a view of the Watchman. The lodge also has a pool and hot tub, laundry facilities and convenient ice. There is a market, Brew Pub and Outfitter adjacent. It is an extremely short walk to the pedestrian entrance of the park and shuttle. There are other restaurants and shops within walking distance in Springdale or a short drive. Our room included a microwave, refrigerator and Direct TV. The bed was amazing, it was extremely soft and comfortable. The towels were very nice as well. The room was very quiet and well maintained with nice furnishings. It was a very short walk to the pool and hot tub. Overall this was an amazing stay. read more

We got a room which had absolutely no view and was high-priced. We requested multiple times to switch rooms and the manager finally heard our request. We finally moved to a room, smaller than our original, which had amazing views and was cheaper. It worked better since it was just the two of us and we didn't really need the bigger room (it was the only one available on the website when we made the reservation). He also readjusted the price for us. He was awesome and so courteous! The rooms have upgraded interiors and are very comfortable! This place is awesome! The amenities were fantastic and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They did a great job cleaning up from the flash flood they had just several days before our arrival. There is still more to clean up because it was pretty devastating but all in all they are working around the clock to get it back to the way it was. As we took the shuttle into the park we saw the lodge where you can actually stay in the park and we were glad we didn't stay there. Nothing beats location and this lodge has it! Located almost within Zion National Park, you can easily walk into the park. Note that in high season, you have to take a shuttle bus into the park and cannot even drive your car in. The walk is along the nearby Virgin River, and features beautiful water vistas as you make your way into the park. We first reserved a room online at the $169.00 rate for a junior suite, but upon arrival found that it was one huge room with two Queen beds, a kitchenette and a seating area. There was a "viewing area" at the end of the hall right outside the room on a large balcony that the wing shared. It was nice and new and ultramodern, probably perfect for a family with kids, since everyone could reach the bathroom from the large room. This new wing seems to be three stories tall, with an elevator, and looks like it was created out of the IMAX theater space that used to be there. The Lodge has also taken over a couple of store spaces, and there is a cosy revamped reception area. After viewing the new room, however, we had nostalgia for the other type room we had stayed in before in the lower building. We opted to pay more, and went back to the desk, and were able to check in to one of the cabin type rooms on the original lower wing, on the upper floor. The check-in guy was great and within minutes we were ensconced in a one-bedroom, with kitchen, living room, entry, balcony and bathroom with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub!! It was freezy out, and I immediately turned on the fireplace and tried out the tub, which was huge and relaxing. It was just too cold to walk outside to the hot tub, even though it was still open. The room featured pleasant toiletries, a huge shower along with the tub, and was spotlessly clean. It had two tvs, and a fold out bed in the living area for extra guests. We woke up, took hot coffee out to the balcony and breathed in the beautiful river view. read more

This was an absolutely lovely place to stay! We were here for 6 days/nights hiking, relaxing, taking in the beauty and oh yeah, my husband attended a conference in town. We were also celebrating our 25th anniversary. Our Judy Ann Suite was spacious with a kitchenette, living area with a couch/tv, balcony with 2 chairs, and the bedroom/bath area was perfect. The jetted tub was a blessing after some long days hiking. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. (The cost was comparable with the conference hotel so we were happy that spot was booked!!!) We loved being so close to the park. The coffee shop, market and Brewpub were all frequent stops for us. *Be warned* grocery prices in town are touristy high! We did buy some cheese/crackers, trail mix, cereal, milk and sandwiches during our time here for lunches on the trail. If you are staying at the Lodge you get a discount at all of these spots which we appreciated. All good things are wild and free! No I'm not talking about a crazy girls night I'm talking about a visiting a National Park! I needed a hotel and I needed one quick. We booked our trip to Zion last minute and we had no hotel! Cable Mountain Lodge was looking good with excellent ratings on yelp and trip adviser so I figured I would give them a shot. They said they were a 7 minute walk away from the park and they didn't lie, they were! The cool thing about being 7 minutes away from Zion is that we didn't have to find or pay for parking. Zion was right there! We just had to walk and get on the shuttle. On the way to the shuttle we stopped at the their coffee shop. What would I do without my coffee! Our hotel room was lovely and had a cabin feel to it. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, and other amenities. The room was set up to feel more like home than a hotel room. The bathroom was clean and spacious with a nice big bathtub. The beds were fluffy and soft, so comfortable. The lodge itself is cute and everything is very convenient. When you walk in the lobby to check in they have complimentary chocolate chip cookies baked out of the oven for the guests arriving. How could I say no to cookies! Along with their coffee shop they have a gift shop, restaurant/bar and market. We picked up water and snacks at the market before our hike. They are super nice inside and answered all our excessive questions about Zion and the hikes. If all that wasn't good enough they have a jacuzzi and pool to seal the deal! Perfect to soak in after a long hike. (Open until 10). Cable Mountain Lodge is the perfect place to stay if you're visiting Zion. On our trip we also visited Bryce National Park. It's only two hours away so we just stayed here the whole entire time and just did the drive. Happy hiking...happy life! read more

Great rooms with views of Zion. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking equipment and a coffee maker with Wolfgang Puck coffee. The bed is very comfy with plenty of pillows. We had the Judy Ann Suite and the jacuzzi tub was large and relaxing with one side of the two sided fireplace facing the tub. The staff is friendly and will give you a list of local restaurants open and their hours. Been here several time. A bit more expensive than other places but if you want to cook some meals in a larger suite - this is the place. read more
