The room was clean, it had a full size refrigerator, a two burner stove with a tea kettle, dish ware and cleaning supplies, coffee and tea packets, spacious room with a table to dine at, and a separate seating area. The towel hook in the bathroom was broke so we couldn't use it to hang our towels. There's no light above the tub so the shower area is dimly lit. The property: beautiful! I love that there is an onsite spa (did not use but they provided a coupon for discounted service); a marketplace; a brew pub with delicious food; an activity center for e-bike rental and more. The best part is the proximity to Zion National Park. The bridge connecting you to the visitors center and park shuttle service is within minutes of the hotel lobby. Very convenient.

First off, I agree with the most recent review: do NOT get (or let them give you) a bottom floor room here. You hear EVERYTHING. We had reserved a top floor room (more for the view - we didn't know about the noise) and was told "sorry" because a lot of rooms were taken from "the convention" and we could change rooms during our stay if we wanted to (who wants to do that?). So, despite the room-specific reservation, that's how it goes, folks. When it came to comfort, the amenities were fine inside. The beds were a little worn out, and the pillows came in two styles: bag of laundry, and meatball. Sounds weird to bring your own pillow, but if you're here on a road trip, I'd advise to do so. This location is essentially right AT the park, so if you stay here, you're saving a lot of time and trouble. But, if all of our neighbors (whom we could, again, hear EVERYTHING) are an example, this is the place to stay when you plan to get up at the crack of dawn and stay at the park all day. If you have any other plans besides hiking at the park (and you don't luck into a top floor room) I'd advise elsewhere. The nature around the lodge is beautiful, and even during our stay (up early because everyone else around us did so and you couldn't avoid it) we met some locals as you see...

Loved this place and the location was fabulous for visiting Zion Natl Park. Staff was very nice, rooms great. View from the room

I had the absolute pleasure of coming to cable mountain lodge for a short stay. Our group had two rooms and both were absolutely beautiful. The rooms were clean, had plenty of space, and felt luxurious. The lodge itself is right on the entrance of the park so it allows for the ultimate experience in Zion. There's a small grocery store, a restaurant, rentals, gift shops, and a spa so truly everything you need is within walking distance! The best part is the views. You really can't go wrong with views like this.

Located next to Zion shuttle station so that you can just walk from your room to the shuttle. Rooms are in decent condition and have enough amenities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant and convince market next door.

We stayed here for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary in mid November. Great time to visit to avoid crowds if you don't mind the colder weather. The place is spectacular! Recommend it 100%. Super clean, the staff was great and it is right at the entrance to Zion National Park and the scenic highway. You have everything you need on site. A cafe for breakfast or lunch, a market, restaurant, e-bike and hiking gear if needed. We will be back!

This place is so so beautiful! Right outside Zion National Park. Have stayed here multiple times. Everyone is super friendly. Never disappoints!

I was looking for a place to stay right within walking distance of the park. I had come across this hotel/Lodge during my search. The property itself is connected to a gift shop a Brewpub and some other businesses. If you drive by it at first glance you probably don't know it's there but once you drive in you can see that a little farther back is a really beautiful place to stay. I checked in and was given directions to one of the buildings in the rear, the buildings were very nice looking...almost like a lodge buried within the wilderness ...which it was. If you do some exploring you'll find that along the side of the property right across from the building there's this embankment where you can walk down and sit in chairs along the Virgin River... they're also BBQ grills down there. A very peaceful area without even having to go in the park. THE SUITE: the suite I booked was marvelous, you walk in and it's like your own little apartment or in my case it wasn't little it was very spacious. There was plenty of windows, a couch, large wooden coffee table, a full kitchen, a separate bedroom. Double doors that lead to a patio where you can just sit and look at the stars. The bathroom was a good size and in great almost new like repair. The bathroom had a built-in bidet in the toilet. You can tell when a property cares about little details... the room definitely fit the mold for not only a Lodge setting but also luxury because they had luxury towels that you could feel the weight and quality of amongst other little minor details like the shower fixtures & the sink fixtures all of higher quality. POOL: in addition to the Virgin River this hotel has a nice pool area. All along the pool area's fence line they have flowers. But what's most attractive about the pool area is that while you're relaxing in the water, you can look all around you and see the beautiful mountains and rock formations truly a scenic paradise. The pool and hot tub are both open until 10 p.m. the pool lights up blue at night. At night you can see the stars and don't hear a peep... I haven't been to a property quite like this but it truly captured the concept of a getaway in the wilderness. I can't recommend this property enough and I can't wait to go back myself

Absolutely adore this lodge. The room was very clean, smelled great and had a beautiful view of the gorgeous cliffs. You are as close as you can stay to the entrance of Zion in Springdale. The pool and hot tub was clutch as it was very hot one day and another rainy/cloudy day which worked out wonderful for my aching muscles. The spa in the lodge was the highlight of my trip. By staying at this lodge, you get a discount to the spa and a couple restaurants and stores nearby, which is very helpful considering the prices near Zion. Zion is gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but there is only so much to do in the park, and having this lodge to hang out the other half of the day was a blessing. After a 7 mile hike we needed a place to chill and I highly recommend this place for the hikers and the viewers out there who want the best when they visit Zion.

At 500 sq. ft, it feels spacious and serene, with a sitting area over looking the river below, blackout drapes, soaking tub, seperate walk-in shower, pillow-top mattress, workplace, and a 55" TV that my man really appreciates. But the best part is the large private balcony with seating and a direct view of The Watchman, one of Zion's most iconic peaks. Sunrises and sunsets from here are epic. Your stay includes, wifi, parking, year-round access to the outdoor pools and hot tubs, fire pits, fitness center, bathrobes and slippers, ac/heat, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and fresh coffee each morning near the lobby. On-site you'll also find a restaurant by the name of Anthera, and a spa, both of which I recommend. With 53 rooms, the property doesn't feel like just another standard hotel. What truly sets it apart though, is what lies just behind it, the lush riverside gardens. Ending your day sitting by the river, listening to the water move past as your thoughts quiet and your whole body softens. In the morning expect to see a lot of deer grazing in the grass areas. It's genuinely spellbinding. If the restaurant on property doesn't interest you there are other walkable options nearby and this property does not allow pets. Denise Wood, the General Manager has assembled a staff that rivals any high priced resort. The staff went out of its way to ensure our comfort, especially at the front desk who helped with our early check-in. Our room was modern, spacious, quiet and clean. First impressions…read morewere great - we were checked in at the front desk by the charismatic "Mr. Rock n Roll" who got us all squared away and asked if we needed any recommendations for anything in the area, provided us a map dotted with local eateries and general directions to and around the Park. Our room was on the ground floor with two queen beds, a beautiful view across the parking lot of the red rocks and easy access to and from the parking lot (which was much appreciated since it was super cold and started to flurry overnight and into the next day). The room itself was spacious and clean, the fridge worked really well (almost TOO well - it froze our drinks!), everything was well stocked. We utilized the jacuzzi one evening despite it being in the 30s, which was clean and relaxing after a long day of travel and hiking around. The only drawback we experienced during our stay was regarding the breakfast situations during the two mornings we were there. Apparently there was an emergency floor repair in the kitchen which meant they were unable to access it to prepare the continental spread that Hampton Inn is so well-known for. Instead, each morning there were stacks of brown takeaway boxes pre-filled with different food selections, which were displayed at the front of the dining room, but the boxes were not clearly marked so people were having to open them to examine the contents of each box. The staff members were absolutely not to blame - they were running around the dining room constantly, checking on guests and seeing what they could bring out from the back to ensure everyone had what they wanted and needed. For kids, they were running back and finding cold cereal, juices, etc. If there was a vegetarian, they were finding options (i.e. frozen potato and egg breakfast burritos) for them, too. They had brought in extra microwaves to accommodate everyone having to warm their own food. I heard a few guests grumbling but the staff remained warm and friendly. One staff member in particular, Annette, deserves special recognition. She was answering everyone's questions, letting them know the repair was unfortunately expected to take 3 weeks, and that they were only 2 days into their new "routine" so they only expected it to get better and run smoother as they got into their rhythm. When our 6-year-old decided she didn't like anything on offer one of the mornings and was getting antsy, Annette walked her over to the front desk and let her pick out a coloring book to keep her occupied while mom and dad finished their breakfasts. Thank you, Annette, for helping us keep our sanity! Overall, you just can't beat the value for the price, the proximity to the Park and everything else there is to see in Springdale and Zion. We had a wonderful stay here and would absolutely stay again.

However, the Desert Pearl is well-deserving of a positive review. I first discovered this place 26 years ago, and I estimate that I have stayed here 20 times over the years. Over 26 years, never once have I been disappointed. I have recommended this place countless times to my family and friends. For starters, the rooms have a rustic modern style with expansive balconies or patios that include Adirondack chairs for relaxing while taking in the views of the red mountains, which are right in front of you. When awaking in the morning, simply roll up the shades, and you can enjoy the sunrise on the mountains while in bed or while having a cup of coffee on the loveseat in the seating area. The kitchenette is a nice addition, especially on hiking days. You can make yourself a simple breakfast prior to your morning hike(s). On lazier days, the addition of the restaurant was a major upgrade within the past few years. One request for management: The coffeemakers could use an upgrade to full-sized models with additional coffee mugs also stocked. However, I will note the availability of a small drawer-type dishwasher that is also included in the kitchenette. Location: The DPI is conveniently located in Springdale with a shuttle stop right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurant, shopping, and art/photo galleries located easily within walking distance. The entrance to Zion National Park is just a short shuttle ride (1mile) to the visitor's center or short car ride to the entrance to the park. I appreciate management's ability to maintain the beauty of the rooms and grounds over the years. The pool and spa are always in great shape. Electric vehicle parking spots have also been added. One future upgrade request: I like the bathroom design with separate sink/closet area and separate shower/toilet area. The pocket sliding doors are also a nice space-saving feature. However, I would like to see a shower makeover to a larger, more modern walk-in design rather than a tub and shower curtain (I do appreciate the curved curtain rod to gain space.) design. Overall, I rate this 5-stars. The Desert Pearl is truly one of my favorite hotels of all time. I look forward to my next visit!
