This hotel really makes you feel at home. The property is beautiful, and the views are spectacular. The owners do an excellent job making you feel welcome. The room was big and the beds are super comfortable. There was a back door the led out to the backyard where you can sip your coffee and enjoy your surroundings. Definitely will stay here again.

I recommend this lodge over any place to stay in the Greater Zion area. Its the best of Zion's nature without the touristy crowds. The views include Zion National Park, the Vermillion Cliffs, and El Capitan. It's perfect for international travel and weekend getaways. It's comfortable, clean, and the owners are amazing. They know everything about the town and will show you all the good places. They have a fascinating story and exclusive connections to show you incredible places like Warren Jeff's private vineyard, horseback riding, ATVs, and all the great hiking spots. If you want the trip of a lifetime without breaking the bank, come here! It's luxury and it will only cost you $90-$150/night. The town is a unique place with a fascinating history, and the lodge owners are the exact people you want to learn about it from. You'll never find anything like it in the world! It's a once-in-a-lifetime trip and I highly recommend it for everyone with a desire to come to Zion.

I had the best shower of the month at Zion Cliff Lodge! The facilities were excellent and clean. This lodge feels like luxury and has nice hidden perks. It is located with easy distance to lots of interesting landscapes!

We're from LA, and we forgot what quiet sounds like, until we came here. It's incredibly peaceful. If you need any recs on where to go for food in the area, we highly recommend Edge of the World Brewery, Berry Knoll pizza, Essential Coffee and Bee's marketplace. The hotel looked more like a ski resort with cozy cabins and the views it had to offer from each room were just breathtaking, specially with the sound of the Virgin river running along the entire property added to the magic of this place. The rooms were very clean with every amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. However, the Desert Pearl is well-deserving of a positive review. I first discovered this place 26 years ago, and I estimate that I have stayed here 20 times over the years. Over 26 years, never once have I been disappointed. I have recommended this place countless times to my family and friends. For starters, the rooms have a rustic modern style with expansive balconies or patios that include Adirondack chairs for relaxing while taking in the views of the red mountains, which are right in front of you. When awaking in the morning, simply roll up the shades, and you can enjoy the sunrise on the mountains while in bed or while having a cup of coffee on the loveseat in the seating area. The kitchenette is a nice addition, especially on hiking days. You can make yourself a simple breakfast prior to your morning hike(s). On lazier days, the addition of the restaurant was a major upgrade within the past few years. One request for management: The coffeemakers could use an upgrade to full-sized models with additional coffee mugs also stocked. However, I will note the availability of a small drawer-type dishwasher that is also included in the kitchenette. Location: The DPI is conveniently located in Springdale with a shuttle stop right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurant, shopping, and art/photo galleries located easily within walking distance. The entrance to Zion National Park is just a short shuttle ride (1mile) to the visitor's center or short car ride to the entrance to the park. I appreciate management's ability to maintain the beauty of the rooms and grounds over the years. The pool and spa are always in great shape. Electric vehicle parking spots have also been added. One future upgrade request: I like the bathroom design with separate sink/closet area and separate shower/toilet area. The pocket sliding doors are also a nice space-saving feature. However, I would like to see a shower makeover to a larger, more modern walk-in design rather than a tub and shower curtain (I do appreciate the curved curtain rod to gain space.) design. Overall, I rate this 5-stars. The Desert Pearl is truly one of my favorite hotels of all time. I look forward to my next visit!

It's an easy drive but yes a tiny bit bumpy. That only adds to the actual location. We actually really liked its remote nature. It's not in the hustle and bustle of town. Everyone at check in was so so kind. We loved our stay. We stayed in stargazer two and the mesh stargazing area is incredible. We laid out on it at night and could not get over what a cool experience that alone was. Decor is top notch. The privacy of each unit was actually incredibly comfortable. The ac is fantastic. Getting to stargazer 2 was easy but possibly challenging for those with mobility challenges in regards to stairs. The jacuzzi and fire pit were so fun. Oh and the smores kit was such a nice touch as well as the welcome basket. We travel a lot and this place has it dialed in. Truly. Cold waters in the fridge upon arrival - ahhhh. So what would I add - a wellness spa for massages, on site morning yoga, sound bathing, etc.... I might add a very modern pool or one that incorporates nature. Lastly I'd recommend a type of gnat spray provided to guests. At dawn and sunset they are incredibly active. Overall this place is nothing short of incredible and its founders should be very proud of what they have created. The effort in creating Open Sky is very much noticed. Sharing nature in this way is a huge gift and this place is truly something special!

I was also hoping to "rent" a pet from the Animal Sanctuary for the duration of our visit, but alas, checked in too late for that. I'd advise anyone who wants to "rent" a pet to call in advance to understand the process and time cut-off. I loved the room. It was super cute and well-appointed for guests with pets. There were two bowls waiting near the front door, and two adorable sleeping areas - one in a cut-out in the wall, and another a pull-out trundle-style bed. The mercantile/ store was stocked with cute apparel for pet-lovers as well as items for pets. Breakfast was also served in the store in the morning - with lots of interesting and yummy options - like vegan egg bites and chia seed pudding. 10/10 recommend this place!!

The Best Place For Travelers With Or Without Pets…read more.... For our final 5 nights across the Southwest US, we stayed at the Best Friends Roadhouse. The BF Animal Sanctuary was on our schedule (at least 2 of the 4 days) and both reviews and their website looked great. Pros: - Location: Convenient, especially is you're visiting the Sanctuary. On the main road in the north part of Kanab. - Exterior: A newish looking hotel with nice views to the north and west. - Room: Excellent. Our king suite was spacious. One VERY large room included a big bedroom, a good sized kitchen and a spacious bathroom/shower/vanity. It also had plenty of space for storage and large closets. All done with contemporary Scandinavian furniture which minimizes clutter and convenient controls for lighting, ventilation and automatic shades. - Employees: Helpful. People at the reception desk and in the breakfast area/"Mercantile Shop" were all very friendly. - Breakfast: Vegan and very good. Included with the room. While it wasn't a buffet, you could order as much as you'd like. Much of it was homemade and I especially liked the "Overnight Oats". Unusual Pros: - Cats and dogs are encouraged to stay with accommodations in the room and across the property - "Barn Door" to create privacy between the bedroom and bathroom - Free laundry - Free iPad to use while in the room - Nicely equipped kitchen - Plentiful towels - Choice of full daily housekeeping, partial or none - Attractive high desert landscaping - If you'd like merchandise from Best Friends, the Mercantile Shop had everything Cons: - Bath towels for our first day were luxurious. The next 4 days were like a Holiday Inn. - Toilet paper was 1...maybe 2 ply and quite scratchy - Tissues were a bit rough - Parking was tight, especially on weekends and after 7 PM There are many places to stay in Kanab since it's a busy stop for Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, but the Roadhouse would be our only choice.

There's also a charming little café near the check-in area that added to the overall experience. The views of Utah at sunset were absolutely breathtaking, and the stargazing at night was incredible.
