The location is extremely ideal. Walking distance to the NP and all creature comforts nearby. The staff was friendly, the grounds clean, well kept and the beds were cozy and comfy. The only down side we found was the AC didn't go lower than 67 degrees - we like it cooler than that at night - but the large ceiling fan helped. P.s. - I do miss the Giant Screen theater that used to be here though. read more

Great rooms with views of Zion. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking equipment and a coffee maker with Wolfgang Puck coffee. The bed is very comfy with plenty of pillows. We had the Judy Ann Suite and the jacuzzi tub was large and relaxing with one side of the two sided fireplace facing the tub. The staff is friendly and will give you a list of local restaurants open and their hours. Been here several time. A bit more expensive than other places but if you want to cook some meals in a larger suite - this is the place. read more

Really happy with this place! It was cozy and the location is perfect for entry into Zion but also town. The service was great. I felt bad for the older guy who had to carry our dirty towels and linens up and down the stairs, but he always kept a smile on his face. We stayed at the Cable Mountain Lodge this past weekend to celebrate New Year's and hike in Zion. The lodge is conveniently located only a few minutes away from the entrance to Zion National Park and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops in Springdale. We booked a Classic Suite for the weekend which included a large kitchen and living room, bathroom with tub/shower, and a separate master bedroom. The room was clean and well-maintained. Parking was free and our room was located only a moment's walk away. The front desk staff was friendly and hospitable. They have a pool and hot tub, but we didn't take advantage of them during our stay. We recommend the Cable Mountain Lodge and would stay here again! read more

The rooms were clean and spacious. My complaint was the location of our room. I wasn't given the courtesy being told that we were given a handicap room. But the kicker was our view was a wall. This motel is located at the entrance of Zion National park and we viewed a wall. If you give someone a handicap room, I don't think they will be hiking but enjoying the view of the surroundings...like a wall. This was so disappointing. I paid $720 total for this room for two nights to view a wall. When I went to the desk to ask about a different room, they immediately said they were booked. When I said I couldn't get internet they said it was spotty. We were very disappointed. Also interesting was the handicapped room was a far from parking as possible...not a problem for us but possible for someone else. read more

So, our daughter looking for a place to stay near Zion for all of us (10 in our group), found Cable Mountain Lodge. We're all so glad she did! It's within walking distance to the entry to Zion National Park. The incredible Zion mountains act as a surreal backdrop to this majestic atmosphere. Our room (we got the luxury suite) was very spacious, clean and quite comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is a coffee shop steps away along with a pub/cafe and market as well as gift shops (they all give discounts if you're staying at the lodge). Also in close proximity are numerous walking trails and river winding. I highly recommend this unforgettable experience. We'll be back! read more

David the manager was also great. We had a mishap with reservations.com and he helped us navigate through that! Matthew helped us pick a beautiful room. It was well worth spending the extra money on the room with the view. Our friends were camping at Watchman campground. It was a 11 minute walk to their site. We will definitely be back because of the professionalism of this place, clean rooms and the restaurant had tasty beers, hamburgers and onion rings! 100% recommend Cable Mountain Lodge! Location is perfect, right next to the entry to the park, a market for all groceries/supplies AND a brew pub! Very friendly staff, beautiful premises. Our room was lovely, complete with a full sized coffee pot, mini frige and a ceiling fan! The pool and hot tub were clean and tended too often. We also got spa treatments- a facial and a massage- both were amazing, the spa premises are very nice and comprehensive with steam room, hot tub, robes and relaxation area. The views are unbeatable and the stay was just perfect. Can't wait to return! read more

Pros- Great location. Rooms are spacious with nice amenities including a full size refrigerator. Gorgeous pool. Friendly staff. Cons- we didn't get to sleep the first night. The room above had a herd of goats or something. Was stomping late at night till after 11 and started up at 5 am. I'd definitely stay on the top floor. The last night there we found a face mask in our sheets. Absolutely disgusting. Now this may have been mixed in the laundry and accidentally made it to our bed? Not sure. When I mentioned it to the manager he just said oh. Didn't try to compensate anything at all. And I get that hotels are still not offering room service, but they need to set up a better service for their guests staying more than one night. I had to ask for toilet paper, towels and wash cloths. They didn't have much staff to run it up to our room so I picked it up. It's just annoying. Obviously a family of 5 staying 3 nights will need more that 4 washcloths and towels. read more

This place was the reason we had such a perfect stay at zion. The beauty surrounding it is unreal. With the virgin river outside, the mountains and the perfect skies, it is the epitome of a postcard. We could not have found a more perfectly located place to stay. They even bake some of the best chocolate chip cookies for guests! We are beyond happy with our stay and a special shout out to katie (or kate) please let me know if I got that wrong but she seriously helped us out when we needed some human goodness! Loved this hotel! I stayed in a Queen Hillside Suite with my sister for 3 days, and it was a wonderful place to come back to after a long day outdoors. As others have pointed out, the hotel is *right* outside of Zion. It's super easy to walk or drive in. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. Our room was very spacious, with an area by the door to keep our shoes, a carpeted area with beds, dresser/TV, couch, and coffee table, and a fully stocked kitchenette with full-size fridge, a small stove, microwave, dishwasher, and cabinets with dishes. The beds were comfy, and the bathroom had updated fixtures and room to move around in. The only possible drawbacks were too-thick pillows (I'm a side/stomach sleeper, and prefer flatter pillows - this has been an issue for me with other hotels as well) and some noise from other rooms (someone upstairs from us liked to walk around very heavily in the mornings, and we got some weird noises from what I think was the A/C in a neighboring room). The hotel also has a lovely sitting area down by the river. We didn't spend much time there, since we were mostly in Zion when not in our room, but it was a wonderful place to relax, sit, and read in nature. We also saw deer out on the lawn! Overall, Cable Mountain Lodge was a wonderful place to stay! read more

There is no reason not to stay here. The location is right outside the pedestrian access to Zion and with the narrows rental, pub, market, and Perks coffee onsite, you have it all. Bonus: showing your hotel key gets you various discounts to those businesses on the property. Location, location, location! This is name of the game when visiting any National Park, and truly you couldn't do much better. The Lodge rests right at the feet of the spectacular, soaring red rocks of Zion, and it is just a treat to be here. The park itself is worthy of its own review. In a word: holy fuck! (Ok two words). Just do it. It's a bucket list monster. We arrived at sunset and were immediately awestruck by the view. As the sun dipped down, we approached the inn and were delighted by trees bedecked in some of the prettier Christmas lights I've seen! The check-in was speedy and the reception friendly. The grounds are sprawled out in long low single story buildings -- and if you happen to be directionally challenged, (hey--not saying I am, but not saying I'm not) it can be a bit hard to find your room, lol. But for norms, this may be a non-issue. The room itself was simple, but good. A huge comfy bed. A big, clean bathroom. Good heating system. All the amenities you need. I wasn't in love with the decor, but it was pretty innocuous. And we weren't there for the hotel, but for the hiking, so all was well. I have a FOMO over forgetting our swimsuits because they have an outdoor hot tub, which is probably a highlight of this place. But I was quite content with this as our base of operations for adventures in Zion. My only complaint, and yes I found it impossible to give 5-stars for this--is the pungent smell of cleaning products in the room. Ok. Its true, I'm an olfactory Nazi. And it's also true that I want my room to be clean. And it's also true that organic products don't kill germs like ammonia etc. But honestly, if they sprang for a nose-friendly upgrade I'd say this place was the perfect launchpad to one of our most beautiful national parks. Takeaway: Yes! Pro tip: pack a swimsuit. read more

One of the most beautiful lodges I've ever been to! It's steps away from Zion, which is super convenient. I think it was only a 10 minute walk to the visitor center, and a short bus ride from there to the different hikes at Zion National Park. The rooms have a full kitchen, and we were able to cook breakfast while we were there. It's so funny - there were about 5 deer just roaming the property. And they aren't afraid of humans!! I guess it's because guests often feed the deer with fruit from the fruit trees on the hotel property. The apples are very sour though, so I wouldn't recommend eating them yourself! I thought it was funny to have deer roaming around so it didn't bother me, but if that makes you uncomfortable, you should probably stay elsewhere. My family got a one bedroom suite, and my sister and I slept on the pull out couch. They also have a Murphy bed which is helpful and more comfy than your typical cot. The lodge is beautiful. They have 2 beautiful pools, a cafe, and unbelievable views. We had only booked one night, but once we saw the place we tried to stay for a few extra nights but they didn't have any vacancies (it was during the busy season). I really wish we stayed longer, it was that incredible. I will most definitely be back! read more

We spent three nights here for Christmas, and we could not have asked for better. Everything was simply amazing... 1) The location. You are literally steps from the park. leave your room, cross the bridge over the river, and you are at the visitor center--a five-minute walk, if that. 2) The views. Unbelievably good. I stood on our balcony rubbing my eyes because I was SURE I must be dreaming! WOW. 3) The service. The desk clerk was super friendly and took plenty of time to tell us all about the property, our room, and the nearby dining options. 4) The room. Because we spent Christmas there, we splurged and got the Judy Ann suite. We had a separate bedroom with a wonderfully comfortable king-sized bed, a huge jacuzzi tub, a walk-in shower, and a fireplace! The toilet seat was HEATED. The kitchen was well-stocked with all of the tools and utensils we would need. There was a TV in the living room and the bedroom (important when traveling with kids). There was a corner balcony large enough to hold a table and chairs to take in the AMAZING views! (Have I mentioned the views?) For the price we paid, this room was extraordinarily luxurious, and we LOVED it. We would like someday to come back in the summertime and take advantage of the pool and the wonderful riverside beach and grilling areas they have set up. Seriously. Stay here. I cannot exclaim how FANTASTIC this hotel is! We were debating on staying at Zion Lodge and I'm so glad we didn't. This is right next to the Zion entrance, you can literally throw a stone and you're at the entrance gate. You can hop on the Zion shuttle and boom, in the park. Great location, park your car and forget it till you go home! Zion entrance is across the bridge, minutes from your room. Save time and get to your trailhead and shuttle much faster, it's worth it to beat the crowds! Rooms are spacious with kitchens, large bathrooms and comfy king beds. Pool and hot tub is great, but small for size of hotel and get crowded at popular times. Many local restaurants within walking distance and the Brew pub is great after a long day of hiking. Observation deck on second floor in building behind the pool is the secret gem of this hotel. Order pizza, buy some beer at Happy Camper market and grab a seat up there as you watch the sun go down against the famous mountains of Zion and see the stars come out. It's amazing. Well worth staying here for the price. They need to resume housekeeping as all Covid restrictions seem to be lifted so they can't use that as a reason now to continue to not give clean towels, get trash and make beds., read more

There is zero light pollution in Zion, so it was literally the most fantastic view of the Milky Way I'd ever seen in my life. Cable Mountain Lodge is a little difficult to find because I came at night and missed the sign next to the Theatre and Market. Anyways you need to drive in and it's just around the corner next to the cinema. This is probably as close as you'll get to the entrance of Zion National Park. The fee to get into the Park is $20 and there are lodges inside the park but this place is amazing. I don't even know where to start, the front desk people are very polite and work efficient. The community here is very friendly, if I want to goto the market it's a 1 minute walk from my room. There's a lot of stores and restaurants closeby so we don't really need to drive. But it's cold outside so I prefer driving :P I stayed at the King's Suite for 2 nights and then upgraded to the Judy Suite. I'm staying in to work on papers and my final is next week so I really shouldn't have come out this weekend haha Anyways the rooms are so clean and this coming from a clean ocd freak means a LOT. They have a new box of tissue after every day or something. I wonder what they do with the used boxes of tissues.. The toilet seat looks clean enough to actually sit on! The floor is clean enough that I don't feel the need to wear shoes, the bed is nice and cozy, the rooms are quite spacious. I could really just live here ;) The view all throughout the day is beautiful, it's like a breath of fresh air. The mountains stand gorgeously outside my window that I could just stare at it for very long periods of time. The wifi here works quite quickly except sometimes at night the internet runs a bit slow. They use bath and bodyworks soap and shampoo "rainwater". I really can't think of anything to complain about. The room runs by a heater that controls room temperature so it turns on if the room runs a little cold throughout the day/night. Hot water comes on quickly, my room is conveniently close to the car park so it's a couple seconds if I need to make a run to the car to get something. Gas prices around the area is about $3.21 per gallon. You hear people walking up the stairs but honestly, it's only for 10 seconds and then it's silence. No problem at all. There's a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker in every room i believe. But in the Judy suite you will get a sink, stove, pots and pans and dishwasher as well! I wish I could stay here longer and go hiking but I really need to study :( read more

Location could not be more perfect! This lodge is located just outside the front entrance to the park. Its a very short walk over the pedestrian bridge to get to the visitor center and shuttle stop. . Within the lodge community there is a brewpub/restaurant, coffee shop, market, souvenir store, and pool/ hot tub. You are surrounded by the beautiful mountains and can enjoy a lovely view while cooling off and relaxing in the pool at the end of day. . The rooms are clean and have both mini fridges and microwaves. Beds/pillows are really comfy. I had an excellent 2-night stay here last week & definitely recommend this motel to anyone looking to stay in Springdale. read more

It's pretty sad when the staff sides with a guest who leaves their chairs and personal belongings out all night, night after night, at the only spot with the best amenities where you have a BBQ, picnic bench, fire pit and river access, so they can walk out of the hotel room and claim that as their spot for multiple days/nights in a row and no other guest can use it without being confronted and threatened with watching what happens if we move their stuff out of the way again type violence. It's pretty sad someone would try to block other guests from using the amenities they paid for while they are not using it but it's even worse for the staff to make the comment about even though they left their stuff here all night their stuff was here first! read more

We stayed at Cable Mountain Lodge for two nights while we were visiting Zion National Park. The rooms are very nice and make a luxurious home while you are visiting the area. Our room had a small kitchen, dining table, sofa-sleeper a large bathroom and a King bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the mattress on the sofa sleeper had to be the most comfortable sofa sleeper I have seen. One of the real benefits of Cable Mountain Lodge is its location. You can literally walk across a footbridge into the National Park Visitor Center area and catch the shuttle up to the canyon. Also, close by is a market, brewery, and an outfitter if you have any gear needs for your time in the park. We reserved early and I am sure they fill up fast during the busy season. When making our reservations I requested an adjoining room (and we were traveling with friends) and also requested a view of The Watchman. The clerk was cheery and said that this would not be a part and that I all set. We arrived at the Lodge at 5:00 PM. Both rooms were not available even though check-in was at 3:00 PM. I asked the front desk clerk about this discrepancy and he said there was an event in town and that some of the guests requested to stay longer than anticipated. Needless to say, I was not happy and asked why they would give away our rooms when we had confirmed reservations. His response was, "We don't kick people out just because it's time to go." I being quite upset with his response and asked to speak to the manager. He stated that he was not in and that we would have him contact the next day. Our friends were able to check into their room at 5:15 but did not have a view of the Watchman. We checked in at 6:00 and had a view of a concrete wall! The rooms were very clean and the amenities were updated and convenient. The cleaning and maintenance staff went out of their way to make sure everything was great for us; however, we did not hear anything from the Management Team. The spot was perfect for days we spent here and I would stay again. What I would do is call between deplaning and checking in to see the status of my room. read more

If Zion is on your bucket list and your looking for a fantastic experience, this is the place to be. The lodge is located at the base of Zion. The visitor center and entrance is just steps away from the parking lot. Despite the fact that it's so close to the park, the establishment does a fantastic job of keeping it safe, secure and private....free from the crowds. Brew pub, gift shop, coffee bar all located on property with easy public or private transportation to the little town and shops. As with all resorts, the market can be a little pricey so be sure to take advantage of your key card discount. The rooms are beautifully furnished and well stocked with kitchen utensils. I don't think we have ever stayed in a hotel two times and it was the same each time. You can not go wrong here...the virgin river outside your room. The entrance to Zion within walking distance or the shuttle option. A brewery, a market and the town all right outside. However you don't feel like you are that close with this hotel, it's just cozy. Rooms are huge and clean! This hotel does not look like it's aged a day The cleaning staff asks you how your day is going and the pool area is spotless. We will be back again! The location is *excellent*. But also, having stayed in more than one of the lodging options that are similarly situated close to a national park (eg, Grand Canyon, Bryce), Cable Mountain Lodge offered a really nice space for any location. We stayed in a 2-br Canyon Loft Residence, and it was a wonderfully spacious room with an upstairs and downstairs bedroom, kitchen, living room area, and a lovely deck with table and chairs for dinner after a long day at the park. The room was a nice one for any location, but especially so for being so close to the park. The park entrance is just a couple hundred yards walk from the hotel, great for going in on foot to get shuttle buses. They're also close to anything you might need in town for dinner or otherwise. On the property is a little convenience store and a great coffee shop with a barista who was efficient and cheery even at 6am :-) I have the added "benefit" of having left something at the hotel and then learning just how attentive and thoughtful the service could be here. George at the front desk, over several days, helped me track down my item, involving both the manager and hotel cleaning staff, and has worked to get my lost item back to me via the mail--well after my stay ended. I've lost items at other hotels in the past and have rarely encountered someone this responsive and effective in getting a problem resolved. I would absolutely stay here again--I would look forward to it! read more
