We finally gave in and tried the famous Bumbleberry Pie on our last day in Utah--and we're glad we did! We ordered a slice of pie and two scoops of Bumbleberry ice cream. The roughly $20 price tag seemed a little steep at first, but everything was delicious. The fruit filling was flavorful, the crust was flaky and perfectly baked, and the creamy Bumbleberry ice cream made a great pairing. Bumbleberry Bakery was SO good!!! The service was honestly the BEST. Kristal helped us out, and she was seriously so sweet and welcoming! At other ice cream shops, we honestly never feel that comfortable asking for samples because sometimes the employees don't seem happy to give them out, or the sample is such a tiny bite that you can barely even taste the flavor But Kristal made us feel completely comfortable trying different ones. She actually told us, "If you're going to buy something, you might as well like it!" which was so sweet and made us feel so comfortable asking to try different flavors. We ended up getting a medium with two flavors, and the ice cream was really good too! Gabree was also there and she was super kind. Was craving a sweet treat after hiking in Zion and saw that this place is super close! I was intrigued by the "bumbleberry", but ended up getting the early morning shuttle (or some variant of that name) -- which was coffee and a whole mix of other yummy things. The flavors altogether were delicious. I appreciated how creative they are with the flavor names. The waffle cone wasn't my favorite of waffle cones, but does the job in holding the ice cream without dripping. Service was pretty quick! They limit # of customers in front of the ice cream scooping area, so it doesn't get too crowded. If you're there to get non-ice cream things they can take your order before you get to the ice cream area. After spending time hiking around Zion, I stopped by Bumbleberry Bakery in Springdale! I wanted something cold and sweet. Ice cream sounded perfect! After being out on the Zion trails for the morning and early afternoon, that first bite of the ice cream was amazing! The brownie bite pieces made it feel a little more like a dessert, and the caramel added just the right amount of sweetness! I also tried a bite of the banana ice cream, and that one was good too. Banana can sometimes be too strong for me, depending on the ice cream flavor, but this one was enjoyable and easy to eat. The bakery/gift shop itself is also fun to walk around. It has that classic Springdale tourist stop feel, with souvenirs, sweets, shirts, and little Zion themed items to browse before or after heading into the park. Perfect spot after a long day hiking in Zion!! They are located not too far from the park entrance (not walkable though). The workers were extremely friendly and the line moved really quickly. Plus, service is really friendly, parking is super easy, and prices are very reasonable! We tried the Bumbleberry Pie, Bumbleberry Turnover, Bumbleberry Pie Hole, and Bumbleberry Crunch ice cream. Everything was pretty good, besides the pie hole, which I thought had too high of a crust:filling ratio. You can order the pie either as a whole pie or a slice. It looked like it's a mix of blueberries and blackberries, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Super good. The ice cream was also delicious. They give color-changing spoons, which my kids loved. And the turnover was good even eating it the next morning. They also sell other goodies like fudge, popcorn (many flavors), and whole coffee beans. And the places to sit are so cute! We went to the Bumbleberry Store and Bakery near Zion after seeing they had bumbleberry ice cream and pie and we had to try it. There was a bit of a wait which felt like a good sign that this was the place to be. I got the bumbleberry cobbler ice cream and my wife got the chocolate bumbleberry which the workers recommended. Both were really good but the cobbler ice cream was on another level. The chunks of pie crust in it were amazing and I was honestly shocked at how phenomenal it was. Creamy, sweet, and so good that I wish I could have taken a pint home. The chocolate bumbleberry ice cream was also delicious with chocolate chunks and bumbleberry inside that made it creamy and rich. Their bumbleberry macaroons were incredible too. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and the bumbleberry flavor tasted like a sweeter blueberry with just the right balance. Such a perfect match for both macaroons and ice cream. We also grabbed their cotton candy with coconut and pineapple flavors which was fun, fruity, and made me feel like a kid again. They have a big variety of desserts I want to try next time we visit.
