Stopped by Brown Box after a long day of hiking and it was definitely a great call. The place is cozy w/couches, tables, and a gas fireplace. Friendly staff that made us feel welcome. I had the special, a turkey,cran, apple grilled cheese w broccoli cheddar soup, definitely made from scratch. My husband had the caprese and my boys the classic grilled cheese. The grilled cheese seriously comes in my kid's dream!! And the teenager and mom loved it too! Spot on ratio of cheese to bread, crunch phenomenal, and master touch was the rosemary on the outside of the sandwich. :). The cookie icecream skillet thingy was great too.. but a bigger fan of their icecream and cookie as separate entities, so can enjoy the crunch and the cool! This is such a cute shop in a tiny little town. There's lots of really nice seating and cute knick-knacks and art for sale. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and didn't rush anyone. The ice cream is delicious and they offer samples. I was disappointed that they don't really have drink options, just basic tea and coffee, but it's a great spot to rest and rejuvenate. The location is perfect to walk or drive to and there is parking close by if needed. There is inside and outside seating and don't miss the mural on the side of the restaurant for all your ice cream selfies. The service is incredible and again it is family owned and operated and they make sure each customer is taken care of. They also make sure to give back to the community which is amazing. Don't worry they don't just have ice cream - they have GRILLED CHEESE! They have multiple options for grilled cheese and a delicious tomato soup even the most picky eater loved. And make sure to check out the specials board each month for fun grilled cheese flavors like the pizza flavor! Cute and super warm Bakeshop. Arrived to my Airbnb in Kanab tonight & I was walking through the entire city, turns out it was Brown Box's GRAND OPENING. I had to come in & I was greeted with JARS of Free cookies ! That's already off to a great start! As it was late at night most of the free cookies were already taken but luckily I was able to get the one I wanted which was Peanut Butter Cup & Classic Sugar Cookie. I wanted to taste their Ice cream so I got multiple samples of them I ended up going with my personal favorite Peanut Butter Cup & it was amazing. I was told everything is homemade & I can definitely taste the love in their craft. This place is sensational. Stopped in to pick up lunch for drive back to Las Vegas after a weekend break in Kanab. Ordered two different variations of their grilled cheese sandwiches and both were scrumptious beyond belief. Quite possibly the best grilled cheese sandwiches we've ever had. Their homemade ice-cream is ridiculously good. And the cookies are amazing. Everything was delivered with care and attention but not undue speed, showing how carefully crafted everything is. We are fortunate to travel A LOT and have been all over the world, and I can safely say this is one of the best lunches we`ve ever had. The interior is cosy and welcoming. This cute bakeshop is a great addition to Kanab. I only got to try the ice cream and cinnamon roll, but I was impressed. The cinnamon roll was flavorful, fluffy, and had a delicious buttery frosting. I recommend microwaving it prior to eating. I got a pink of the dirty oreo and WOW this is the best version of "cookies and cream" I have ever tasted. The ice cream base has oreo flavoring but there's also chunks of oreos too. It wasn't too sweet and it tasted exactly like oreos. I would take home a gallon of it home if I didn't live so far away. The owner was so was so unbelievably rude. We were cold(winter) and had our calm service dog with us. A cup of soup and a grilled cheese sounded so nice. She pretty much threw us out to eat in the car. My small children didn't want to sit out in the cold to eat after a busy morning riding horses. As for the food, it was greasy and just okay.
