(1.5 stars) If you're in Kanab, skip this McDonald's. There are plenty of other spots nearby with 4+ star ratings that are worth your time. We stopped here at lunchtime, passing through, just to try the returning snack wraps. The place was packed, yet no one was working the counter. Only one two-sided kiosk was open, and there was a line on both sides. It took about 15 minutes to get our food. The fries were barely hot. My husband's ranch chicken snack wrap had chewy chicken. Mine was okay--but only okay. The wrap itself was way too big for the chicken, completely throwing off the balance. And the price doesn't help: a combo meal with two wraps, fries, and a drink ran about $10 each. Just not worth it. Prices here are up, quality is down, and service is slow. Right next door, there's a great local burger joint we've enjoyed before--go there instead. Don't waste your time at this McDonald's. read more

We came here on the night of 1/11 and the lady that helped us (young, female white) was the absolute nicest McDs employee I've ever met. She was genuinely nice and helpful and just kind. Its whatnI remember and enjoyed the most about this McDs. read more

Had the food been prepared like every other McDonalds it would have been fine. Maybe better training would help? My 6 piece nugget only had 5 pieces, making sure employees can count may help. Tossing my change and food into my car in a rush. Maybe some hospitality management classes or just being a decent person would help. read more

One thing I love about McDonald's is the consistency-you know what you're going to get regardless of which arches you are paying homage to at any given time. So I appreciate the familiar friend when the craving hits. Unfortunately, the order that I placed and the food that I received was not quite what I expected and I didn't notice until I'd driven away (my mistake, but I didn't check my food prior to leaving.) However, I want to share a minor encounter here. When my wife and I pulled into the drive thru, we were asked to wait a moment before placing our order. After a minute or two of silence, I had a surprise sneeze attack. After I finished up the nonsense, I kind voice came over the loudspeaker and said "bless you." Even though they got my order a bit wrong (it happens, no biggie), I appreciate the blessings upon my allergies. I look back on that interaction with a smile... and that's even better than the right order. read more

Great service. I was looking for something in particular and the manager and employee were willing to help. I appreciate their willingness to help. Ordered chicken mcnuggets and fries and it was good. Tables were clean and we enjoyed the meal. It was peaceful and we got some things done on the internet while sitting at the tables. For being a Local for many years I have watched this location go down hill fast. The staff are rude and clearly management doesn't care since they are giving dirty looks and sideways comments. Best customer service. The guy with the ponytail gave sit down type service. It was surreal to see that especially at a McDonalds. The food seemed fresh and clean. That all said, the bathroom and counters had smudges and dust all over, it was pretty gross. read more

I wouldn't bother leaving a review for a chain "restaurant" but this was so beyond disgusting, it needs to be posted. I ordered a cheeseburger, plain with ketchup. When I got to the house, I opened it up to make sure it was right, and there was Literally 1/8 cup of salt/pepper dumped on the burger. Thank God I checked before eating. Absolutely inedible and disgusting. Service wasn't good and, of the two people we saw working, only one was wearing a mask. We came in late night on Sunday, March 28. Super nice people and hot and fresh food! I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about but the workers were super nice.

I got food poisoning right before a seven hour drive and had to spent the whole time trying not to throw up. It was a miserable experience and ordering the food was such a hassle since after we ordered it on the kiosk it took forever for them to actually give us our food. If I had the choice to eat here again or starve on the next road trip, I'm starving. read more

Good speedy services a bit short staffed when we were there not that it was crowded at all. You have to order at the machine since they're short staffed. Don't expect the 2 egg sausage Mc muffin for $6 because the machine states they are out of stock...yet you can buy one at a time for more money! WTH? Worst Mc Donald's ever. Waste of money. I ordered 4 sausage Mc muffin with egg. It was terrible. English muffin was old and hard. Service was as bad. When I got to the window to pick up my order, the guy at the window did not even say hello even after I said hello. He just pushed 2 large diet Cokes. Then, he just pushed the bag with 4 sausage Mc muffins. He did not even say good bye. He probably hates his job, but a little courtesy to respond to a greeting or a thank you. Come on Terrible place. I have no way to know why this place is still even open or that the Utah Health Department has not shut this down other then it must be making a ton of money just by the tourists that have no other choice late in the day or early in the morning... Traveling thru this area as I do for business and pleasure, my travel mates have been hungry and in need of a quick bite and this was it. Each time I have found this place to be dirty, trash everywhere inside and out and the tables disgusting. We get our grub and head back out to the vehicle ASAP and move on. Service was friendly and quick. Went through the drive-thru for a quick meal for the road. We went around 8pm and it wasn't busy at all. They accept the McDonald's app coupons so make sure to have your code ready! It really helps bring down the cost of your meal. I stopped here for lunch on my way through town. Not very busy when I arrived but a tour bus stopped shortly afterward and the lines at the order counter and the bathroom were pretty long. First off, there is a monitor that the employees use which hangs from the ceiling above the order counter. This monitor blocks the view of the menu panels behind the counter. When you have folks waiting in line, you find yourself looking around, over and almost under people just to see the menu. Poor choice on a monitor location. The tables and chairs feel like they were made from recycled beer cans. Aluminum for both and they feel lightweight. My food was lukewarm at best and I waited about 5-8 minutes for my order. The girl working the drive-thru window was more involved with her phone between orders. I did see the manager make his rounds and the reason this McDonald's is getting two stars is the staff were at least nice. I think next time through town I'll venture right next door for a burger. Also, if you're towing a rig and pull into the parking lot and want to continue south, you may find it challenging getting out of the parking lot. It's a pretty busy street which can make it tough to turn left out of their parking lot. read more

This MacDonalds is unclean majorly. Must survive by tourist only. Food is like all MacDonalds food. Arrived at 7:15 a. m., still dirty from night before. Fries and trash under fry cooker. Top was not cleaned and ice cream still had dried topping on the ice cream machine from day before. Tables were not cleaned and they were just starting breakfast. Only two working this Saturday morning. They are working fast and efficient. She said others were sick and apologized. Only complaint is dirty. I'm on a little spring break vacation and we had a late lunch on the road and didn't start to feel hungry until about 8:45. We were sad to see the little hometown diners/restaurants were closed so we were resorted to McDonald's. I normally order the southwest salad and am usually pleased with the amount of food I am getting for this price ($6.00). When finally getting back to my hotel to eat, I was very upset to see the (rather big) container wasn't even half full. Needed to stop at Wendy's to finish filling my stomach. Went there today New Year's Day. Went inside and ordered got our food. THEN the flaming dyed red haired manager came out and locked the doors saying it was too crowded inside. A couple of people got up to leave only to find they were locked in. One turned the locking knob and opened the door and left. She came back and relocked the door and screamed " This door needs to stay locked. There are too many people in here. I don't know who I locked the door and let them out but don't do it again.". She then stormed off. My family and I got up to leave with some other people and couldn't get out. I then turned the same knob and we left. If there were too many people close the inside and only use the drive thru If I am not mistaken it is a fire code violation to lock people in. I will never trade here again. We also heard her telling people to go down the street to Wendy's. That was an excellent idea. read more

This is a nice place to stop as you are traveling between Utah and Arizona. The service is fast, but the servers can be a little less than friendly at times. Also, beware of which register is open, since there isn't someone at either register all the time. You could be waiting in front of one register, but when the person comes to take the order they could be at the other register. read more

Just your average McDonalds with watered down coffee and super salty fries. Good for a quick bite. My experience was pleasant and the service was quick both at night and in the morning. The reason I'm leaving a negative review is because of the uncleanliness, looking at the ice cream machines behind counter had old gunk in every crevice. The worst ever McDonalds! I ordered one filet of fish sandwich for which I waited about 10 minutes for. When I opened up the box there was tarter sauce spattered all over the inside. I took one bite and it was disgusting. The fish was way over cooked and stringy.
