Tourist Trap - Way Overpriced for What You Get This place is the definition of a tourist trap. We stopped here for lunch, ordered just one pepperoni pizza, one Caesar salad, and drank water, and our bill came to $76. For the quality and quantity of food, it felt like a complete rip-off. The pizza was especially disappointing. It was served on what looked like a disposable paper pizza tray, and the crust tasted nothing like a traditional brick-oven pizza--it seemed undercooked and lacked the texture and flavor you'd expect for a $27 pizza. To make matters worse, everything was disposable: paper plates, plastic utensils, and a paper pizza tray. It felt incredibly wasteful and far from environmentally friendly. The final surprise was the automatic 20% gratuity added for our family of five. Mandatory tipping on top of already inflated prices only added to the feeling that this restaurant is designed to take advantage of tourists. I'm not sure who thinks $27 for a Caesar salad and $27 for a single pepperoni pizza is reasonable, but we certainly don't. This was such an amazing find! I've been on a pizza craze lately, and was really excited to try this spot out. Our group split the romaine fruit and pecan salad, margherita, and the milo milo. The salad was such a good start to the meal, and was very tasty with the dressing. The pizza came with 8 slices each, and we devoured it! We also got some ranches, which was a homestyle dill ranch. My favorite was the margherita, but honestly each of them were good in their own way. The service here is fantastic, and our server that day was so fun and friendly! The restaurant itself is small on the inside, but there's also a large outdoor patio. Our pizzas were freshly made, and took maybe 10-15 minutes. Parking is in a lot behind the restaurant with a few spaces. Great pizza spot, and would definitely come back when visiting Zion! read more

What a nice pizza restaurant that's actually open during the winter months! It was packed inside, so we sat outside next to some heaters, under a patio umbrella. Great view of the canyon walls from there. Service was okay - friendly, a little on the slower side (but they were busy, so that's fine). We tried the Milo Milo Pizza, Romaine, Fruit & Pecan Salad, and a Peach Cobbler. The salad was really overpriced ($25+ for that bowl?). It was good, and the strawberries were a nice touch. But the amount we were given doesn't justify the price. The pizza was really good. The BBQ flavor wasn't overwhelming, and it wasn't drenched in sauce - just how we like it. The poblanos on there added a nice bit of heat. I'd definitely recommend. The cobbler took awhile to come out, but it was delicious. Probably the best thing we had there. I was recommended this place by a local and I'm 100% glad I went. I got the regular pepperoni and my girlfriend got the Milo Milo. Both easily some of the best pizza we've had, who would've known it'd be here in Springdale. The service was quick, we were seated within a minute of entering the door. Noticed this place driving into the park. Stopped on the way back. Dining space was cramped and minimal. We were sat with two other couples in the same dining area. The first couple finished their meal as fast as they could and the other couple asked to move to a different table. That being said, we stayed in our small corner table. Service was pretty normal. The food tasted clean. Bianco pizza was a tad dry and needed waaaay more sauce. Not messy enough. Tomato soup was great but a bit acidic,, missing some sweetness in the recipe. Raspberry cobbler had less than a few raspberries (but enough to call it a "fruit cobbler"). Just wish it was served with ice cream instead of a scoop of butter. If I could give this place a big fat 0 I would. I'm all about a look for a good reviewed place so that I could eat there type of person. Due to the high reviews we decided to give this place a try. After hiking all day we decided to stop here. We had had nothing but great interactions with people in Utah and our whole trip was lovely but coming here was by far one of the worst customer service experiences ever. The worst experience was due to BRANDON (after calling I found out he was the general manager) which was absolutely disgusting the way he behaved with us. He was the rudest person I've encountered especially to be the first person of contact when greeting you at the front. He needs to talked to for sure! On the other hand our server whose name is Seth was an absolute gem. Polite, kind and attentive even though there was long periods of waiting which is understandable for a busy Saturday afternoon. When Brandon was rude you could see the poor young man was embarrassed. Mr Brandon I hope you get it together and take some customer service classes and don't ruin peoples experience, given we came from a different state and us never recommending this place to anyone. Also please note a pizza is $30 and tiny, more like a personal size pizza. Which I didn't really care but if I'm going to pay that much at least have employees treat you with respect. 2 part review for the onyx and the bike shop next store (same owner) We came here on a Saturday afternoon (5 of us) where we saw the modern look of the pizza shop from the street and thought we'd give it a shot. We were greeted by the e bike shop owner who informed us if we're here for pizza we'll get a deal on the bikes. We decided to take him up on that after we ate Our server was Seth who was up beat and super informative. We ordered a few diffrent types of pizza, the combo was our favorite but we also got others ( I forget the name of) but one had arugula and was sweat another one was all meat like ham and bacon and we also got the pickle pizza. Al the pizzas were good except the pickle pizza. Weird combo from the start and way too much marinara sauce for our liking. Seth consistently filled our waters and made sure we were ok. The place does not get busy for a Saturday afternoon which is surprising given how cool it looks and how good 4/5 of the pizzas are haha! The bike shop owner cut us a deal of 25$ off and 10% off the total price of 5 bikes since we ate at the pizza place ($48/person for 2 hours). Bikes were charged and the owner was super nice and informative. Def worth taking these out to drive through Zion. Thanks for everything guys! read more

We were on holiday to Zion's national Park. Our first night in Springdale, we saw the nicely decorated Onyx restaurant. They had a line of people so we figured it must be good. We got on the waiting list and they saw us within 15 minutes. That's where the rest of the night went wrong. They had no alcohol on the menu but sold lemonade for $10 apiece. The food and refreshments were all very high priced. We ordered our pizza and then waited. We repeatedly asked the waitress if there was an issue with the kitchen as an hour went by without any food. As we looked around, every table was full, and that one person had food delivered to their table. By the time everything was said and done we ended up waiting two hours. We took the pizza to go when we opened the box. The pizza was completely soggy. The crust was very thin and uneven in the middle and the pizza was absolutely disgusting. The pizza was smaller than a frozen pizza and was priced at $38.00. I recommend saving your money and not going to this tourist trap of a restaurant. Very disappointing all the way around. read more

We came around 6:10pm during a very busy Spring break week. The place was full so we decided to order pizza for takeout thinking it would be quicker. The gentleman in line in front of us quietly let us know he'd been waiting 45mins to his takeout order. Honestly, his comment made the 35-40min wait for our order bearable. Sometimes, it's about having that information in advance. The outdoor chairs were very comfortable so we waited outside. We ordered: one combo, one garlic flatbread, and a Cesar salad for two adults and one 10yr old kiddo. The pizza tasted fabulous, and the salad was pretty awesome as well. My husband commented that the dressing was slightly sweet, but I didn't mind in conjunction with the salty pizza. Both of us thought the garlic flatbread was overwhelming. It tasted heavily of granulated garlic powder. The flatbread came with a marinara sauce and a spreadable cheese, both were tasty. We ended up getting our own drinks and silverware, which shouldn't happen at a sit-down restaurant. One of the servers left and said "I'm not a slave I can't do 5 things at once". Just not professional at all. When we were ready to leave, we had to repeatedly ask to pay while watching other tables get helped first. At one point we even had to call out just to get her attention, and another staff member told us she was busy even though we had already been waiting. The food was good, but the service completely ruined the experience. We still tipped because we understand it wasn't entirely her fault, but we won't be coming back.
