I ordered a chicken Caesar salad for $14 plus. This is what I get from a young teenager. Not the most appetizing looking salad to be plunked down on the table. there is no ambiance here . The ice machine was out of ice and I had to wait for someone to come to the front to tell them. For my money I can have a more pleasant lunch somewhere els. read more

Slow slow service. It took 23 minutes from order to table today. Ordered four sandwiches and a bowl of soup. No pizzas which always take longer. Order was placed at the counter at 1:34pm. Food brought to our table at 1:57pm. Restaurant was 50% capacity. Good food - just don't go if you are in a hurry. read more

Being a baker myself I think I set my expectations too high. I was not impressed at all with the bread. The sourdough was not real sourdough. The sandwich was underwhelming even though it was recommended. I tried out two desserts, a cinnamon role and a cookie. The cookie tasted like crisco grease that was slightly flavored with some flour and sugar. The cinnamon roll didn't have a gooey center, not as much cinnamon as I wanted and the frosting tasted like canned frosting you pre-purchase for a cake. I came in hungry and didn't feel like I ate any more healthy than at a fast food place. I don't think I will go back, I was really hopeful! read more

Friendly and quick service. This was my first time at this new business. But I'll not go back. The sourdough roll my sandwich was on was good. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about. Unfortunately- the sandwich was one of those where when you take the first bite - everything blows out the other side. WAY too much mayo/mustard spread was most likely to blame. The turkey was devoid of any flavor. Overall - not good. Didn't even finish it. No need to go back if a simple sandwich is too difficult to execute. Lowkey went here for the first time and it was so fun sorayma, and Bentley were so amazing!! Sorayma was so sweet when taking my order cause I didn't know what the heck I wanted but she helped me out. then! No one I mean no one new how to use the coffee machine witch I do think management should be teaching everyone that? But what ever, anyway I told them how to use the machine (cause I'm a barista and know how that machine works) and Bentley did it!! So awesome overall these girls were amazing and are definitely the reason I'll be coming back, also the coffee turned out so good.!! read more

Ordered a chef salad. Just a few pieces of sliced ham and turkey . Very little meat mostly lettuce. A few sliced Ives and mushrooms. Was not a great salad would not recommend . Also this is a bread company and they gave me package cheap looking croutons. You'd think they'd step it up and make their own croutons . read more

The breakfast sandwich at Village Baker is hands down the best kept breakfast secret in St George. Two perfectly fried eggs, your choice of crispy bacon or deli ham, and cheese on a fluffy, toasted brioche bun for an incredible price. I'll be a regular here for sure! read more

My family tried this place for the first time during the grand opening, I thought it was pretty good then. Fast forward a few months and we went back... unfortunately it was not the same or nearly as good, plus the cost was OUTRAGEOUS! It was almost $60 to fed 3 of us! Crazy huh? A sandwich, soup, salad and dessert shop?? Totally ridiculous. I was quite disappointed in what the manager recommended and their customer service was also lacking. The girl taking our order acted like she couldn't stand being there. She didn't smile once and seemed super annoyed to even take our order. I was surprised at the difference in a few months. I had forgot to order my older kids something to go and I walked back in 4 minutes after my food had been delivered and they informed me they were closed. I looked at my watch and it said 8:02. I was totally surprised that they wouldn't scoop a bowl of soup into a bowl or anything simple, even though it was technically closed - by 2 minutes. What terrible service in my opinion. They had everything cleaned up and put away before they were even closed. I saw a couple still eating dinner outside, when we drove over to JDawgs to get something for the kids (now that is a place I'd recommend! Tastes good and the customer service is an A+). It was barely before 8:15 and it was a ghost town in Village Baker! All lights were off and the workers were gone - leaving this poor couple sitting in the dark, eating all alone in the dark. Now, I've worked in the food industry multiple times and my husband and I are business owners as well. We try an accommodate people within reason. I thought the food was not very good at all tonight and the customer service was lacking even more so. I won't be going back and I sure would NOT recommend this place to anyone else - at least the location in St. George. The owners should probably look for a better manager, IMO. Great help is so hard to find, no one wants to be customer service oriented anymore. Sad days :( read more

St. George location - I purchased our dinner using their APP. I arrived at the store to pick up my order. I checked my order and one of the items was made incorrectly. I spoke to the manager, he said he would remake it. He was obviously annoyed that he had to remake it. He grabbed the food container out of my hand. No apology offered. I waited and when the new item was brought out to me I checked It and it was wrong again. I brought it to the manager's attention. He told me he was mad about it. What does that mean? Again, no apology offered from the manager. The kid that brought my order out was apologetic, but not the manager. We frequent Village Baker regularly. This was our third visit this week. The food is great, however I will not support a business who doesn't care about their customers. It's not that my order had to be remade twice. It's the lack of professionalism from the manager that my decision is based on. Also, the ice machine has not worked properly since the opened. This business will not last with poor ownership, management and faulty equipment. The lack of caring is obvious. read more
