I forgot to take pictures. We wanted to try a place that was highly recommended here in our city that we had not been too. We were greeted by friendly staff when we arrived, the ambiance is amazing inside an old building, well lit. We ordered seafood scampi and chicken Marsala. The Marsala came with mashed potatoes that are AMAZING, I mean I love mashed potatoes but honestly these were incredible. My Marsala was a tad lacking on flavor but was still delicious. I ate all of it. My other half preferred the scampi which was boasting with all kinds of seafood he almost licked the plate clean. Waitress was prompt, friendly, fun. The place was getting busy for a midweek dining experience but did not lack anything. Saw some friendly faces we knew that were also eating there. Highly recommend this place, lots of choices. I will be trying the steak on our next visit! It looked amazing and so many people were ordering it. Five of us dining on Saturday night and three of us got the flat iron steak potato and veggies, One rib eye, and the Mushroom ravioli with Bolagnese sauce. Worth the Wait -- Cozy and Delicious! Capeletti's is a small, cozy Italian restaurant that clearly has a loyal following. The place fills up quickly, and there were people waiting to be seated -- always a great sign! Despite its size, it feels warm and welcoming rather than crowded. My husband ordered the ribeye, and it was cooked beautifully -- tender, flavorful, and done just right. I had the spaghetti with meatballs, and it was classic Italian comfort food at its best. Giving this one a 4/5 because my ribeye, mashed potatoes and vegetables were such a good choice and great combination. To preface this review, I am super passionate about Italian cuisine and enjoy cooking recipes from Italian chefs. I say this because of how underwhelmed we were by the bolognese. My wife ordered the gnocchi bolognese and it was sitting in a pool of oily bolognese. A let down for her, unfortunately. Gnocchis were nothing to write home about either. My wife's family is Italian, so their recipe is hard to beat. Going back to my dish, the steak was well seasoned, the char on it was perfect, the cook even more perfect as this was a thinner ribeye. Mashed potatoes tasted fresh, the Gorgonzola sauce on the steak was very good too. Our server was super friendly, but he did take his time coming by our table. Ambiance was fine. The restaurant got incredibly hot once more guests arrived and by the end of dinner, we were all sweating. read more

If you wanna get Italian food where the St. George locals do, Cappeletti's is the place to go! Tried this place for the first time my last visit and loved it! The owners were very kind. I got the pesto gnocchi, my boyfriend got the chicken Marsala and his mom got the flat iron steak. My gnocchi was amazing!! Ate the leftovers a day later and it was still super good. The steak comes with a yummy Gorgonzola sauce, one of the most popular items there. We also got the spinach and artichoke dip to start and all of the entrees came with a salad to start. Not much to praise about. Interior was ok. Felt like a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with low budget for interior. And it was very warm inside. Not a very pleasant dining experience. The server was very slow to attend to our table. Something about him wasn't very genuine. Forgot one of our drinks. Then forgot to bring the bread he said he had put in the oven for us. I didn't bother to remind him as he rarely came by and I wanted to hurry up and get out. The food -- Caprese Brushcetta, Chicken Marsala, Meat Lasagna, and Fettucine Alfredo w/ chicken --- tasted all average even though they look pretty good. Nothing to write home about. Nothing you'd want to order again. And it was just too warm in there and the mediocre food just made things worse for me. Couldn't wait to get out of there. So many positive reviews so we checked them out for lunch, first time. It has cool ambience but the food was definitely underwhelming. My wife had fish and chips and honestly the fish looked like it had been dropped from a frozen bag into the fryer. Grocery store quality. And my steak sandwich was very average. Delicious, the bread is so soft and yummy. Our group had three of the steaks with the Gorgonzola cheese on it, and loved them. One had salmon, loved it, one had lasagna and their family is from Italy, and they said it was delicious. And one had chicken Alfredo, chicken was moist. I came here years ago and remember loving it. This time not so much. Our server was friendly but it did take a long time to get our main courses. The ambiance is quaint and charming which is one of the things that made me remember the place. The bruschetta was decent and the artichoke dip was really good. Their caesar salad wasnt something I would order again. And the seafood linguini was disappointing. The "garlic butter sauce" it was supposed to have seemed to be watered down with what tasted like salt water. I like seafood and don't mind a fishy dish but this was overwhelmingly fishy. I was able to push through my sick feeling and finish it since it was $24 but I would not recommend ordering it. The shrimp was over cooked although. the rest was adequately prepared the flavor was just overwhelmingly fishy. I don't think I'll be back unless they announce some major changes. read more

Let me start by saying we had a cute little 18-year-old waitress and she was really really good.. The older waitress with the dark hair needs to take some lessons from her.. I ordered Cesar salad with chicken and it was just average.. chicken was dry and the salad did not have enough dressing on it so I asked for a little more dressing.. She brought it out to me in a little white cup and it still wasn't very much but it helped the dry chicken... Much to my surprise when I went to pay the bill they had charged me $2 for extra dressing.. I have never had that happen before in any restaurant but I guarantee you it won't happen to me again, at least not at this restaurant at least because I will never will not ever again step foot in there again. We were wondering why it was so empty at lunch time as it's usually full well the $2 extra for extra dressing might be one of the reasons.. You're probably thinking why didn't I bring it up to one of the waitresses or management and to be honest it wasn't worth my time. We have eaten at the restaurant several times. In the past it has been really good. This time we were disappointed. The service was very good. The food okay but not anywhere as good as in the past. The service was attentive and very timely. One of the better restaurants in St. George. The pasta came out perfectly al dente and the pasta and sauce ratio was fitting. The dishes are not overwhelmingly saucy or salty and every bite makes you want more. If you order an entree, it comes with a house salad. I personally think the salad portions could have been a tad larger. If I took all the veggies and mashed it all into a 8 fluid ounce cup, it could have all fit in there and still have space for another half portion. But the restaurant may have adjusted based on their experience with customers not really consuming these tasty greens. The plus side is the salad came out very cold and crisp, how I would expect a good salad to be served. If you decide to upgrade to a soup, be prepared. The soup portions are almost enough to be dinner on its own. We had the French Onion and Tomato Bisque, both very delicious and well seasoned. The temperature of the soup is warm enough to be considered on the hot end, but not hot enough to burn your mouth. For some reason, almost every restaurant we went to had overly salted food, but at Cappeletti's, everything was well balanced. The Chicken Gorgonzola's sauce was smooth and creamy, not chunky like how some cram sauces become when they cool down. The Ribeye had a good char and beautifully pink (medium rare) with a nice soft chew. The night we visited, the dinner special was Sea Bass on top of (I think) a walnut pesto canneloni pasta. The sea bass was cooked so well. Crispy exterior and a very soft and juicy center. We have a 2 yr 9 month old and she loved the dish. I cut the canneloni pasta in half, stuffed it with the sea bass, fed it to her and she said, "Mmm, yummy." If a 2 year old loves a dish, especially one they've never had before, it's a huge victory. Now, for desserts! Save room for dessert! We only tried the Creme Brule and the Tiramisu and they were Both, very delicious and not overly sweet. The dessert portions were larger than we expected, so definitely get one to share and then order a second dessert, which I think you might get if you have room. We left about 8:55 PM. I use to be a waitress at a restaurant and bar with a shift from 12PM-12AM and I totally get being tired at the end of the shift. I think the only thing I can say that could improve this experience is if they incorporated a good fare well, such as "thank you and have a good night." We kind of left with everyone staring us in silence. But until that moment, everything was great. read more

Good Friday 4/2/2021 Visiting St. George Utah for the night to conquer Zion National Park tomorrow had us looking for Good Friday eats. Called Cappelettis and was able to score a table for 4. Arrived 5 mins early and was able be seated shortly. There isn't a ton of restaurants in St George so we were happy being scoring reservations on such short notice. They will only hold you reservations for 10 minutes max so be timely if you do come Our Server Daniel was soooo good with the kids. They shared and swapped Anime discussions. Our kids eyes doubled in size and though Daniel was the greatest server ever! Food was good. So hard to not compare to Vegas a few hours away or what's avail in the bay but probably good for locals. Ample parking, clean establishment. read more

It's not on their website but was told that without a reservation any parties over four will not be taken, so I called this morning and was then told that they do not make reservations for over four...so no matter what; over four, don't bother. What a fun find!! Started with their mushroom gnocchi- y'all to die for!! Their house made blue cheese dressing was chefs kiss!! Hands down the best I've ever had!! The red pepper flakes in the sea food linguine totally brought out the light lemon in the sauce.. and the piece de resistance- the crème brûlée!! We were going to try a new restaurant tonight and go with friends to Cappeletti's tomorrow. The new one we wanted to try was closed so we decided, what would be wrong with going there 2 nights in a row? I go for the Chilean Sea Bass, it's the best anywhere. It has always been so good. Tonight it was served on the most delicious ravioli I have ever tasted. I was a little disappointed when the server told me about the ravioli because I love their risotto. It just didn't sound right. So I came for the Sea Bass and stayed for the ravioli. I would have bought just the ravioli and really hope they still have it tomorrow because I'm going back. One of the best things I have eaten.
