We'd been saving this place as a date night/special occasion dinner but ended up being lured over by the amazing aroma wafting from the kitchen during the Desertscape film fest at the Electric Theatre. We had almost 2 hours to kill in-between film blocks so it worked out perfect. I'm glad we went when we did because we didn't have reservations and the place was busy but luckily the outside was open which is what we wanted. I enjoyed the open air and French music from the outdoor speakers although if they had some sort of screen or decorative feature from the awning to the gate, it would be much nicer instead of staring at cars. Our waitress was kind, attentive, friendly, and very accommodating. She was also thorough about mentioning all the items on the menu that were gluten-free and how all of their dressings were as well. The only gluten-free pasta option is a penne and I was a little concerned that it would be too al dente for my liking but my fears were assuaged after I took my first bite. Absolute perfection. I went with the marinara sauce which tasted fresh and was light with no cloying sweetness, unlike other tomato sauces I've had. The side salad starter was wonderful too because of the extremely flavorful house-made chimichurri sauce. Andy got the sea bass special with gnocchi which he also thoroughly enjoyed. I took a bite of just the sea bass and I can see why people rave about it. So flavorful, moist, tender, and cooked perfectly. The wine pairings we had were delicious as well. Andy got a pinot Grigio and I had the Malbec. We would have loved to try the crème brûlée and flourless chocolate cake but were too stuffed so will have to return sometime just for dessert. Today was my first trip to this restaurant and it went very well. I had the day's special: Gnocchi with sausage and red sauce. It was excellent. I picked out 3 bay leaves; which I thought was extreme.. but, no harm, no foul. The bread was nice and the herbed butter was really good. I got a side salad with the special and decided to try the gorgonzola salad dressing. It was a bit oily; but, overall it was very good. I would have it again. I was going to try dessert; but, got filled up so that will have to wait until next visit. I do plan on stopping by again to try some other items on the menu. Is this really a business? Our second time visiting this restaurant. Last time was so so, but this time was the last. We were seated around 7:00 pm and servers walked back and forth, with an occasional glance in our direction. Finally, around 7:15 pm, one of the servers who had glanced our way came to take our order. She was not friendly to begin with and being in the fine dining restaurant business for over 15 years, I told her she should smile more. She grinned and said is there anything else you want me to do different? My partner said being a little quicker would be helpful, to which she replied "this was as quick as I could get to you, I even skipped taking another party's order even though they were here before you and if we had any other complaints , we could talk to the owner". She had just taken an order at a nearby table with four people and certainly, they were there before us and we understood that, but the only other party near us had just been seated next to us, long after we had been seated. The owner or manager happened to be at the table behind us and my partner asked, "are you the owner? " to which she replied "yes". He told her that our server has an attitude. She said she was aware of the situation and had reassigned our table to another server and that he would take care of us and if he didn't, to let her know and she dashed off without an apology of any kind. I became upset and decided to leave. I stopped by the kitchen area and told the owner to cancel our order that we were leaving, to which she replied "okay good!". Okay, good? Are you kidding me? Is that how you treat your customers? I walked out and she approached my partner and said "if you disrespect one of my servers I am not apologizing for that" and stormed back to the kitchen area. What???? If there was any disrespect, it came from the server and the owner. One of the keys to management is getting both sides of the story. We have no idea what the server told her and she didn't care about the truth or her customer. How do you treat customers like that and expect to stay in business? read more

I'm a sucker for a restaurant will outdoor/patio seating. There's something alluring about walking by and seeing people enjoying a cocktail and meal outside surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. It's magical to me. So if you have a patio, I'll probably be there. Cappeletti's patio is what drew me in, but it was the service and the food that will make me return. Our server, Ernesto, was so kind and attentive. I felt like he was a family member and he wanted to take care of us as if we were his only customer. (He even apologized and got his manager involved when some annoying kids were revving up their engines incessantly across the street in the parking garage.) We ordered salads, since we arrived pretty late and noticed that the menu calls out long prep times for some of the meals. We didn't want to be jerks and order a steak that would take 45 minutes to prepare when we arrived only an hour before they closed. The wine list is modest, but covers the basics. There are no cocktails or beer, perhaps because they don't have a full bar. But when you want a good Italian meal, you've gotta pair it with a glass of wine, right? read more

We have been wanting to try this place for a while but unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience last night. The staff is very friendly and kind, but the food needed more quality and flavor. The Caesar salad dressing was basically just mayonnaise, with a hint of anchovy taste. The Bruschetta was served on tasteless, soggy bread instead of nice, crispy toast. The Calamari was bland, and the marinara dipping sauce tasted like it came from a can (not freshly made). We will not be returning. read more

We finally made it here for our anniversary and we were excited to give it a try. I'm picky and usually if I have a favorite dish, I know exactly how I like it prepared...and that can be an issue sometimes. We ordered the mushroom gnocchi appetizer and omg, it was so good! It was a huge portion for an appetizer and I'm not going to lie..I might just order that for an entree next time! I'm the spouse that comes in hungry and over orders, takes a few bites and then I am full, and this was no different. We finished the appetizer and I was done, but then came the French onion soup. I loved every bite of it. I was so full after that..but then came out my chicken Marsala. My husband ordered the special of the night and was so excited to get it, but they ran out of homemade pasta so they substituted gnocchi which was really weird in the dish. It didn't pair well with the tomato and lobster sauce. It would have been amazing with pasta. BUT, that was my husbands call and not the restaurant's. My chicken Marsala was really watery. It was not remotely my favorite but I was so full at this point I really didn't care. The mashed potatoes it came with were fantastic so after a couple small bites of that, I just had it boxed up and brought it home for my teenager who devoured it. I went to Cappelletti's last evening. I had the sea bass. It's kind of difficult to find good sea food in St. George. This sea bass dish was as good as I've had anyplace. Oh Boy, I just have to start off by stating that I do not hesitate to express gratitude and appreciation for good to GREAT service. I arrived around 1:45. I told the young lady there were two us. She seated me as I waited for my wife to arrive. We receive two glasses of water. I'm waiting 5, 10, close to fifteen minutes to see my waitress. The moment my wife arrives and sits, the waitress comes over and asks if we're ready to order. I ask for drinks. To make a long story short, a table across from us(party of five) the guy gets up and walks to the hallway, looks towards the kitchen and says, "Did you forget about us?" Our waitress, Jamee(?), not the same waitress as their waitress was extremely, extremely disappointing. I left her a decent tip, but I refuse to have her serve us again. This is the second time my wife and I ate at this establishment. After hearing so many people say how consistently amazing the flat iron is, we tried that and were both happy. The second time we ended up sharing dishes and tried the ribeye which I was only $5 more and had 50% more meat. We also shared the chicken gorgonzola. We loved both of them and cleaned our plates! We were looking forward to fun,quick lunch with two other couples we had been on an outing with to Tuachan. The restaurant was not very busy and appeared to be well staffed. So, we didn't anticipate any issues. After about 15 minutes, the orders started coming out. Two of the four were not as ordered or incomplete. My wife and I waited an additional 15 minutes and our order wasn't called. When I went to counter, I was told it had not been started, so I asked for a refund. As they were processing it, our bagged order magically appeared. I'm assuming it was sitting on a shelf somewhere. By the time we got it, the food was cold and barely edible. It was very disappointing, since I believe the ingredients were of good quality, only the execution was pretty lame. Worst service by a Hostess on 8/6/21 pm. She was rude and discriminated us. We made a reservation over the phone and when we got introduced to our table we kindly asked for a different table and she denied our request regardless of the circumstances. She sat us on a table that was hard to sit with one of us having an injured foot and crutches, exposing one of our guest to be more vulnerable to injury. She definitely made our appetite less appealing as she kept roaming our table for multiple times, for no apparent reason. No one enjoyed our dinner as this Hostess kept starring at us.. What a shame this restaurant doesn't accommodate for the American with disabilities. My Cappeletti's was a nightmare mother day celebration with bait and switch that felt like highway robbery. This mother day I took my wife and mother in law to St.George for a staycation from SLC. The first issue was with the wine. We ordered a $45 Chianti Classical Reserve bottle the normally runs for $20-24 at a wine store. They bring out an $8 bottle of wine that tasted terrible. My wife didn't want to make a scene, so I didn't send it back. Then for dinner my wife and I ordered black angus steak and they brought out something that looked like a kidney.
