Worst service by a Hostess on 8/6/21 pm. She was rude and discriminated us. We made a reservation over the phone and when we got introduced to our table we kindly asked for a different table and she denied our request regardless of the circumstances. She sat us on a table that was hard to sit with one of us having an injured foot and crutches, exposing one of our guest to be more vulnerable to injury. She definitely made our appetite less appealing as she kept roaming our table for multiple times, for no apparent reason. No one enjoyed our dinner as this Hostess kept starring at us.. What a shame this restaurant doesn't accommodate for the American with disabilities. We were looking forward to fun,quick lunch with two other couples we had been on an outing with to Tuachan. The restaurant was not very busy and appeared to be well staffed. So, we didn't anticipate any issues. After about 15 minutes, the orders started coming out. Two of the four were not as ordered or incomplete. My wife and I waited an additional 15 minutes and our order wasn't called. When I went to counter, I was told it had not been started, so I asked for a refund. As they were processing it, our bagged order magically appeared. I'm assuming it was sitting on a shelf somewhere. By the time we got it, the food was cold and barely edible. It was very disappointing, since I believe the ingredients were of good quality, only the execution was pretty lame. My overall take as a retired Quality Management Systems auditor is that the chain lacks an effective overall management and training system. read more

My Cappeletti's was a nightmare mother day celebration with bait and switch that felt like highway robbery. This mother day I took my wife and mother in law to St.George for a staycation from SLC. The first issue was with the wine. We ordered a $45 Chianti Classical Reserve bottle the normally runs for $20-24 at a wine store. They bring out an $8 bottle of wine that tasted terrible. My wife didn't want to make a scene, so I didn't send it back. Then for dinner my wife and I ordered black angus steak and they brought out something that looked like a kidney. The temperature were all wrong, but the sides were ok. There is a reason why this place is never sold out, it is because the food is less than mediocre. read more

First time visiting and will come back for another dining experience to try again. First off the calamari was outstanding. They have a real nice Argentine Malbec. The chicken marsala had good flavor, but the chicken was tough and overcooked. Potatoes were very good. Seafood linguini was also bland and chewy. In all fairness we changed the linguini to gluten free pasta and it was definitely not a good choice. It changed the dynamics of the dish drastically, so the regular dish is probably very good. I wanted to love this restaurant based on most Yelp reviews and a glowing recommendation from a close friend. BUT, there were several problems with our first (and maybe last) visit. The host greeted us by questioning if we had a reservation even though he mumbled that it wasn't necessary since maybe five of their thirty tables had customers. Then he proceeded to seat us at a corner table which was even darker than usual because the overhead light was burned out--the waitress advised him of that, but he ignored her. We had to use our phone lights to see the menu. We read the specials on the board outside the restaurant. Surprisingly the waitress didn't mention them. I asked about their mushroom gnocchi and cannelloni; she recommended the cannelloni. I also ordered French onion soup. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and meat lasagna. She poured us ice water then asked if we wanted anything else to drink. She brought hot rolls (frozen?) with whipped garlic herb butter after our appetizers. My husband loved his salad. My soup had zero flavor; it's been years since I've had to season food from a restaurant. The lasagna was runny but good. The herbed ricotta cheese inside the cannelloni and parmesan on top weren't melted or even warm. Yuck! But the sauce was flavorful with fresh tomatoes. We were given more rolls (burnt) after the entrees were cleared from the table. We didn't want any dessert. I'll try their crime brûlée. The women's bathroom was filthy and stinky. Outstanding Date Night We didn't have a reservation; however, they seated us within (5) minutes. The ambiance & decor is definitely Italian. The Staff was professional, courteous, friendly & welcoming. We were lucky & blessed to have Ryan as our Server. He was kind & knowledgeable -- I asked several questions & he answered them graciously. The pros: Overall the food was fantastic. My husband and I shared our two dishes. He got the flatiron steak medium rare with mashed potatoes, grilled veggies, and a Gorgonzola sauce. The whole thing was incredibly good. I got a special--prosciutto wrapped sea bass, shrimp, and asparagus with bowtie pasta in a creamy caper sauce. It was also very good. Our pork empanada appetizer and Italian dressing side salad was also fantastic. Our waitress, Lara, was friendly and did a great job. She was just the right amount of present but not interrupting the conversation. The atmosphere was fancy and quaint at the same time. The cons: the Caesar half salad was the biggest let down of the night which I upgraded to from a regular side salad. Even though we utilized the provided lemon wedge the salad didn't have enough dressing or flavor. It seemed like I was basically just eating lettuce. Bummer because a good Caesar salad is what dreams are made of... Not here though. The rolls were fine. A few years ago when I was in St. George for a play, I came here for dinner. It was a mistake because Cappeletti's is closed on Monday. I made sure this year to get my ticket for a correct day and I came here for dinner before going to see the play at Tuacahn. Entering when it opened, I was seating after a brief wait for the first couple to be seated. I was brought a menu, some iced tea, and given time to look things over. My server, madison, was a complete delight. She was about to tell me the special but I told her I saw it on the sign in the window and that's what I ordered. With the special, sea bass, you get a salad. The salad was a standard mixed greens affair with bleu cheese being my choice. I didn't get an offer for freshly ground pepper as I saw other tables get later. The sea bass was on homemade tagliatelle tossed in some walnut pesto and it was topped with a caper cremoletta. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, flaky, and very enjoyable. The tagliatelle was good. For dessert, I went with their cinnamon raisin bread pudding. It was served in the oblong dish in which it was baked. There was a good amount of cinnamon but I saw no raisins. It was still nice dessert. Service was good but if you go here, know that you will not be hurried. If time is a factor, you might want to go elsewhere. By the way people were greeted at the door, it seemed like this was a locals place and I was the outsider. The size of the restaurant is deceptive. There's a section to the left of the main area you see in one of my photos, and this area seats quite a few people too. This appears to be a family business and there are waits between courses. Love this restaurant. Went by some visiting Zion and my only regret is that there isn't one in California. Service from Daniel was great and even though we unknowingly wandered in 30 minutes before close we didn't feel rushed at all. Finally tried out Cappeletti's for lunch yesterday and was not disappointed. The place really lives up to the hype. I ordered the special (Chicken Marsala) and my wife ordered the meatball sandwich. My meal came with pasta and a salad; her's came with crisp cut french fries. Food was plentiful and really good. The wife and I went out for dinner date night. Earlier she called in the day and put a reservation. We show up and check-in with the hostess and waited 5-10 minutes, quick. The service we received was perfect! Our waiter was attentive and also gave feedback on selections of wines for my wife. Our appetizer was tasting fantastic, Caprese bruschetta! So we read many reviews about how long it takes to receive the food from the kitchen. If you read on the bottom of the menu, states food might take up to 45 minutes. The wait was fine because a night without the kids, we will enjoy. Our food was so good. The desserts we got were the same all good. Wife got the spumoni ice cream and I got the crème brûlée because everytime a restaurant has it, she doesn't want to get it. She tried my dessert and gave me the look. The look that means "I no longer want my dessert and I want yours!" She is now a fan of the crème brûlée. We now have a place to go for date night! They told me they could eat a salad and nothing else...... it's 2021, allergies are not abnormal anymore and I would hope a kitchen is clean enough to offer more than a salad. We are in town for the Zion half Marathon 2/23/19 and wanted to carb up the night before so we made Reservation which is a must because they are that good and very busy. But well worth the wait! The hostess was beyond polite and on her "A" game. We had reservations for 6:30pm and that is pretty darn close to when we got seated. Service was amazing as was the food. The food was served quickly but not rushed at all. We have eaten all over the world and I was so impressed with everything about this place the staff, food and charm of the atmosphere. I've had the opportunity to eat there a few times now with my gf and my dad which surprisingly we sat in the same booth every time. It's the best seat in the house imo but atmosphere, serving, and food was all excellent. I ordered their steaks and am so happy I do every time, their onion soup is excellent too, it's all super tasty down to the desert. Came in from out of town for Tuacahn. We were able to get a reservation the same day for a couple hours later. I got the sea bass special with gnocchi, my wife got the rib eye. I have had fish all over the world including Mama's Fish house in Maui. This was one of the best. My wife's was also amazing. The service was great. Loved this little gem! Seated rather quickly and service was good. I unfortunately ate before going out (communication mishab) however I shared a ammmmaazzzinnngg artichoke dip. It was phenomenal and had actual chunks of artichoke. Then I had a tiramisu and it was pretty good, a little overdone on I'm guessing the liquor (idk what they put in it) but overall I do not regret!
