Started out with the artichoke dip! Very hot and very good! Next was the onion soup! Probably the best onion soup I have ever had! Right out of the oven! Fantastic flavor! The Italian bread was hot and a great herb butter with it! It's a little noisy in the eating area but not terrible! They could use some sound proofing on the ceiling. The service was good but I think our waitress was new! Didn't have a lot of knowledge of the specials! She was nice though! I ordered the rib eye steak with Gorgonzola! It was a beautiful day and we wanted to eat outside so we chose Cavaletti's. What a wonderful dining experience. Their salads were absolutely delicious. I had the one with chicken and artichokes and the dressing was amazing. My husband really enjoyed his shrimp Cesar and our friend had the chicken spinach. Really cute place with eclectic decor and good food! Here you get the usual Italian staples and a few out of the box items like the empanadas or chimichurri. We got the pork (a bit over done), fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, chicken Marsala and meat lasagna. Portions were def plenty! All meals come with a salad too which is nice. We ate at Cappaletti's for the first time as we were passing through St. George last week. This place is truly excellent! Everything we tried was top notch. The food was mediocre at best but my review is about the staff when seating us we were blinded by the sun hitting the chrome bumper of a car parked in front, we asked to be moved to one of the several open tables and were told no we will fix it. So..... they put up menus to block the sun and someone else came along and took them down! Now obviously this is not a new problem and they should have regular window shades!?!? For a small town it is probably the best option for a nice Italian dinner. Service was decent. The rolls made me wonder if they were purchased or homemade... I had the chicken Gorgonzola pasta. Where was the chicken? Very sparse serving of chicken. Plenty of pasta just lacking in the rest. Flavor was good. I also sampled the cannelloni with Alfredo and chicken. This was a large slab of chicken just stuck on top. Interesting presentation. But it was present unlike the pasta. Overall decent. And not too busy on a Friday night even though they asked if we had reservations and tons of tables were open. read more

Our close friends in Saint George love eating here. It is one of their favorite places. When all the guys get together at their place for a dirt bike riding adventure they swing by here. My husband thinks its a great place as well. We really appreciate Loraine the owner as she twice now over the years has allowed us to purchase a gift card for them over the phone and she personally mails it to them for us. Came here before a Christmas. Read the reviews and went for the Ribeye steak. Also order the artichoke dip because our server said it was the best she's ever had. Ribeye market price on a Friday was $36. Steak came with side salad, mashed potatoes and grilled season vegetables. I gave the 4 star because the artichoke dip was disappointing. The chips were store bought chips and a little stale. BUT the steak, potatoes and veggies were AMAZING! So good. Fauna, our server was so kind and attentive. She said the chefs were Argentinian and Italian so that's why you get an amazing steak at an Italian restaurant. Will try their pastas next time. read more

Had a lovely dinner here last week. Right in downtown St. George, the restaurant decor was charming with outside dining as well. I believe it's a family business. The husband and son are chefs. The wife came to our table to ask how our food was. Everything was made with care. Delicious empanadas and a hazelnut encrusted shrimp were our starters. Ordered their special of sea bass over homemade (huge!) ravioli filled with ricotta and fig with prosciutto and a buttery sauce. Very rich (had to bring most of it home) but a tasty creation of flavors. We will be back the next time we're in town. read more

I wanted to try something new. Not being from the area, Yelp lead me here. The place wasn't very busy. It was around 4pm on a Thursday night, but we were asked to wait to be seated. My impatience was growing. After about 10 mins, we were finally seated. I browsed through the menu, and noticed that they didn't have as big of a spread as I assumed. But usually, smaller menus means that the restaurant takes great pride and effort into their dishes. Once I saw lasagna on the menu, my heart was set. Since I was really famished, I added a cup of French onion soup to my order. It took about 25 minutes for the soup to arrive. It was very bland. Lasagna, I should have inquired first what meats they use, because I don't like Italian sausage, and would have preferred ground beef. With the fork in my hand, I dug deep, and noticed that my lasagna was sitting in a pool of water. Their sauce was so watery along with the drippings from the Italian sausage. The lasagna was by far, worse than a grocery store frozen lasagna. They should change the menu to "lasagna soup." Oh, and to top it all off, the lasagna was incredibly bland. Would I come back? We visited Cappeletti's because some friends who live here recommended them. It was our wedding anniversary and we loved the food and service. The owner greeted us and many of the servers knew our friends who were with us. The sea bass and homemade spaghetti was the best that I have ever had. My wife had the flat iron steak with mashed potatoes. A local favorite. Served medium cooked, it was tasty and tender. We will look forward to returning the next time that we are in town. We had an amazing experience; the food was great and we loved Madison, our server. All the staff seemed very nice and made sure everyone was taken care of, despite being pretty busy. Don't call to check ingredients on anything, they are very rude about it. I have a son with severe egg allergies so we called to see if eggs were in the noodles. I don't know if the lady didn't care or forgot to put me on hold but I heard her complaining to someone on her end "this is the 5th call today asking is this in this or is this in that.... this is ridiculous, I mean come on." What awful customer service! We then called to do takeout and they don't offer takeout, even though it says on google that they do. All around not impressed with this place and the way they do business. read more

Best fettuccine alfredo in the whole state if i do say so myself. I recommend EVERYTHING on the menu haha. We have both eaten in St. George at many places and this is now our # one place to go. A bit hesitant after the mixed reviews, delighted we gave it a go any way. We were seated immediately, super friendly hostess. Our server was Brooke, she was terrific. I had the mushroom gnocchi, great flavor and taste. Mushrooms were cooked to perfection, great flavor and you could see they were mushrooms not a brown unknown. Sauce creamy and not to heavy. My husband had the pork chop, with mashed potatoes. He thought it was juicy and tender. Brooke was attending the service was excellent. Driving from Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon. Got to St. George and had a craving for Italian. What a find! Cappeletti's was amazing!! My wife had the Chicken Marsala and she said it reminded her of her Nona's Marsala back in Italy where she grew up. I had Chicken Gorgonzola, I had to stop myself from licking the plate. The staff was amazing and to hear Italian being spoken in the kitchen enhanced the experience. But the authentic cuisine was the star of the show. So so so bummed! I was really looking forward to trying this place but it failed. First off when we walked in we were not greeted or treated very nicely. Just a rude "how many" I don't think she was the normal hostess because later I saw her waitressing. She also sat us in a booth next to where they get the food and we grabbed a high chair for our 1 year old and she was like "I'm not sure if you can sit here with a high chair" my husband and I were extremely confused why she would seat us somewhere a kid can't be when our daughter was with us the whole time and obviously needed a high chair. Sitting over there wasn't great. It was loud and a lot of traffic and I was worried that waiter or waitress would trip over my daughter in a the high chair. Okay on the the food! The rolls are good and the butter is good that comes with them. Our waitress offered us more rolls which I loved. The starter Salad nothing special just a salad but a great add. NowuuYou this is where it get bad. I order the Seafood pasta and comes out full of liquid and it's actually extremely in appetizing just at first look. The Seafood in it was good but pasta was a fail. No flavor at all. I felt like I was just eating noodles with a ton of liquid. Next thing my husband got Gnocchi and it was way way over cooked. You'd take a bit and it was like mush in your mouth. Both dishes failed for us. Plus the service wasn't great! We never got offered if we'd like any drinks. We waited forever for our check!! My husband and I moved to Saint George in July 2020 & this has become one of our favorite date night choices. The calamari is so yummy (thick pieces like near the ocean). House dressing vinagrette is delicious, though not as citrusy as one would expect, most entrees come with a small house salad. The bread and herb/seasoned butter was delicious. Italian sodas are made with cream- and topped with whip cream, careful there oh faltering heart! Marsala sauce is very flavorful but very heavy. Could not finish half of my Marsala Gorgonzola, but it was done well. Pasta a good al dente, but chicken a tad dry. Tasted a gnocchi, was very soft, but otherwise not that remarkable. French onion soup came out piping hot, great balance of salty and sweet. Tiramisu was more like a tiramisu inspired cake then a genuine tiramisu- the cake wasn't moist enough - don't think it was soaked at all- overall flavors were good but the cream also too heavy and thick.
