The staff is very nice in all of Zion Ponderosa. And Ponderosa Eats is a very convenient eatery for the resort, so I'm glad it's there. However, the food is probably a 3.5. Anything with brisket (pizza and burger) our family thought was good, and the pizzas in general were decent. However, I had the roasted chicken and although I appreciated that they had a healthy option, it wasn't that good, and the vegetables tasted like frozen veggies. To order, you go up to the ordering stand and place your order with the staff. They give you a number for your table and the food is brought out to you. they have a lot of larger tables for groups of 6 or so. Afterward you bus your own table by bringing your dishes and trash to a bin and trash area. It feels kind of cafeteria style but like I said it's very convenient. We only ate here once for dinner but we often dropped by to fill our water bottles and get ice. read more

We loved this place while visiting Zion and staying in and Airbnb near by. I wish I got the hostess's name but she was from Brazil and moved to Utah for work and she was absolutely delightful. Our family stopped in for dinner one night and had the soup and salad bar as well as a pizza. The kind hostess brought over a cup of strawberries for my 6 month old baby. We stopped by again the next morning for coffee and breakfast sandwiches on our way to hike. Coffee was great but to be honest, the breakfast sandwich wasn't our favorite. I wouldn't order that again but have to still give 5 stars for dinner the night before and service of the incredible staff. Great location and plenty of indoor/ outdoor seating as well. Oh! The dinner options are pretty decent, they have gluten free stuff to choose from which is nice. Breakfast was not great. The bacon is buffet microwaved bacon, the hostess sucks, she didn't even ask what side I wanted with my eggs, so I got a plate of eggs. The sausage was gross and cold. They need any gf options for breakfast and healthier food options for breakfast. Overall it's clean, the coffee is HELLA good. Just a few improvements would make it a killer spot. read more

Pretty good food at the ponderosa, prices aren't bad and service is fast. Fairly large dining area and restrooms. The staff is really nice! The veggie burger was good but the fries were a little generic. They didn't have fry sauce. They don't have any diet caffeine free soda. The lattes are really good though!! I think they use Deep Creek coffee from Springdale. I got a s'mores flavored latte with oatmilk. The breakfast burrito was ok, it just was all potato on one end and all egg on the other. Maybe I should've taken it back to camp and reassembled it. $4 for any side that includes avocado which is too expensive. It said roasted home potato on the menu board for a side but they were just the same hashbrowns that were in the burrito. If I'd had known I wouldn't have ordered them. Overall it's great after a couple long days of hiking and camping! read more

Most of the staff at Zion were absolutely friendly and welcoming, except for the workers at Ponderosa Eats. We ate there twice. The first time, the food was actually amazing, but the staff all seemed like they were having a terrible day. Their attitudes were off-putting, and we honestly couldn't figure out why, they just seemed like they didn't want to be there. We brushed it off as a one-time thing. Unfortunately, our second visit confirmed it wasn't just a bad day. An older woman at the counter was clearly frustrated and repeatedly snapped at another guest, yelling "Your water cup is over there!" in a very rude tone. When we ordered, we politely asked if a breakfast burrito could be made without ham. She slowly shook her head no with the most blank, unbothered face and told us they were premade, but then said, "They're so good!" So we gave them a shot based on that. Well, the burritos were awful, rock hard and nearly inedible. We opened them up and honestly couldn't even tell what was inside. Everything was dry, discolored, and tasted like it had been sitting for days. We also ordered a coffee and a matcha, and both drinks looked and tasted like they were mostly milk with barely any coffee or matcha. When the food and drinks are this bad, rude behavior becomes even harder to overlook. As someone who's worked in customer service, I understand that bad days happen, but that attitude should never be taken out on paying customers. It really affected our experience. read more

We stayed in the area for a few days and didn't want to drive too far for meals, so we came across Ponderosa and decided to give it a try. The prices were extremely fair, and the food was excellent. I'm giving it four stars because of a minor issue with the cashier--she messed up one of our orders. Not a big deal, but when we went back to clarify, she seemed more focused on proving we were wrong rather than resolving the issue calmly. It felt a bit awkward, especially in front of our guests. She's probably just young and still learning, but a little more training from management would go a long way. That said, I still recommend this place. The overall experience, food, service, and prices make it worth visiting. read more

We ate here 3 times while staying at the resort; once to go, twice in the restaurant itself. The portions are huge and the food is actually great. Interesting options along with upgraded basics. My ponderosa pie pizza was even delicious reheated the next night. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, as well. The restaurant is set up in a neat, different way that my family liked a lot. This was my first time to this restaurant and we had a great experience. We ordered the Ponderosa Pie, Garlic Burger, and wings. Great options, it out pretty quick and the pizza was large enough to feed a few people. The wings were surprisingly good and the garlic burger was the hostess recommendation and it was great. I went with the lettuce wrap option.The service was the best part! While bringing out our food, the hostess brought a large bowl of blueberries (unprompted) for our 8 month old baby. It was so thoughtful and she loved them. With it being the off season, it was quiet but still clean. I hear in the summer there is music and the option to eat on the back patio which would have been fun. (I wish I took a few photos but we must've been too hungry after the long drive) read more

We had a group of four people, one burger, one order of wings, and two rotisserie chickens with rice and mixed vegetables. The burger was not bad and after that it was terrible, there was no seasoning on anything the rice and veggies were barely tolerable and most of the food was left as it was just too bland to eat. The service made the food look good, as the young lady was looking at her phone the entire time she was taking our order. The A/C system was very loud and she refused to speak at a level to be heard making the process of ordering difficult at best. Our meals were delivered one meal at a time and two of them were delivered over five minutes after the first two meals were delivered. I understand we are in Utah and it's a little warm, I'm from Oklahoma where it's currently 103 and our house sets at 68 with no trouble but the temperature in this place was at least 80 degrees with no fans and no window coverings making our overall experience terrible. read more

We had dinner here on our first night at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort and unfortunately the only positive I can say is that the front hostess (I believe her name was Alex) was super cordial and friendly. I ordered the chicken pot pie with a side of Mac and cheese and was really disappointed with the price (nearly $21 w/tip) but the quality of the Mac tasted like something that could be gotten from a box, and the chicken pot pie filling was farrrr to thick and had very little discernible chicken or veggies since they appeared blended together. The only redeeming part of the meal was the crust but overall the meal had the consistency of biscuits and gravy. It's a shame that there aren't other options in the area short of driving out of the park. I'd recommend getting a meal from Springdale to eat later on if you plan on staying here! read more

Had an excellent Thanksgiving dinner here. They had all of the typical sides, mains, and desserts, all well made. Staff was very nice and friendly. We did not stay at the resort, but it was well-worth the 50 minute drive from Springdale to enjoy a family-style Thanksgiving during our Zion park vacation. Make sure you call ahead to reserve a table for one of the seatings. Learned from a staff member that the ranch is a family-owned and operated business, so support this local family. If you are looking for a Thanksgiving away from home, this is an excellent option. read more

We drove out of our way to the resort around Ponderosa Eats on our way into the East Entrance of Zion. It was well worth it! The cookies and treats were fresh baked, the food was substantial and tasty, and we learned a lot about the resort and its offerings at the same time. Arianna (breakfast) and Dylan (dinner) are great! Service is generally good, but they both go the extra mile! The prices are reasonable for the a la carte items but seem high for the continental breakfast and pasta bar. Fun place to hang out when you're tired after a day of hiking. There are better places in Springdale and Kanab (shorter drive time) for meals but for the monopoly this place has at the resort it's pretty good. read more

Wow. For the only restaurant around the area they have knocked it out of the park. I was a little concerned that being a little of the beaten path what if the food isn't good considering it's on the higher priced side. But it was awesome I recommend the burger with the brisket it was awesome. As for the service. Kimberly and Amy was some of the best service I have had at a restaurant in a long time and their positivity towards the job and service was excellent. Not only were they patient getting through our bigger party to order but generally we're happy to be working at the restaurant and that's something you don't find very often. We ended up coming back for 2-3 meals and every time Kimberly and Amy had a smile on their face. The lodge look and feel and ambiance was great. Would also recommend the banana bread and the big tasty cookies. We ended the day also swimming at the pool and overall the lodge was a great attraction to the trip. Staff have been super friendly, patient, and helpful! You order at the front and then the staff bring you your food. The food has been quite good with large portion sizes and both breakfast and dinner have been great. The breakfast has been super affordable and Ariana and Jaz have been amazing! The space is really nice, open, and clean with lots of booths and tables. It closes between each meal so make sure you make a note of the open/close times! read more

I had dinner and breakfast here. They have a selection of local Utah's beers available.  I enjoyed a Park City Booker blonde ale and a white ipa.  Both good were good.  For dinner, I tried the pot pie with chicken which was really good.  It was filling.  Service is friendly and quick.  My server knew his beers and was able to explain the differences to me. Breakfast was ok.  They have make your own waffles.  Opens at 730 so gets a little busy initially with hikers trying to eat before heading out.  Utensils are in the corner by the coffee, not by the plates.  Their is a coffee shop in the corner that is not part of the breakfast buffet.  At first I thought it was part of the kitchen but its  is separate. For the time I stayed here and considering how far one will have to go to eat elsewhere, they do a pretty good job. read more

I need to start my review with a HUGE shout out to Ariana. Her service was the best I've experienced pretty much anywhere. She was attentive and engaging both times I interacted with her--it was like chatting with a longtime friend who I was immediately at ease around. I felt that she went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my meals and overall experience. She even offered to pull out the homemade whipped cream for my morning coffee, which was behind the barista counter, not part of the self-serve dairy spread. My time at Zion Ponderosa Ranch would not have been nearly as good without her welcoming energy. Seriously, someone give this woman a raise! The food was pretty good too I suppose lots of options for breakfast and the pepperoni pizza really hit the spot. read more

Everyone was so friendly. The food is ordered at a counter and there is comfortable seating. When we entered someone provided some menu recommendations. Kim our server was especially helpful. We were not expecting a lot from the food as this was a camp:lodge style place. But the food was great! My husbands burger was good and my brisket burger with halipeno bacon jam was very good. The first day of our stay they were extremely understaffed. Adrien greeted us kindly and served at a high level in spite of being the only one caring for the entire dining room and buffet.
