We've been coming here for years but this year had such a bad experience we won't ever go back. Our server listed all the specials, took our drink orders, and said, "Oh by the way, we don't have haddock. Or flatbread." In my opinion, that's as bad as going to Starbucks and having them say, "Oh, we don't have coffee." As someone who doesn't eat shellfish or meat, but eats fish, this eliminated everything. I KNOW from people who work in the restaurant business that restaurants often hold back things for themselves/friends/family and I feel they should have dipped into that stash. Also, the server made ZERO attempt to problem solve (some solutions could include getting surplus from another restaurant, or a sister restaurant, etc, get a manager, offer to comp us anything. I ended up eating a very unsatisfying Caesar salad. The people who run the place are incompetent. Save your money. read more

There was very little mayo in the lobster roll, big chunks of meat and a delicious, crispy roll. They also gave us samples of both their chocolate and blueberry fudge. Great food and a warm atmosphere! We are tempted in with the taste of fresh fudge by the owner a lady who greeted us and told us about the fresh ingredients. I had the steak sandwich which was outstanding, I especially liked the very thin sliced steak. Our waiter Andre suggested I add extra cheese and it really made it scrumptious! I had the broccoli side salad as well with pistachios and it was really good. My wife had the haddock sandwich, and it was flaky and delicious. The french fries mermaid fresh and and were nice and crisp. They make their buns here! We ate outside at the tables with the fire in the middle and it kept us warm and gave a wonderful touch of ambiance. We're attempted to have the pumpkin bread pudding, and it really added a nice finishing touch to a delicious meal. This family has owned the restaurant for 19 years and one of the sons is taking over next year. The service was extraordinary and we were welcomed warmly. We will definitely be back!! read more

This was the worst restaurant expereince I ever had. We waited an hour to eat. I ordered a hamburger and it had a long hair in the middle of it. I asked to speak to a Manager, since by the time I received a new burger my family was done eating. The burger was NOT taken off the bill. They offer you homemade fudge even if you're just walking by. We didn't have a reservation on Tuesday night but they sat us immediately over to the right, up a natural little hill. On street level, tables with small fire pits (in the table) are separated by pretty little wedding tent-looking partitions because of Covid. One of the good things I can say about the place is their setting. Their setting really wows you, great view of the night life in Ogunquit as well as a cool fire pit to sit around when eating. The staff are also nice people who have adorable dogs that just roam around the restaurant. Now the cons: 1) The seating - we sat outside so we had the fire pit tables. For one, the fire is really in your face and can be semi-blinding when you're trying to talk to the person across the table. Other than that, the chair placements felt a little awkward since we were all on an angle (it was just the way the foundation of the deck was laid). 2) The dogs were adorable but it's sort of a food & safety hazard if their fur were to shed everywhere. But also, no one of the staff seemed to have asked if we were okay with dogs or not. What if someone was allergic? 3) Their salad was yuck. I do not recommend. The leaves were flat, the whole bowl was warm, and the fruits were VERY TANGY. It was an odd combination. Especially with the oil dressing. Presentation wise, it looked delish! But don't fool yourself. 4) The prices on the meals were outrageous. I ordered essentially a chicken parmesan but with cracked crumbs on top. Don't get me wrong, it was fantastic and all but the entire dish was about the size of my hand long. BUT, you are in a touristy area so don't expect much. All in all, don't expect the greatest dining experience in the world but if you're interested in eating at the heart of the tourist town while having fire being in your face the entire time, here's the place! read more

INVEST IN A CHEF THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING.. The appetizer of coconut shrimp was the only decent part of the meal and it was likely pre frozen packaged shrimp. The baked scallops and haddock were both flavorless and DROWNING in oil and breadcrumbs. The Cesar salad was DROWNING in dressing. The lobster bisque did NOT taste like lobster bisque. The server originally brought us clam chowder even though we had ordered the bisque. My hubby and I stopped here for lunch on our honeymoon in Maine. They sat us right away and the staff was super nice. My husband ordered the coconut shrimp to start. They came butter flied with a mango jalapeño sauce. He thought they were crunchy and not too coconutty. For Maine (pun intended) courses we got the burger w cheddar and bacon and the haddock tacos. Loved this place. Started with Abby who was hostess in near the sidewalk. She found us an outside seat on a beautiful June day and was also giving out different flavors of fudge that they make! She was very personable and made us want to give the restaurant a shot, and we were glad we did. The food was delicious. Salads with blueberries and raspberries in them and a flatbread caprice pizza....just different stuff. It was served to us by our waitress Hannah, who was very sweet and on the ball. Wow!!!! First visit here on Monday of Memorial Day weekend! Surprised by a few of these negative reviews as we had a fabulous lunch! Great staff -so friendly and responsive. Super clean, and great location. Outside under a canopy with our own table fire pit- people watching and enjoying the sights and sounds of downtown Ogunquit. Our selection was a simple chicken club sandwich - avocado, bacon, cheese with lettuce and tomato. It was cooked perfectly on fresh roll with delicious French fries. Who would think such a simple sandwich could be so tasty! Can't wait to return this summer! And oh yes - the fudge is yummy and all desserts are made by the best bakery in OGT. Enjoy! read more

Right in the heart of the downtown. Great for people watching while al fresco dining. Out door seats all have gas heaters built right into the table for both ambiance and warmth on those cool nites. Six of us strolled right in and sat at the bar on a Sat nite around 530 pm. Young bartender I'm told is the new owner. Very pleasant and efficient. He used to work across the street at the Front Porch. Apps ordered were calamari which were light and crispy . A few orders of wings . One buffalo and the other a special Spicy caramel and sea salt. The Caramel Sounds weird but they were rather flavorful. My fave is the scallops wrapped in bacon! I ordered the fish tacos. Three good size chunks of Lightly battered fried Haddock on a soft taco. Very good flavor. I highly recommend. The fish and chips was huge and also superb. One entree was the lobster roll and chowder. I'm told the chowder was very good but the lobster roll disappointed. Very cold lobster knuckles in a Bulkie roll. No mayo and super dry. Got to get the lobster roll down to get a better review. Especially in a sea town like Ogunquit ! Throw in some mayo and a hot buttered roll and it would be awesome . Prices were reasonable and atmosphere was very good. Bathrooms super clean but one door was severely sticking to the point u needed three men and a boy to open and close. Throw in a few 3 in screws in the top hinge and problem solved. Overall I thought the place was good and would come back. A few tweaks and this place would get 5 stars instead of 4 ! read more
