Great experience - food, cocktails, servers and even other patrons were all lovely. The space itself is cozy and fun. Looking forward to our next visit to try more of the menu! read more

I waited at the front for about 20 minutes and a very stressed out Host finally came over to tell me it was going to be a while so we just decided to leave. They are extremely short of help at this time. I hope they get it figured out! read more

Nice place. Really attentive staff and a good concept. They just seemed to be a bit extra. Drinks tasted a bit medicinal. The charcuterie could be a little less exotic. read more

Oysters: good Deviled eggs: good Duck potatoes: good Meatballs: good, but I don't think an extra ball is worth $7 Steak Skewers: meh, lacks flavor. It's tender, though. Drinks: very good Service: good read more

It's actually the same space as Two Arrows coffee - coffee by morning, bar by evening. Unlike most other wine bars/cocktail places, they were totally cool with me camping out at a table and getting some work done with my laptop (they have wifi). They have lots of wines by the glass and a few beers on tap, but I wanted some cocktails. Unfortunately, they were out of one of the cocktails I wanted with passionfruit, but the other drinks were well balanced: - Penicillin: their unique twist on it, nice and tart/citrusy - Smoking bird: mezcal based Their drinks were well balanced. We also got the buffalo chicken dip, which is a pretty good portion and comes with a lot of pretzels - good for apres ski. They also have some other lite bites like nuts, feta/olives, chips and dip. A lot of people go in after skiing with their boots on and all. After a day of skiing, it's nice to have a cocktail after work and get some work done in the village! read more

Amazing spot in Vail. Ironically, our server tells us upon arrival that they are a "drinks first" establishment, as if food wasn't a top priority. He was clearly just being modest. Really liked the small plates-based menu. Everything we had was so good. Got the Baba Ghanoush, Roots Escabeche, Butter Kissed Mushrooms, and Bleu d'Auvergne as mains. Also, the Dark Chocolate Pot de Crème for desert. The cocktails were just icing on the cake. read more

I went here for drinks and snacks; which were so great! I really enjoyed the options on the menu as well as the interesting cocktail selection. The atmosphere of the entire place is so fun and even feels very comfortable. My only issue is that the staff aren't exactly welcoming or even friendly. My wife and I were enjoying an evening out after being stuck at home for so long working this season and our bartender JD was so unresponsive and blatantly ignored us. It was really unprofessional and as locals we would have hoped to have a more attentive bartender who could at the very, very least approach us with a smile. We honestly wonder and hope that he is ok because no one should carry such a weight of sadness on their shoulders. 1 read more

Great drinks and food!I love the Calamari! The owner is very nice!Looking forward for our spring break to come and eat to this place again!

This place was great! Awesome creative cocktails with great ingredients for reasonable prices (at least as far as craft cocktails go). Besides the cocktails though, the thing that really stood out for me here was how friendly the bartenders (and maybe owner/s?) were. My wife and I came here with our 4 month old baby trying to find somewhere where my wife could "feel like an adult again" and enjoy a sophisticated drink or two. Since we had our baby with us, we weren't sure where we could even go to find somewhere like this, but the staff was extremely welcoming, even allowing us to bring our stroller in and park it next to us while we enjoyed our drinks. Of course, it helps that our baby was content to just hang out for a bit, but we were pleasantly surprised that a place like this exists in Vail that was glad to have us there, even with our baby. read more

The owner was so incredibly nice. Everything on their menu is so thoughtful and delicious! We were about to write off Vails food scene and were so pleasantly surprised by this sweet space. Food and drinks were both outstanding- 3 or 4 things I've never tasted before! Taking away some inspiration for my own kitchen! Would absolutely recommend. read more

Cozy lil gem hidden in the center of Vail Village. We sat here for hours and sipped delicious cocktails. Perfect when just exploring or needing a break from the snow. Cheers! read more

Gave these guys a scathingly bad review before - but gave em a second chance - Joe the British bartender one of best in town - it is not a comfortable restaurant befitting the prices they charge so I recommend for lunch not dinner - great cocktails- so-so wine list read more

The best place in the Valley and it's not close. The menu is diverse, both food and drinks. I've had most of it and it's all fantastic.

Amazing cocktails and food! My husband and I got the gnudi, calamari and scallops and everything was fantastic. If you're in Vail you have to check this place out! read more

Amazing place! Very well made cocktails. A short list of cold and hot food options that are great to share and very tasty. I want to try everything! Good option for a date or get together with friends. Service was actually friendly which is a welcome surprise in Vail. read more

I stopped by Root and Flower on my way back from Grand Junction. Often when I am on work trips, I will take the opportunity to sit by myself at the bar with a book. I order the beet cocktail with three types of gin and the curry. The cocktail was amazing. The curry could have used a bit more salt. But the staff and general feel of the place was awesome. Clearly the staff liked working there and enjoyed the company of one another. I think I overheard five different languages being spoken in the dining room. Overall a great place. read more

Visited R&F twice this trip - it's a great spot for drinks and apps. We did not eat a full dinner but will consider it for the next trip. We visited the original R&F that is currently Two Arrows Coffee years ago and the new space they moved to is larger with a full bar and food service menu. We love the Carajillo espresso drink and the overall cocktail/wine selection. The bartenders can also put something together based on your flavor profile. Highly recommend. read more

I've been here before and had the most amazing experience. Sitting by the bar we got sprayed with dish water on our table. One time is ok, but I watched the waitress/er empty a glass and sprayed on the table next to us. I did not pay for sea world, I wanted a nice dinner. The bar tenders are anything but sanitary. Just remember to bring your flippers and snorkels if you're sitting by the bar. read more

Great addition to Vail Village! Root and Flower not only has an amazing wine list but a delicious and seasonal food menu. The staff is very knowledgable and the cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for apres ski or an after dinner night cap. read more

Eagle County where Root & Flower is located is currently under an "Orange Alert" for Covid-19. They are permitted to have indoor dining but at a reduced capacity. You can make a reservation for a table via Resy. They do require a credit card in case of cancellation right before the time of your reservation or if you are a no show - this is totally understandable given the circumstances. It was just my husband and I. We were promptly seated and we felt safe. Our waitress was very nice, knowledgeable about wine, and helpful. All employees were abiding by the mask rule and we saw them wiping everything down as people vacated their tables. The bathrooms were very clean. I hope this puts everyone at ease if you are considering going here. We started off with wine. But, you should know that they have a full bar with quite a vast array of liquor and the bartender was making craft cocktails. Out waitress asked out wine preferences and we let her choose some stuff for us because we wanted to try some new wines. She recommended a great wine from Uruguay for my husband that is a Tannat, but drinks like a cab. It was really good. I wanted a pinot and she brought me a nice pinot from Willamette from Walker Scott. We had a cheese and charcuterie platter. We chose all 4 available cheeses (this probably changes often - but we had Manchego, Gouda, a triple cream cow's milk cheese, and Blue Cheese) and fennel salumi. The platter was great and the accompaniments paired nicely. My husband had a 2nd glass of the Tannat and I chose a Beaujolais. We ordred the Duck Confit and I had the Mushroom Risotto. Both tasted amazing - we would order them again.. We had the Zepolles for dessert. They were fresh and tasted so light. Given all that has been going on Root & Flower exceeded expectations. We hope to return soon read more

Great great great atmosphere. We got what felt like was a secret password speakeasy table in "the back" of the restaurant. We enjoyed an amazing cheese plate, sharing a fab cab (because that's what you eat with cheese). We also had a beer and cider each to go with our apple donuts. The beer and cider were great the apple donuts were a bit over done. I'm not sure if that just the way they are, or if maybe the oil had had it for the night.that was the only meh of the night and even then it didn't matter. The whole experience was worth a return trip on the same weekend! read more

Favorite drink spot in vail before or after dinner in vail village. All the people that work here are friendly and kind. They make awesome cocktails. Ambiance is great! read more

My cocktail was good, but it was overpriced for what I got. I also asked my waiter for a sweet drink, and he recommended a cocktail that was definitely not what I was looking for. Overall a good place but not worth the hour long wait. read more

Definitely the spot to go to in vail. Solid food all around. We had 3 people: one app, 3 small plates, and a dessert was perfect. I would recommend the cheese plate, mushroom bread, and the steak. Go here, not bol and whatever. read more

Amazing cocktails! Nestled in the corner with a great selection of nightcaps and the service was great!

Small and intimate place in Vail Village. Fantastic selection of wine, cocktails, and small plates.. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I asked for a taste of a Red Pinot. It wasnt my favorite so the bartender asked what I like in a wine. He said I got something in mind and brought me back a sample. I immediately loved the wine and said I'll take a glass. Much to my surprise he already had it poured and ready knowing i was going to like it. That's a great bartender read more

Exceptional tapas and wine bar with arguably the best service, best educated and best chef you will find. Great cozy spot for apres ski cocktails. Servers were fantastic and the drinks were tasty.

Such an incredible selection of drinks! The bartenders are super hot the drinks are cool. Oysters are fresh and delicious. Our server JD was the best I've had in months.. words can't describe. Definitely coming back for the every rose has it's thorn - I'd give them 10 stars but yelp only accepts 5. read more

The ultimate Apres ski spot in Vail Village!. Gently tucked away amidst clothing and souvenir shops sits Root and Flower. We were warmly greeted at the door and the rest of our awesome experience continued once we were seated. The entire staff was knowledgeable about all facets of the menu from food through cocktails. The only reason no one person stood out is because they all worked together to provide quite the memorable experience from suggesting food to waking us through the spirit menu. As wonderful as we found Root & Flower to be it is NOT kid friendly. We Oysterswill most definitely be back!!!!! read more

Food and drinks were awesome. Only downside was entree sizes (which are sold as small plates so can't really complain). Great location and atmosphere! Owner and or Proud host accommodated a vegan meal which is always nice. Great place! read more
