Came here on a Saturday to grab a pup cup of brisket for our good boy. Ray rays has no inside dining but it does have about five or six picnic tables. One side of the BBQ hut has walk up ordering... the other side is drive thru. There are three or four parking soots plus one handicapped spot on the side that has walk up ordering. Service is friendly and usually quick. Today a big order came before us so there was an under ten minute wait. Not a problem. The food is definitely worth the wait. Their Jamaican jerk chicken is outstanding. As is their brisket. Mmmmmmm Get in the car and give them a try. Bring your dog! You will have a happy pup!

The food here is excellent; so much so that I'm keeping the bookmark to make sure I come back the next time I'm in the neighborhood.  All the meats I've tried thus far have been deliciously juicy and tender.  One of my favorites from my first visit was the brisket; it's succulent and rich with a taste that's so good it will always leave you hungry for more!  Tip: Portion sizes are all large, especially the sides.  While you might find it tough to save room, if you're a dessert person I recommend both the peach cobbler and the Reese's Pie

All great. Collards Greens, Jerk Chicken Sandwich.

All that ordered was brisket. 3/4lbs. The drive through worker asked for a tip. Is that crazy? To me it is. It's a drive through, you are doing your job. Taking 30 seconds to cut meat and hand it to me. How much of a tip do you think you should get for that? Also as you can see in the picture. The meat is dry. Not very good brisket at all.

The meat sweats pack is the way to go. A little of everything

I'm gonna hate myself for writing this, but City BBQ who? Ray Rays has the BEST BBQ in the city. Just like you would do it on your smoker if you knew how. The Ribs, burnt bits, brisket ....even the sausage is smoked just right and FULL of flavor. Only thing missing was a gallon of sweet tea and corn bread.

    So excited!!!

The meat was so so so so great! Love it so much! The service was very nice and people there were very friendly. They only do drive through so don't expect here as a dine-in place. There are some parking and some grass if you want to eat in the car but I always take the meat home. It was a good truck a few years ago but now it's a house with easy drive through. Great place to go!

Jerk Chicken; Baby Back Three Bones; Pit Baked Beans; Scratch Mac-n-Cheese - A takeout meal includes smoked barbecue ribs with a glossy sauce, fried fish topped with pink pickled onions, and two cups of sides—baked beans and macaroni and cheese—placed on a weathered wooden surface. The food is served in black foam containers, with the fish and ribs in separate compartments, and the sides in paper cups.

I haven't get BBQ in awhile and happened to pass by Ray Ray's Hog Pit. For this location, you can order either drive thru or from the walk up window. They do have couple picnic table on the side for you to enjoy to eat outside. I do like the Baby Back Ribs with the Carolina BBQ sauce. The meat is very tender and charred. As for the Jerk Chicken, it is moist and I love they paired it with the pickled cabbage.

I only tried brisket this time. I used to visit the food truck on North high years ago and the owners opens up a freestanding location. 5 stars for the good times of the past. 4.5 stars for the brisket although in Florida, a customer is asked if they want the point or the flat and, like Wielands, xan get a little au jus. Brisket was excellently smoked and flavorful

Cole Slaw - A person with dark skin is holding a white disposable cup filled with coleslaw, which includes shredded cabbage and carrots. The background shows part of a plastic container with more food and some foil-wrapped items, suggesting a meal or takeout setting.

I'm not sure what the hype is but this place was hugely overpriced & disappointed!! My ribs were "cold"! The greens were extremely hot but tasted like the canned Glory greens! Yuck! The coleslaw was...I'll just KFC's is better! The jalapeño bbq sauce was tasty. First & last time there! One star for the food & another for the very nice young man that took our order! Don't waste your time & money!

The atmosphere was modern with a southern twist. I'm not going to lie, I chuckled a bit when I noticed my water glass said "Bless Your Heart". In Appalachian culture, this is actually an insult. We had a large group, but the service was excellent. Very friendly, attentive, and everything was brought out timely and correctly. My food was really good! It was brunch time so I had coffee, the "Mimosa of the Moment" which was an apple cinnamon, a biscuit with blueberry preserves, and the Southern Shakshouka. All were fantastic and I would definitely get again. I also thought the price was affordable for the quantity.

I started with a specialty sip cocktail - an Orange Cinnamon Bun Old Fashioned, and ordered 3 apps since they were half-priced for happy hour. The Biscuits for a Cause (2 with butter, jam and honey), Fried Pickles (chips with ranch), and Famous Fried Green Tomatoes (I don't normally like goat cheese, but these are served with stone-ground goat cheese grits) were all fabulous and I had plenty to take home after trying all. I had a glass of red blend wine with my entree, which was the Pan-Seared Salmon. My two chosen sides were the mashed potatoes and fried okra. The salmon was perfectly cooked; it was a great dish. I also got the Rosemary & Parmesan Breakfast Potatoes to go to have with my breakfast this morning. The service, food and atmosphere were all very enjoyable. The manager also helped out bringing food, and checking on me. I would return for another meal.

We actually got to the restaurant a little bit early and they ended up seating us outside, which was perfect. For food, I had the fried chicken sandwich with french fries and mac & cheese. My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich as well, so we each got a different side. The chicken was perfectly cooked without being overly greasy or oily. The french fries were delicious, and the macaroni and cheese was heavenly. Our server was very friendly and intensive to our needs. I felt like our food came out very quickly. Everything tasted fresh and balanced, the chicken was seasoned well, and the mix of greens, corn, tomatoes, and that dressing all came together really nicely. It was one of those salads that actually feels like a full meal, not just something you grab on the side. The inside was quiet I went in just as they opened I believe. Service-wise, it was just alright. My server wasn't bad, but they were in the middle of a team meeting, so I was kind of left on an island for a bit waiting on things. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, though. Overall the food carried everything and I'd still call it a good visit.

But I do remember is one of them combo But first thing first, the two ladies behind the counter is really nice and friendly, I love dealing with an adult instead of those younger generation that don't care for their customers, just show up for their paycheck, if you know what I mean. Lady that serving me asked if I need some suggestion or help for recommendations, very nice and friendly. I ordered (once again I can't remember the name). The sandwich itself is very good, came with side of fruit as you can see on my photo, like I mentioned before, is a good healthy lunch, not too big of the portion. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because couple of my grapes gone bad, they should have checked and take them out before serving to the customer. I ordered them Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and macaroni and cheese and I also ordered the meat sauce and spaghetti and garlic toast. I had never heard of sweet potato cobbler so I had to give that a try. One thing that I noticed as I was carrying my bag to the car I noticed that the container did not feel warm. When I got home the food was barely warm so that tells me that I did not receive hot food in the first place. Anyway I just popped the food in the microwave when I got home. The Salisbury steak and the mashed potatoes were delicious. The macaroni and cheese was mushy (it had plenty of cheese, though) but I guess some people like their macaroni noodles overcooked but I prefer my noodles to have a some chew to it. The container with the meat sauce and spaghetti was so heavy, but when I opened the container it was like a pound of spaghetti and just a cup of meat sauce which made the meat sauce almost disappear when I mixed it all together. What I should have done was remove some of the spaghetti noodles before mixing the meat sauce. None of the food was hot just look warm. I have had other carryout food from other restaurants and even traveled a longer distance to get home, and the food was still hot when I got home, so that just shows that this food was not hot in the first place. I wanted to try their catfish but they did not have it so I just opted for One piece of whiting to get an idea of the seasoning of their fried fish, which was fried well. Lastly, the sweet potato cobbler was extraordinary! I will definitely return to this restaurant so that I can try the liver and onions which they only sell on Wednesdays. The customer service was excellent.
