I found them at the Juneteenth festival and obviously had to try something. The rib tips and fries were quite good - I liked the seasoning on the fries a lot, and the BBQ sauce was nice. I usually like it with a little more kick, but overall this was a great meal for a perfectly reasonable price, with good service.

I have always heard go to the Reynoldsburg one it's better... so when my friend made reservations…read moreat the piano and I was a little concerned. I don't know why it was. We had an excellent meal there. Atmosphere is really cute. What kind of cabinet like a lodge -exposed walls. It's very woodsy feeling. We came here as a party at five to send off our friend to Maryland We started with pretzel bites. The forst batch came out really brown. They looked over cooked. They didnt taste great. We had a new batch put in. That came out just as disappointed. Would not recommend these to anyone. Save your calories. We also learned we came on all you can eat rib night... Which we didn't know was a thing. I'm letting you all know it's a thing and it's a good thing!!! For $25 (which is less than the normal rib meal) You can eat all the ribs you want and get two sides! That's quite a bargain- come hungry. The ribs honestly fall off the bone they're so tender and they're not slathered and sauce. They do have some sauce on them, but the sauce is perfectly seasoned and it doesn't feel like you need any additional sauce also is an excessively sugary which I really like I was quite surprised as I'm not a big huge rib person. I would get the ribs again. Id pay full price for these ribs too. They were legit good. You get two sides with this meal. I chose a salad and a baked potato Well, I chose poorly- both the salad and the potato were actually good. However, the salad was huge and I was full after eating it. I shouldn't of ordered the potato. Its bery basic. I should've ordered the green beans. The green beans are crazy good!they give you a lot. they're also super fresh, delicious and seasoned... I know this because my husband got them and he focused on ribs -so he didn't eat his green beans, which meant I got to eat them later when we got home. Nom nom nom nom. They have a shrimp pasta carbonara which my friend ordered and holy smokes is that huge and delicious looking. She says that and the chicken parm are amazing and her go to when she doesnt get ribs. I will definitely be back Hickory House. Thanks for a great meal and a great evening.

Very little fat, which I really appreciate and the baked potato w/ sour cream, to my delight the sour cream had chives in it, nice surprise. * *Accompanied by a cold pint of Sam Adams. What a perfect evening. Only one thing I would change if that would be the lighting on the table, perhaps a lower watt....way too bright.

I'm the only one there, but everything is ready. I like that. The place is really nice, all their tables are very big, since I'm the only one there, they seated me but damn....thats a table of 4, even tho the table is big enough for 6, so you can imagine I'm by myself, I'm like a little Mickey Mouse in Grand Canyon National Park. lol If you haven't been to Grand Canyon, you should go. Wait...the minute!!! Focus here... Anyway, even tho I'm the only one at the restaurant, the server still very nice, and pay more attention to me, you know how sometimes servers don't pay much attention since is only one table, not here. All you can eat like $19 and change, order it on the menu, and within 2 mins, they will bring your food to your table I always love hot pot, check out some of the photos, delicious. Yum! I drive by here at night before, this place get super busy, but lunch time don't seem much, I guess weekend a little more busier Overall, 5 out of 5

There are "flames" at the tops of the walls separating the booths that give the place a warm and welcoming yet cool and trendy vibe (safe to touch - it's just fog and lighting tricks). Child-friendly as well. Service: attentive server who was checking on us frequently. He did seem like he was running around quite a bit, but he was hardworking and friendly. Food: There are AYCE hot pot and Korean BBQ options available here. They have a pretty large menu to choose from, including scallops, mussels, a variety of meats and veggies. Their spring rolls were a tasty appetizer to add to our feast. The buffet section also had a tasty crab salad, kimchi, and a variety of desserts to choose from. There was an ice cream cooler with vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate hershey's ice cream to enjoy. One unique aspect was the sauce station - you can still DIY your sauces, but jf your creative side needs a little inspiration, they have recipes to make your own sauce. The house special shacha sauce recipe was my favorite.

You walk in the door and it smells just like heaven if heaven was an amazing barbecue place. Keep walking forward and you can enjoy the historic walls and wood floors and when you get to the counter, they know all the stuff. You can try your stuff, but if you need some advice, they got some good ones. We got a sampler, drums, and a brisket sandwich. They have some delicious barbecue options from spicy to very velvet, smooth and sweet to the Kansas City mustard style. The people were friendly they were efficient. They got us exactly what we ordered, the service was great. The price wasn't too bad either Certainly willing to return here. This is some yummy stuff.

I visited with a friend for lunch, purchased the recommended selection, and we sat down to eat. and boy did we eat! But, despite my best efforts, I was not able to vanquish all the food that was on my plate. Wow. I placed all the leftovers in it to go box and it made two meals for later, I was quite surprised. The food here is delicious and I found it to be quite the bargain. Definitely coming back for more. There are lots of barbecue restaurants in Columbus, but Smoked On High truly stands out as exceptional.

We also had a couple bottles of wine at the table, which were good as well. For appetizers, we shared oysters, meatballs, and shrimp cocktail. All of them were good, but the meatballs were my favorite. For my entrée, I ordered the prime rib. It was a bit saltier than I would have liked, but the sides helped balance it out. I really enjoyed the corn and mashed potatoes, and I also added mushrooms and onions, which helped offset the saltiness. In hindsight, I kind of wish I had ordered the filet mignon, as I suspect it wouldn't have been as salty. The bread at the beginning of the meal was also really good. Dessert was a standout--I got the turtle cake, and it was huge. It's definitely the best value on the menu. Three of us shared it and still couldn't finish it, though that may have also been due to the amount of food and drinks we had throughout the night. The food did take a while to come out, but the service remained good the entire time. We expected dinner to wrap up around 7:00, but we started at 5:30 and didn't finish until about 8:30--there were 16 of us, so it was understandable. Overall, a solid experience, especially for a group event.

You receive a free dessert if you're celebrating a birthday. I would HIGHLY suggest the Mud Pie -- Graeters vanilla, chocolate, and coffee ice cream with brownie chucks on an Oreo crust topped off with honey roasted peanuts. It was almost the size of my 9yo son's head! We also got the chocolate cake and coconut cake (fan favorite). The chocolate cake is served with housemade caramel and is a very deep rich chocolate without being overly sweet. It goes perfectly with a cup of black coffee. The coconut cake is like a vanilla cloud with a hint of real coconut flavor - not that nasty sunscreen taste you often get. The cake pieces were also very large. Kevin was our server, and he was so amazing! You can request him upon arrival, and he will give the Ratatouille experience where you have images of fireworks as he explains the flavor profiles of the various dishes or desserts. We started out with onion rings and meatball appetizers. The meatballs were delicious and came with 4 pieces of toasted slices of baguettes and a dollop of marinara sauce. The onion rings are enormous! They were good; however, I would say the most lack-luster part of the meal. They are served with a side of regular ketchup -- an aioli would be a nicer tough. My husband and I got ribeyes, my sister got the lobster bisque and Caesar salad, and my son got a kids rib meal (very large portion!). Everything was cooked to perfection. The lobster bisque was warm, creamy, and had a little kick to it. The ribs bbq sauce was a tiny spicy, so you may want to request it on the side for the kiddos. Our steaks were melt in your mouth perfect. The twice baked tomato was both crispy and creamy all at once. The overall feel of The Barn is a little more formal than most places; however, people were semi-casually dressed. You don't have to feel like a suit and tie are needed, but I would be shocked to see anyone in shorts and a tshirt as well. Apparently they have an amazing Sunday brunch. Kevin told us about it and at this point, I trust everything he says about food and drink! Speaking of drinks, if you are a bourbon drinker, The Barn has a special blend of Woodford where a team goes down to Kentucky and creates a special blend just for The Barn. My husband said it was so smooth and delicious. While on the top of the Cameron Mitchell chain in both quality and price, it is well-worth stopping in -- even if it's just once in your life. My 9yo son is already dreaming about going back for his very own steak
