Paid 27 dollars for a 2 meat plate with double brisket, what I got was two chunks of cold un-tender meat that genuinely ruined my day. I had only heard good things and was looking forward to this for the last couple days and all my hopes were crushed when I came here to be served what I got. Genuinely the worst brisket I've ever had I can't believe I spent 30 bucks on this I'm so disappointed.

City BBQ is one of my go to places when I dont want to cook. I feel their BBq is decent. Quite frankly their chicken is great and they will do without sauce if you ask them to. The place reminds me of a country cabin as the walls are done in pine (shiplap?) planking. Service once was excellent here but now Id say its fallen a bit. The Hamilton road crew is much better. Today we stopped by for pickles and a free cobbler. I belong to their rewards program and every once in a while they give members a freebie: ie- a free cobbler or cake. Nice perk This locations refrigerated bakery case was broken so I decided to not purchase anything and drive off to Hamilton Rd.

Delicious food. Great service friendly atmosphere last minute I decided not to cook for Thanksgiving and then it rolled over to Christmas at City Barbeque was able to get us together at a great price.

Arrived at the Gahanna location at 8:20 pm, I'm looking at the website and sitting out front of the restaurant which states it closes in 30 minutes..... but it's already closed. When somebody drives out of their way for dinner and the facility closes early it's very inconvenient for the customer. Not to mention - disappointing

This place is solid. City BBQ is your usual BBQ type of place - you order a lot of meat, get some sides, find a table, get some sauce, and stuff your face. This place delivers on all levels. The brisket and pulled pork were really nice - voluminous, perfectly spiced, and just darn tasty. The pulled pork was a hair dry as is usually the case, but the sauce fixed that up easy. The sides, such as the cornbread, were equally delicious. There's apparently an app for this place that offers some sort of first time customer discount - I'd check that out before coming, if only for the discount.

The layout features a dedicated bar section and a separate dining area, plus they offer outdoor seating for warmer weather. Since it was quiet when we arrived, we were told we could sit anywhere. We chose a booth, though I did notice the seats were a little dirty and the side of the table was sticky. However, our server was very sweet and friendly. Our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering, and the portion sizes were very generous. We were a party of 3 and ended up ordering the Cheeseburger, which came with fries and coleslaw (I definitely recommend this), Cajun Melt, which comes with fries but I substituted it with sweet potato fries (note: there is an extra cost for substitutions). Also, we ordered the Cheese Steak, which also came with fries and coleslaw. Everything tasted great. I really can't complain about the food. If you are in the downtown Gahanna area and looking for a casual spot with good food, definitely check this place out.

I got the chicken Philly and would not get it again because it is grilled chicken slices on a sub. I felt like I was eating very dry sliced chicken for the most part. My husband got the bacon cheese burger and thought it was juicy and flavorful. My daughter got the Italian flatbread and it was a super thin piece of pita. She did not particularly enjoy it. My other daughter got the kids grilled cheese and gave 2 thumbs up! Ticket time is excellent as we were here for maybe 10 minutes and everyone had their food even with a super crowded restaurant! As for the drinks, the beer was cold and the mixed drinks were strong.

Really well done. For dinner went with the steak and enchilada. Was a bit worried because they didn't ask for steak temp but wow, wow, wow great dish! Steak was fantastic and what a great combo with that cheesy enchilada. Had to get a cookie from what I over heard from others. Couldn't decide between praline peanut butter or the chocolate chip so got both, why not, I'm here a couple nights. Which one was better? Both were awesome, guess you will have to get both to decide.

The restaurant was very nice and huge with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I decided on their ricotta banana pancakes with a side of sausage and coffee. The coffee is self serve which was nice and they just give you a mug after you pay. So unlimited refills! Yes! Our food was brought over by our nice waiter which made sure we were taken care of so that was nice. The pancakes were very fluffy and light and were topped off with banana slices. The sausage on a side plate was super tasty. I could taste the pepper and rosemary seasoning and it was very juicy. The coffee was very good and I served myself another hot cup! I would definitely come back!

Just never made it back up to this one specifically. I remember good drinks and good food. Me and my significant other just got the Ruby Mule Mocktail, they were wonderful! The ginger was refreshing! It was my last day with the kiddos, I have them the back Half of the week. My oldest had their first Homecoming the night before so it felt like a good time to go to a familiar place to share a good meal. You see, we are...well we have various neurodivergent diagnoses, I wont disclose the others' but I am what my evaluator considered level 1 autistic, and ADHD. So familiar places, with familiar faces is important to us. I was super pleased to see the manager recognized me and shook my hand. I told him my legal name, blah, it felt gross lol, but that is why I go by Ohnnie now lol. I was happy to show off how big the children have gotten! And the Server, Sarah, no notes, she was nervous after the manager shook my hand. More nervous after the food runner didnt seem to know we were on the spectrum and thought our clothes and some of our behaviors were not normal, I mean we were all coloring and unmasking over brunch, they were playing some of my favorite songs, it was nice. The manager noticed and educated his reports on serving neurodivergent guest and it was kinda impressive really. Amazing job guys. I did not taste my oldests gumbo, but he ate until he was full. I think he held back for the event at the school we were going to later. I think he really liked it, and my partner's shrimp was delicious, she just wished she ordered something more filling. Out of everything I tasted the most enjoyable bite was my youngest's Creme Brulee French Toast, we let him order the larger portion, he's getting bigger, he did not hold back for the event later lol, he ate as much as he could. At the event he was hugging me the whole time until we sat down for a bit lol! I dont blame him it was perfect! Beautiful plating, and of course...bacon! And now the complaints...we forgot to use our scratch offs he gave us when we first got there! He said they were celebrating their anniversary I think? I honestly didnt hear the specifics lol but will just have to go back for our free dessert and $5 off. With our AuDHD we would probably forget and pay for them anyway lol. We will be back sooner than 4 years this time for sure! Four years is too long.

The place is all atmosphere bustling with servers and clanging in the kitchen. The noise can be a bit intense so if you have children bothered by too much noise that may be a concern. We decided to return to L&G's for my birthday recently after not having been back for awhile. The menu had changed quite a bit, but I remained hopeful. I also noticed that there were now bathrooms in the dining area, and previously you had to walk through the kitchen to get to a restroom. I have to admit I kind of liked taking a look back there and having a good excuse to do so. So cut to present, and the food. We ordered the Pera Noce Salad to start. It was one of the best salads I've ever had. The caramelized pears were delicious and slightly sweet and went perfectly with the port wine vinaigrette. Honestly the salad I would return for any day. I ordered the Rosa cream pasta for my entree. It was very good, but there wasn't much that was exciting about it. It was a well prepared dish, but just didn't have a wow factor. I would definitely go back and try another pasta dish and order the salad again. I do have to point out one thing I found odd. It seemed that they were serving frozen garlic bread. I am no chef, but it seems odd to me. In a place that has built its reputation on delicious freshly made from scratch dishes I feel like there should be a scratch made fresh bread. But I am a sucker for good bread. Other than that I have to say this place is wonderful! Some things to keep in mind if you plan to go are the noise factor, and the very cozy accommodations. It's small guys! But good news...In summer months they do have patio seating!
