That big round donut on the building.
Cor V.

It is almost high noon and we were driving on Harbor Blvd when I saw the giant circle of a donut on the building. The lovely missus has been here before. Randy's Donuts!! We must stop and get some for an afternoon snack. We enter the store and see a display case with layers and rows of colorful morning sweetness. It is a challenge for sure. The lemon coated and the plumpy round Raspberry filled were her favorites. I'm going for the mound of an Apple Fritter. It was an easy sale for the friendly gentleman behind the counter. The missus got her purse out and she paid a very fair amount for the fresh and large tasty donuts. It was a big box that we carried out. Randy's Donuts was a super stop for huge "Texas" size snacks and that sugar coated Apple Fritter was exactly what I needed this afternoon.

Got donuts and a drink. Both were good. I love these donuts. Way better than Dunkin and Krispy because they take days to get stale. They are very soft and the price is great. Took 2 stars off because I didn't like the dude at the counter and he didn't ask if I was rewards and said it's too late to get them; Maybe next time.

Donuts made me the person I am today!

It's incredibly handy to have a drive-through donut place. Really like the freshness of Randy's donuts and the staff are very helpful. The prices are on the high side, but also their donuts are pretty big, so I do want to recognize that. Please note, they do not sell iced tea. Iced coffee, yes, but no iced tea.

Greeted upon entering and wasn't sure if the taste would be the same as the other locations but it was and so yummy! Randy's donuts are high quality and the best maple moist but yet slight fresh crunch of a donut that other places just cannot replicate. The staff was friendly as I took my time to choose 3 dozen donuts for a party. The location is quite new and clean. It even has a section to sit and enjoy your donuts and coffee.

You won't believe how excited I am about this place! We were in the area, so we just had to stop and grab some donuts. We ended up with six donutsand let me tell you, everything about this spot was fantastic. The ambiance was great, the service was spot-on, and the donuts? Incredible! They're definitely bigger than what you'd find at most donut shops, and the pricing reflects that, but they're absolutely worth it. And the roasted coffee was out of this world -- truly outstanding, good flavor. Plus, there was plenty of parking, and the whole establishment was super clean. If you've never tried them, you absolutely must give them a try! You won't regret it.

First time at this location. I haven't been to a Randy's in many years and it was the Original in Inglewood. Nice selection considering it was laye in the morning. Donuts are fresh and tasty! The staff, Arts was very friendly and welcoming. This location isn't close by but I go to Costa Mesa at least once a month. Definitely will go again!

Huge thanks and shout out to RD at Randy's Donuts. Appreciate the generosity and genuine care you have for the community.

Huge shout out to RD at Randy's Donuts in CM. Super appreciate your generosity and genuine support of the community. Best post game victory celebration.

This was the first Orange County location for Randy's, the LA donut shop, but since its opening, there have been a couple more that were opened up here in OC. It's definitely a great donut choice with lots of options. My favorites are their old-fashioned buttermilk, and Apple Fritters. They are the best over anywhere else!

Honestly, there's nothing really special here. Your local mom-and-pop serving doughnuts in pink boxes probably makes tastier ones. But Randy's glazed and yeast-raised is always fluffy一 just the way I like it. Their Costa Mesa location has a 25 foot doughnut on the roof to pay homage to the original Inglewood shop. They also have a drive-through. Choose from a large variety of classic choices, deluxe doughnuts, fancy fritters, and premium pastries. The menu is pretty consistent over the years, but I saw they offer matcha drinks and boba now. Chocolate Raised and Maple Raised are also two simple and sweet options you can't go wrong with. The dough is kind of bready, but not dense at all. Butter Crumb Raised is heavenly but messy to eat, fair warning. Pick up a box before you visit the office or stop by for a late-night snack!

The goods

For our first time being at a Randy's donuts, we were pleasantly surprised my husband really liked the maple long john! He usually says the frosting is too thick at other donut shops, but Randy's is perfect, haha! Their General Manager, RD, was so friendly and accommodating with offering his recommendations. We will definitely be coming back for the churro donut!

I found Randy donuts while I was going to another restaurant. Stop by and order a chocolate chip cake donut. I ordered it through the drive thru. The donut was delicious and very soft. The service was great and the staff were very friendly. Drive thru ambiance is very customer friendly.

Our guilty pleasure. Yum!

Just left Randy's drive thru and from the first impression to the last, Nick was phenomenal. His professional funny personality was so welcoming and just so fun. My husband and I just wanted a Texas donut to share so we popped in and we were so happy we did. He said something we've never heard before. . He said, "do you want the evidence?" Meaning the receipt. So witty. Fyi- we're coming back, and if he gives us the same great service, we may try and recruit him.

(Does anyone work anymore!? ) The longest I waited was an hour but that was 3 weeks after opening. And I can tell you, as long as you have the time it will be worth it. The overall aesthetic is coastal cowboy meets rustic modern. There is a ton of seating with a great outdoor patio. Parking in the back is pretty slim, so your best bet is street parking. You can either get lucky or park around the block, depending on the day / time. My absolute favorite coffee is the Hawaiian Cowboy. It flavor profile is a nutty tasting honey that's refreshing yet not overly sweet. You can actually taste the espresso without it being too powerful. This coffee is worth the wait. Their other drinks are also good, but this one takes the cake. They have a pretty expansive food menu as well, so it's much more than "just a coffee shop". And you can't forget about their baked goods. O M G. It's from a local bakery (sift bakery) who makes the best non basic treats around. Salty horse found its place at the top of my list in a very saturated coffee market.

At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! It's right next to colorful barrel fountains, and on a sunny day it honestly felt like the perfect coffee outing. The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. The parking however, was VERY filled during this time. The line was huge for a 11:00am on a Friday morning. I am notorious for chugging my iced coffee but this was absolutely delicious. A sweet, subtle honey sweetness taste and the creamy oat milk was divine. My manager's Spanish Latte was so much better & I will be getting that next time! We bought our other coworker the Strawberry Matcha, which we did not try & we were worried after the fact because it did not look like it had strawberries in it, but she confirmed it was very tasty and tasted the strawberry! The outside seating areas in this outdoor area was very cute. Lots of fun art, the directory was creative, the CD tunnel was the coolest part! We also walked over to the breakfast burrito place as well. This seems like a nice area to come and relax and just people watch and enjoy a delicious iced latte from Nook.

I ordered a large hot Spanish latte and chose a chocolate croissant from the pastry case. I declined having the pastry warmed as the chocolate gets melty and gooey-messy all over my hands.
