This wasn't the best choice for a Saturday night dinner. I'm not a big fan of red meet and unfortunately cannot eat raw food for medical reasons. Went to Ramsays with my husband and ordered the crab cake, Brussel sprouts, and eton mess for desert. The wait staff were excellent, friendly, attentive. The crab cake came with a small salad and was the star. The Brussel sprouts were uneatable due to the very strong vinaigrette they were soaked in. Shared the blueberry eton mess with hubby. It was enormous and too sweet. We eat about 40% and took the rest to go. The seating was comfortable, but the atmosphere had a loud bar vibe. There was very little that could be done to shield patrons from the repetitive drum noise. read more

The server was great! He explained the menu the concept etc made great recommendations! We ordered Cesar salad crab cakes and the parker rolls (must try!) to start - all were phenomenal! Main course i ordered filet mignon ($59) son ordered scallops ($59) I turned 50 so he'll with it- I also ordered lobster tail ($99) the steak and scallops came out first which was weird. Then 3 mins later sides Mac n cheese (best ever!) then finally the lobster which for me should be the star of the show. Well- it was over cooked AND Barry lukewarm. TBH it wasn't even room temp. I normally NEVER send back food but had to. My son's scallops were also cold but he's so damn happy just to be here and get this great experience he just ate them. But when he cut off a couple portions and gave to me, They weren't even hot! The second fire lobster was better but the curry sauce wasn't it. Keep it simple w warm melted butter w garlic lemon juice on side. Curry overpowered and i only tasted it twice for good measure. Lastly i asked for the manager to give feedback. She came over at first smiled and then turned off inside. Just blank stare as if she's just waiting for me to shut up and say thank you for the feedback and keep it moving. First time visiting this restaurant. The ambiance was beautiful, very moody and intimate. Jennifer our server was outstanding and made our experience so enjoyable. She did not rush us through our meal which gave us time to enjoy each course. You are so fortunate to have her on your team. Phenomenal service! We started the evening with a Martini which was delicious. I had the scallops which were amazing along with carrots and Brussel Sprout. Jennifer recommended crispy and we loved them. It was a Saturday night and there was not enough waitstaff for the amount of people in the restaurant. Our waitress completely forgot about us and we were unable to order a second bottle of wine as a result. Also, there seems to be no sommelier. There were multiple bottles of wines that were in the hundreds and thousands and it seemed odd that there was no sommelier. If there was one, we didn't know who it was. Service was great food was good the beet salad was absolutely delicious. HowEver my meal, beef Wellington, was served lukewarm. My husband is disabled the waitress indicated a place we could park his scooter a few moments later a man who I assume was in management came rushing over yelling at us to move it and that couldn't be there that was a little disturbing. The tamarind wings taste like my friend's kitchen from 1995. This season on them taste like a can of raviolis. Wow this was bad. Table setting was haphazard and no side plates. I hate having the fork I put in my mount on the table they just wiped that wiped who knows what else.... Service was casual, no polish or check ins. Even to ask hos it's food was? Unless you count "how you holding up?" when almost done as a food checkin. Asked about allergies - we said "celiac" and he recommended "Beef Wellington" & the $70 pot roast. Both have wheat. Per their menu. Tomato salad - hard, flavorless winter tomatoes. Caesar - gristly pork and so much dressing, the Romaine lost any crisp. Halfway through salads, they asked if we wanted any pepper.... Brussels sprouts were limp and overcooked. Tuna tartar was unremarkable. Thai salmon was mushy and the sauce, nothing special. The only thing that seemed "Ramsay" was the $19 toffee pudding. Then again, hard to screw that up. So we have never been to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant but we're big fans of Gordon. This was a special occasion for us as we don't usually spend this kind of money on a dinner. We came for their valentines menu and splurged and did the wine pairing with it. The butternut squash soup was DIVINE. My only wish was that there was more or some bread to soak up the rest! The crab cakes were also very good! The beef Wellington definitely lived up to its hype! However the potato puree that it came with was ice cold :(. That was disappointing for the price point, but I didn't want to send it back because it was so so busy and it took so long just to get my plate anyways. Husband got the duck, and the flavor was lovely but the duck was a little dry. The potatoes his came with were the star of the whole dish. Which also again, was a little disappointing for the price point. The wines served with our entrees were great! But it took so long to get our dinner plates that we barely had any to actually enjoy with our meal. We tried very hard to nurse it. They also didn't do full pours. I'm sure it's because it was a "tasting". Desserts were red velvet profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding. Both great but the toffee pudding was a clear winner! The wine they served with it was a dessert wine, which makes sense but it was sickeningly sweet. Would have rather had another glass of the Champaign they started us with. So we didn't drink our last glass. Overall, the experience was nice! We're glad we did it. But it kind of makes me a little queasy knowing how much we spent for it though. And for that, we likely wont be back. But I always encourage anyone who wants to and is a fan, to give it a try! read more

We wanted to try the new restaurant for variation in the Row and left very disappointed. However, I want to preface this review and say that the manager did do everything she could to make it right, and we couldn't have asked anything more from her. We started with the crab cake and a ceasar, followed by the 16 ounce porterhouse, seared scallops, and a side of roasted brussel sprouts. The crab cake was good, full of crab meat. The ceasars salad was average with a good potion. However, when the porterhouse and scallops came out, both were cold. After taking a few bites, we decided that eating a cold steak was not ideal, especially at the price point of this restaurant. We let our waiter know, but didn't say anything about the scallop (not wanting to complain about everything). They took it back, apologized, and remade the steak for us which tasted a lot better. The scallop tasted basic, it may have been better if not cold. The brussel sprouts were good with chunks of pork belly bacon. However, after the long wait for the second steak,, the dining experience was kinda ruined. In addition, when the main entrees first came out, we had to ask for steak knives, they didn't bring any serving utensils for the side item. I ordered a club soda that never came. Brought the mom in for dinner one night. I had the Sunday roast which is prime rib, roasted potatoes, roasted carrots and Yorkshire putting. The madre had a filet with creamy mash. We also shared the crab cake. everything was so flavorful, the restaurant staff was very accommodating to my mom with her allergies and she said it was the best filet she's had. The prime rib had a huge fat cap on it but none the less was good. We share the sticky toffee pudding and the strawberry eton mess. The Eton mess was so light and airy with the meringue, one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. We left very full and very satisfied. The only downfall was when you're paying a good amount for food, hearing the slot machine attendance every 5 minutes was annoying. We will def be back to try the other things. read more

My husband made reservations here for our 24th wedding anniversary we showed up on time we're probably seated in a quiet part of the restaurant. It wasn't very busy so that was great. We had two weight staff. They were both very on top of their game all night, making sure that our water was filled and bringing our drinks right away. We both shared a beef Wellington we had never had one of those. It was great. We would probably order it again, but they were small side so we could've each ordered our own. We had the potato purée which is great the bread, of course was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the roasted carrots, and my husband said that the crab-cake was delicious to me. The star of the show was of course the sticky toffee pudding. I could have that every single day I've had it them other restaurants and it always taste the same, no matter which place I've been The drinks that we had were also very good. It is on the expensive side so while it wouldn't be my every day steakhouse, I would go there for special occasions. Beautiful atmosphere as usual in a Ramsay restaurant & great staff. Food on the other hand was a bit lacking. The potato purée missed seasoning, and the eggplant plant that comes with lamb chops are like biting airballs of oil. The wings on the other hand were some of the best, the Thai salmon was different yet paired perfectly. With all that in mind, and tasty drinks & sticky toffee pudding I gotta give a 4/5 but this is closer to 3.7. read more

We have dined at quite a few Ramsey restaurants - and this one is by far the worst. It was so underwhelming for the price. We were sat and it took over 15 minutes to be greeted. Another server came over and asked if we had been helped, we said no, and the server said to us he thought our server was unaware our table was in his section, and he had to go tell our server to come help us. So, the visit didn't start off well. We ordered sliders, 2 Wellingtons and macaroni and cheese. It honestly wasn't great. Everything needed salt. We've ordered the Wellington at 3 different Ramsey restaurants in Las Vegas, and they were a 10. These Wellingtons were so mediocre. They lacked flavor. For almost $70, you expect to be wowed. My husband said the word underwhelming, and it took the word right out of my mouth. The macaroni and cheese was so awfully bland as well. It's unfortunate to have Ramsey name even associated with this restaurant. I wish we could have gotten a refund or have eaten somewhere else. We were sat out on their patio casino level, and it didn't make for a great romantic night because it was so busy with passer Byers walking by constantly. This place is a pass in Reno. read more

We were there January 7th, and had an outstanding meal! My husband and I shared the butternut squash soup and beet salad first, and both were excellent! I had a filet with I believe a green peppercorn sauce that was SO tender and perfectly cooked, and my husband had the lobster and short ribs.....both were SO tender and flavorful! We were very excited to experience a Gordon Ramsay named restaurant. His meticulous style and demand for perfection is what compelled me to come despite the extremely high price tag. The food was pretty good but definitely not worth the money. I ordered a $179.00 porterhouse steak and it came to me lukewarm and undercooked. I was still able to enjoy it because it was a high quality steak, but it was maybe a 7 out of 10. The service was a bit slow but acceptable. For the money I spent I expected more from a name like Gordon Ramsay. In conclusion, the food was good, the waiter was nice but service was average, and the atmosphere was nice but the overall the experience left more to be desired. All things considered, I would give a better rating if the prices were more reasonable OR if the name on the restaurant was not Gordon Ramsay. I've been to Hells Kitchen in Vegas several times. Ramsey's Kitchen I. Reno is almost as good. Little bit more casual. Service is good, but does not rival the technical expertise of Vegas. Our salads arrived simultaneously with our main courses, a feat of culinary timing that could only be described as a cosmic accident. Our mains seemed like the kitchen had a game of musical chairs going on, because every dish was served to the wrong person- an issue only identifiable after digging in & discovering my medium-rare steak had had clearly been served to partner whilst I ate a rubbery well-done steak. When we politely pointed out the mistake, the waiter seemed more annoyed than apologetic. It was as if they'd been personally offended by our suggestion that the kitchen might have made a mistake. When we got seated our server took our drink order and came back explaining the menu. It had several similarities of Hell's Kitchen menu but so much was different. Don't tell Gordon but this is my favorite restaurant of his (sshhhhh). Everything we ordered was delish and we finished it with strawberry tart (no we did not get the pudding). My bf and I have been to Hell's kitchen in South Tahoe several times and we LOVE the lobster risotto, so we thought we'd try the lobster tail. Sad to say we didn't love it, but happy we tried. Just not impressed. I think Chef Ramsay has extended his reach too far and lost the love in the cooking. The service was friendly and personable. The prices (for a bottle of water even) were outrageous for the quality. The dishes were lukewarm and either too seasoned or underseasoned. The presentation was pretty, but for me the flavor is what counts. It felt like they were trying too hard to impress with the presentation and didn't pay enough attention to the balance of flavors and cook time. We felt the same way about the Tahoe location.
