Service was kind, & I loved the romantic feel of the room. Sad to say I was a bit let down by the flavor. Not by the sliders though, those were absolutely delicious! They were a little dry, but overall the taste was great. The steak was cooked perfectly. I personally wasn't a fan of the potatoes; I felt they had a bit of a gummy texture which was hard to get by. The fresh baked bread and butter was great! They had a small mocktail menu which was great and helps everyone feel included in the party, so I was extremely grateful! Really hard to correlate any of these positive reviews with what we experienced. It wasn't just one thing... there were so many issues, it just became laughable. The starters arrived about 45 minutes after we ordered; or I should say most of the starters came out. Finally after reminding our server that two more starters hadn't arrived yet, they finally did about 10 minutes later, when all the other starters were consumed. Then the main courses and sides started to arrive. I ordered the Filet Mignon, medium rare with a truffle topping. What I got was an extremely dry piece of meat that was tough and smelled like ashes. I've never eaten a steak in my life that didn't at least have a few drops of juice oozing out of it when you cut into it. Two other steaks in our group had the same issue, just pathetic. I also never got the Brussels sprouts I ordered after telling my waitress twice they hadn't yet arrived even though she kept telling me they were on the way. To top it off, one person in our group never got his main dish until the rest of us were finishing ours. The only highlight of the meal were the much delayed Beet Salads, which is ironic since that's the only thing that didn't need to be cooked. This was a complete disaster of a meal on so many levels that there must some kind of systemic issue with how this place is managed. Otherwise, you can't have a breakdown like this. I think if Gordon Ramsey paid them a visit, it wouldn't be pretty and he should be embarrassed to have his name associated with this place. read more

Highly recommend the Sunday roast, which was juicy and flavorful with a perfect Yorkshire pudding. I had the chicken Milanese, which was also nice, great sauce with Dijon mustard and cream, and a sprinkling of arugula. My tomato soup was decent, but not hot enough to warrant the lidded cast iron pot it came in. They brought the desserts from another table while we were still eating our entrees. So, we asked them to box up our entrees and bring the menu. The cranberry orange Eton mess was bizarre. It's usually a parfait, but this was a giant bowl of cranberry orange relish left over from Thanksgiving with some whipped cream and broken meringues. The cheesecake that they brought before looked normal lol. Also some confusion about who our server would be in the beginning and taking our water order. The manager made the rounds halfway through the meal asking how everything was. That seems to be the extent of his job description. Not bad service, but a bit chaotic. Made a reservation for Valentines weekend (Sunday) and I would say eating this place a 3 is a little harsh but 4 is too good for it as well. I'd rate it a 3.5 due to these reasons: the crab cake was a little dry and they let the hot plate sit under the heat lamp with a small salad on it before the crab cake was done. Therefore the salad was warm and not as refreshing as it could have been. The beef Wellington was just okay. Compared to ones I have made it was subpar. The steak part was great and melted in your mouth, the crust wasn't as crispy as it should have been, and it had a lot of olive tapenade in it making the whole thing taste dark/burnt (so I scrapped it out). The mashed potatoes under it/to the side was cold already making us think they plated it and didn't leave it under a heat lamp as they waited on the steak to be cooked. The lobster was good, the risotto al dente but didn't stick together like it should have. The Valentine's Day profiteroles were disappointing. It's like they let the ice cream sit before delivering so it was half melted. Same thing happened to the toffee pudding ice cream, half melted before delivered but very much loved the taste of the toffee pudding itself. Unpredictable, the first time we went there it was perfect. The second time the same meals, veal chop and Filet Mignon. The veal chop was awesome the first time and bland and smooshy the second time. We went to Ramsey's for a friend's birthday last night.I have to struggle to even even consider that is was fair. When asked if we were celebrating a special occasion the response after revealing our friend's birthday was nil. The food I will admit was good .The service was unfriendly, indifferent, and disorganized. We asked to split two salads and you would think we had asked them to reinvent the wheel. This review is for Ramsay's kitchen in Circus circus, Reno. I am not sure why it's not showing up on yelp. I am a big fan of eating at Gordon Ramsey restaurants since I used to live in Las Vegas, and this one is one of my least favorite. We stumbled upon this place while we were visiting the midway at circus circus for my daughter's 3rd birthday. The place ambiance was nice and intimate. We came with 4 years old and 3 years old kids and a little disappointed that they don't have kids menu but it was not a big deal since we can always find something else for them. We ordered Parker roll and mac and cheese for the kids. They love their food and the food came out fairly quick. We ordered roasted baby beet salad, crispy eggplants, butternut squash soup, everyday Sunday roast, pan seared scallops, and crispy skin salmon. Roasted baby beet salad had overpowering taste of horseradish. The problem was with the entrees. It came out over 30 minutes after we got the salad and food for the kids. The place wasn't busy since it was on Monday night and I am not sure why it took so long especially since the entrees we ordered should not take long to make. Crispy eggplants was crispy but was a little bit oily. Nothing extra ordinary about the other entrees. We got a free sticky pudding dessert for my daughter's birthday. With the price that they are charging for each dish, I expected more out from the dining experience. I would say skip this restaurant when you are in Reno. Celebrated our anniversary here. Made reservations and got seated promptly. My girlfriend is lactose intolerant. We got the crab cake and pork sliders. Crab cake was meaty but they put way too much sauce on it. Sliders were ok but a tad dry. For our mains, she got the Sunday roast and I got the beef Wellington. The Wellington was way smaller than the one in Hells Kitchen Tahoe. Disappointed by the portion size. The Sunday roast was good, but was not a fan of the Yorkshire pudding. Never had it before but I guess it tasted like a crispy omelette. We got a complementary sticky toffee pudding and the portion is surprisingly small compared Hell's Kitchen Tahoe. I wish there were dairy free dessert options. Hell's Kitchen Tahoe offered sorbet at least. The service was good, but our drinks took a long time to come out. Wish I could have had my wine when the Wellington's came out. The server assistant Jake was very attentive. First off, the service from start to finish was phenomenal. Every one of the staff was excited to be there and that made the ambience feel good. Our waiter, Brandon was amazing. His recommendations were on point; from the starters and drinks, to the desserts. The food was very good and well seasoned, but I need to warn people that it's very light on the serving size. But what the food lacked in size, it made up in taste. We ate everything and the strawberry dessert was delicious. I would recommend two starters, two soups or split a large salad, a main with sides and a shareable dessert to go home full for a party of two. Came for my birthday and enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal and outstanding service! Being in hospitality in my previous life, there's a couple things that really stood out from a service perspective-- the recognition of special events in a genuine manner was the biggest. Everyone from the hostess to the food runner mentioned it, and never did it feel forced which is actually hard to do! Now for the food--everything was incredible. We had the Wellington, chicken Milanese, Brussels and mac n cheese. The proteins melted like butter, and the mac was SO creamy. My only nitpick was that the potato puree was like translucently thinly spread, which seemed a little ridiculous, and the compressed carrot (and I think parsnip?) was icy cold and really off putting. The surprising highlight of the meal was the dessert. Honestly most birthday desserts from places feel like throwaways and usually are just kind of meh. NOT SO here -- it's literally a contender for the best dessert I've ever had in my life! It was the sticky toffee pudding, with a moist mild spiced cake and a sweet fresh caramel drizzle. We were there January 7th, and had an outstanding meal! My husband and I shared the butternut squash soup and beet salad first, and both were excellent! I had a filet with I believe a green peppercorn sauce that was SO tender and perfectly cooked, and my husband had the lobster and short ribs.....both were SO tender and flavorful! Went to Ramsays with my husband and ordered the crab cake, Brussel sprouts, and eton mess for desert. The wait staff were excellent, friendly, attentive. The crab cake came with a small salad and was the star. The Brussel sprouts were uneatable due to the very strong vinaigrette they were soaked in. Shared the blueberry eton mess with hubby. It was enormous and too sweet. We eat about 40% and took the rest to go. The seating was comfortable, but the atmosphere had a loud bar vibe. I was actually very disappointed the fish and chips. I would give a five out of a five the lobster and shrimp I'd give it like a 2.5. The server was great! He explained the menu the concept etc made great recommendations! We ordered Cesar salad crab cakes and the parker rolls (must try!) to start - all were phenomenal! Main course i ordered filet mignon ($59) son ordered scallops ($59) I turned 50 so he'll with it- I also ordered lobster tail ($99) the steak and scallops came out first which was weird. Then 3 mins later sides Mac n cheese (best ever!) then finally the lobster which for me should be the star of the show. Well- it was over cooked AND Barry lukewarm. TBH it wasn't even room temp. I normally NEVER send back food but had to. My son's scallops were also cold but he's so damn happy just to be here and get this great experience he just ate them. But when he cut off a couple portions and gave to me, They weren't even hot! The second fire lobster was better but the curry sauce wasn't it. Keep it simple w warm melted butter w garlic lemon juice on side. Curry overpowered and i only tasted it twice for good measure. Lastly i asked for the manager to give feedback. She came over at first smiled and then turned off inside. Just blank stare as if she's just waiting for me to shut up and say thank you for the feedback and keep it moving. First time visiting this restaurant. The ambiance was beautiful, very moody and intimate. Jennifer our server was outstanding and made our experience so enjoyable. She did not rush us through our meal which gave us time to enjoy each course. You are so fortunate to have her on your team. Phenomenal service!
