    Maggot on broccoli

Before today, I would have rated them higher. Unfortunately, this will be my last time ordering. I placed an order for three items today, and one of them--the chicken and broccoli--contained a maggot on one of the broccoli pieces. I can't even fathom eating the other two items, I am utterly disgusted.

This restaurant is a hidden gem, my wife wanted sushi and I was looking for some good Pho. This place has amazing customer service, a beautiful ambiance from the outside you would never even know how beautiful it is inside. The music is a great upbeat vibe and they even had the football game on. The pho was exceptionally taste and made my soul feel warm, the sushi was great. My favorite appetizer the crab Rangoon did not disappoint. If you ever on this side of 2920 this is a must try restaurant, I was absolutely impressed all around. The pricing is great for the portion of food that you receive! Great job RaKuu owner and staff. We will be back!

Since hurricane beryl happened I haven't had any great food until today. Their sushi was amazing. I am not a great fan of raw sushi, but lord the genseki sushi that our server recommended was bomb it felt like the tuna melt right on my tongue. Big shout out to our server Samantha A. She was super helpful with her recommendations and very attentive 10/10 !

Food and service is amazing.. what sucks is that a table of 6 or more is auto charge gratuity.. but the 18% is charged on food plus tax. So if you go be aware of this on the ticket we brought it up to the management they sent the waitress back to speak with us....but they didn't seem to care so now we will order food and take out of we are a part of more than six and avoid the tip all together and tip delivery person instead.

    1. Service - I can't recall our waiter's name. But the young Korean man that served us was nice and friendly. We would totally come back because of how we were treated. If we return, we would definitely ask for his service again. Hopefully he will still be there after this Pandemic. 2. Price - very reasonably priced. Sushi was about $5-$12 a roll. 3. Ambiance - it's elegant in there. It feels like a contemporary lounge and a sports bar in the same time. Family hang outs are welcomed. Although, it's also romantic in the same time for dates. Dress code is casual, although, on a Friday night, some people dress up a bit to go here. 4. Food - Im so glad that there is sushi available up in Spring, TX. I don't have to travel into town just to get sushi. I recommend their SPIDER ROLL, CATERPILLAR ROLL, and TIGER EYE ROLL. Sashimi here is fresh and good also. I usually stick to the common ones at most sushi places, unless it's their signature rolls and people rave about them. 5. Cleanliness - dining area as well as water closets (restrooms) are quite clean.

Best Japanese or Asian food in Spring hands down. Great vegetarian options, sushi is amazing and some of the best ever fried rice I've had.

When we arrived for dinner there were several diners, but it wasn't overly crowded. Plus, it was happy hour...perfect timing. Our waitress was very helpful with helping us decide. We finally decided on the baked mussels and fried calamari from the happy hour menu. Our main course was the deluxe platter. Absolutely amazing. Some of the pieces on the platter are chosen by the chef. The platter consisted of salmon, yellowtail, tuna, sea bream, and red snapper -- the sea bream took the show! Very robust flavor! The red snapper, a close second. Everything was so good. Very fresh selection. Can't wait to visit again.

I got green tea for a beverage. Finished with a mango sorbet and a mud pie. The meal started with salad with ginger dressing and onion soup. The dressing was fine, and I prefer onion soup to miso, so we were off to a decent start. The teppenyaki show was pretty basic, some fun stuff but not particularly advanced. Shogun's teppenyaki is all seasoned mainly with teriyaki sauce. All of our food was a bit overdone, not a lot but enough to notice. Vegetables were fine. We got the fried rice, which is more fun since it's prepared in front of us, but it was just fried rice and eggs and ended up very sticky. I didn't eat much of mine. The yellowtail roll was ok, the flavor did not jump out but it was good with soy sauce. The sushi was also just OK, the flavors kind of run together. Not a lot of crunch for a crunchy roll. We got our shrimp appetizer last because one of our party had a seafood allergy and they do the shrimp separately if you ask, which is good. The shrimp were prepared just right. The mango sorbet was probably the best thing about the meal. The sorbet is tasty and it's served attractively in a halved mango. I can recommend that. The mud pie is a purchased frozen dessert but it was good. Service was fine, the server was attentive and helpful and the chef did his bit competently. The overall impression I got about the place is that it's tired. The decor is very simple and hasn't been updated in awhile--everthing is brown. The wallpaper was installed some time ago with obvious seams. It is showing wear in several places. The bathroom was reasonably clean but the urinal had flushing difficulty. What the place needs is a makeover, from the decor to the menu to the teppenyaki presentation. It's acceptable but I've had better teppenyaki in several places.

To start the server looked like he was hired "off the streets" and not presentable. Whatever happened to smiling and having a clean appearance. Additionally the drink orders were inconsistently served and we had to ask for items a few times and the "show" hadn't even started. The our chef arrives and I have my 4 grandchildren there and when you bring them you are expecting a bit of a show but our highlight was the "burned face" beginning but failing miserably on the "rice toss" and the disastrous "chop chop train" onion. Has any of the staff been trained? Maybe other tables but ours was pathetic. Sorry guys but facts are facts and even our grandkids don't want to go back!! Food quality was horrid and my salmon wasn't even cooked and I don't believe it is "sushi" grade salmon so I left it for the scrap heap which is where I'm also putting Shogun on my list for future visits. Good quality sushi rolls & pretty interior I went here for…read moredinner with my dad and ordered a couple speciality rolls, ramen, and some calamari as an appetizer. I found their selection of specialty rolls to be very unique and was delighted by the quality of the fish. Furthermore, the rolls were very generous in size and included a lot of fish. Definitely would come here again to try different rolls and their sashimi! - Pink lady roll (4.7): I ordered this roll because I was intrigued by how many different fish were inside (tuna, salmon, white fish, shrimp), and was surprised that they all ended up working well together. All the fish tasted fatty and fresh and the shrimp added a nice chewy texture that the roll needed. This roll was quite hefty with a generous amount of each ingredient and every bite felt so satisfying. Definitely order this roll if you like raw fish! - Yuzu tuna roll (4.4): This was a well rounded roll. The yuzu was pretty strong and gave the roll such a refreshing and bright flavor. I also loved the addition of red onions which added to the fresh taste. The tuna on top was so red and beautiful, and the spicy tuna inside had a nice kick to it that lingered afterwards. - Spicy chicken ramen (3.6): This was a pretty good chicken ramen. The broth was very flavorful and savory with a hint of sesame. The toppings were all cooked well and the noodles were nice and thick. My only complaints would be the chicken was on the drier side and there wasn't any spicy flavor at all. Also the portion was a bit on the smaller side, but overall still very enjoyable dish. - Crispy Calamari (3.6/5): The calamari was well seasoned and crispy on the outside. Most of the squid wasn't too chewy and was a pretty good texture overall, but there were a few that had a more rubbery texture. Service/ambiance: the service was really good! Our server, Sunny, was very patient and helped answer all of our questions. The interior was really pretty with Japanese style decor and some of the booths had privacy dividers, which made a very cozy vibe.
