We've now visited Koto Sushi and Ramen three times, and each time has been such a great experience. The ambiance is calm and quiet, and the space has a clean, modern aesthetic that feels really inviting. The food is consistently excellent--our absolute favorite is the albacore tuna appetizer. We've ordered it every single visit, and it never disappoints. The staff has always been kind, attentive, and accommodating. One thing we especially appreciate is that they're happy to customize rolls--my husband eats low carb, and they'll wrap his rolls in cucumber (still carby but a better option) instead of rice, which is a huge win for us. Honestly, the only surprising thing is how empty it's been each time we've gone, because this place truly deserves more attention. If you're looking for affordable, high-quality sushi and ramen with great service in a relaxed setting, this is definitely a spot to try. We'll absolutely keep coming back!

    1. Service - hostess and waitress are both very kind and attentive. Order and pay at the table. 2. Price - $6.45 a regular sushi roll at minimum. Can add up if you order more. 3. Ambiance - very cute place. Good place to bring a date, hang with friends, and family. Dress code here is casual. 4. Food - the sushi was pretty good. My favorites were their RAINBOW ROLL, EEL CUCUMBER ROLL, and their HONOLULU ROLL. 5. Cleanliness - dining area was spotless clean and restrooms were clean as well. SUMMARY: this was our first visit, I would definitely come back. If you're in the area, you should stop by and give them a visit!

We enjoyed Koto. They had a variety in the menu of Ramen and Sushi. The food was good. The service was good. And the ambiance was warm and inviting. The sushi was really good, and fresh tasting. The Ramen and the chicken fried rice was ok.

The nigiri wasn't that great. Peppered Tuna and Albacore

Overall experience was just okay. The service was great and staff were very attentive but I was on the fence with the food. The spicy ramen was good but more on the salty side. The nigiri was a miss. I saw someone post nigiri that looked delicious so I ordered it but the quality and flavor was not there. Next time I'll try a roll instead but this time it didn't Work for me. Hope to try it again one day. The restaurant is clean and nice. This will be more 3.5 but will give 4 due to kind staff.

    Honolulu roll, delicious!

It looks like this place is just now opening, happy to see it, we need a few more sushi options out here. I am really liking the looks of the menu, and so far the staff is really helpful . It took me a few minutes to narrow down the sushi I wanted, again, a lot of choices. I finally decided on the Honolulu roll. What a great decision ! This roll was perfect for me and my tastes. I can not stand the taste of seaweed, and this roll is already offered in pink soy paper, I couldn't be happier. I was really hungry too, so I thought I would have no problem eating all of it, but as usual, I was not able to finish it despite the deliciousness of it . Everything about this restaurant, from the service to the menu, and even the decor and music is pleasing. So yes, we will absolutely be back !

This is one of those places where you don't want the word to get out because it'll become too popular. I downloaded yelp just so I could leave 5 stars. Lowkey I want this place to stay my little secret but, the quality made me create a review. Let's talk about the ambiance. The restaurant is clean, smelled good, and very inviting. They have tables set up as shown in the picture and went on to decorate it for the holidays, which have a cute and cozy vibe. Lots of pretty, traditional decoration and plenty of pretty lighting. We got seated pretty fast and our waiter didn't take long to attend us. Now, let's talk a little about the eater. The water tasted clean like it's been filtered . Most places I've been to have tap water that tastes like metal/tap and I don't like it. I'm water bougie (for any of my kin out there) and this water was great! So, off to a great start! We ordered the Ninja Roll, Truffle Roll, and Snow White Roll .. Holy moly!!! They tasted so good!!!!! I was ready with a big serving of soy sauce just in case I need to drown the sushi in it but, the flavors were so delicious that I hardly touched it. The fish was fresh and didn't have any after taste/smell! The flavor combos were giving authentic Japanese sushi with a twist of playful luxury, and the size of the rolls?! Between my friend and I (who are massive foodies), 3 rolls was enough! Each bite had us going "mmmmmm this is good" while giggling and doing a lil happy dance. I literally can't wait to go back and try everything on their menu. This place is a whole vibe ya'll! Definitely check it out but

We really loved the new addition to our neighborhood! The food had great flavor and was fresh. The uni was good but also leaned a bit more on the briny side. The scallops were fresh, but I wish the sauce was a bit more complex. Will definitely be returning!

5/5 stars, come to this place!! We were here opening day since we live right near here and have been 4 times more. The people are so friendly and always serve us quickly. Quality of cuts of the fish is insane for the price, so worth it. It's VERY clean, cute and perfect casual or nice date night if you'd like it. Sitting bar side is nice to interact with the chefs. Recommend chef's special truly! They explain their choices and have so much pride in their work.

The latest addition to the Asian food scene in Spring is clean, shiny, and beautiful in decor and design. Service was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and personable. What I love about this menu is that it marries a robust sushi offering with ramen for ramen lovers. I'm not a fan of ramen, but my family loves it. We can come here and everyone is happy. We started with the Beef Negi-Maki, which was delicious, as was the Gyoza. The Karaage was "okay" and could have used more spice and a better/more generous crust on the chicken bites. Mom enjoyed the Japanese Crispy Spring Rolls. I thoroughly enjoyed the Chirashi in freshness and flavor! The others had three different rolls and said they were delicious. However, the one who ordered the Ramen said it, too, was "just okay" and could have used a deeper flavor. For dessert, we had the Green Tea Ice Cream Sandwiches and the house made Crème Brûlée, which was excellent. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying other dishes.

Started with Chicken Carrage for an appetizer. Ordered the Koto Roll, Flying Dragon Roll, and my ultimate favorite... Toro Nagiri. All the food was really good. The bamboo ambience is beautiful. Staff is friendly. We will definitely be back.

UPDATE: I came back here with my friend to celebrate her birthday and it was a-ma-zing. We ordered an assortment of nigiri, the tuna flight, and several appetizers. The tuna flight was out of this world!! I highly recommend!!! Is such a great price and such great quality of fish, some of the best I've ever had. And do NOT skip out on the salmon carpaccio, it's amazing. I do hope though that they do not change their menu anymore, as I've notice they already have since opening. I hope they do not get rid of these delicious items!!

Great ambience, super rich, Ramen, broth, attentive service, loved our waiter, Chec. I can honestly say it was one of the best robins I've ever eaten. My husband, my daughter and myself all agreed.

At my most recent visit, our server, Jennifer, had such a great attitude. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and gave helpful suggestions without being pushy at all. Though Jinya is known for their ramen, I actually prefer to order their rice bowls! The Pork Chashu is my favorite item here, and their Tokyo Curry Rice is amazing too. But at this point, I haven't yet gone wrong ordering anything else off the menu. - Ambiance: 5/5 - Food: 5/5 - Service: 5/5

I got the black tonkotsu ramen ($17). The price was okay, the portion was okay, and the ramen was okay. The whole thing was mid. Later, my friend told me that Jinya the "McDonalds" of ramen shops and I should have gone elsewhere LMAO The "black" means that it had black garlic oil in it, but for some reason, there was not enough of that garlic flavor for me to justify calling it a "black" ramen. I don't know if the chopped garlic wasn't toasted enough or whether the amount of the black garlic oil was too little, but it wasn't garlicky enough. The broth was mild in flavor. It looked creamy enough, but maybe it was diluted down to stretch it more? I have a feeling that if you stuck the broth in the fridge, it wouldn't solidify (which is a clear indication that it's either been diluted down or the pork bones to make it weren't cooked long enough). We're in Houston, there are SO many good ramen places, so I wouldn't come back here again. Not awful, but not great, just meh.

But later in the meal I did hear her talking in the back with a man in Chinese about how a customer was complaining about a small bone in l their food. Guess she doesn't know I speak Chinese. At the end of the meal, I asked our waitress if she was the owner. She said no, quickly followed by a "the owner is not here today". Then I asked whether the owner was Chinese. The food was very good!…read more I was hesitant at first because some of the menu seemed to be fusion items. In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
