Good quality sushi rolls & pretty interior I went here for dinner with my dad and ordered a couple speciality rolls, ramen, and some calamari as an appetizer. I found their selection of specialty rolls to be very unique and was delighted by the quality of the fish. Furthermore, the rolls were very generous in size and included a lot of fish. Definitely would come here again to try different rolls and their sashimi! - Pink lady roll (4.7): I ordered this roll because I was intrigued by how many different fish were inside (tuna, salmon, white fish, shrimp), and was surprised that they all ended up working well together. All the fish tasted fatty and fresh and the shrimp added a nice chewy texture that the roll needed. This roll was quite hefty with a generous amount of each ingredient and every bite felt so satisfying. Definitely order this roll if you like raw fish! - Yuzu tuna roll (4.4): This was a well rounded roll. The yuzu was pretty strong and gave the roll such a refreshing and bright flavor. I also loved the addition of red onions which added to the fresh taste. The tuna on top was so red and beautiful, and the spicy tuna inside had a nice kick to it that lingered afterwards. - Spicy chicken ramen (3.6): This was a pretty good chicken ramen. The broth was very flavorful and savory with a hint of sesame. The toppings were all cooked well and the noodles were nice and thick. My only complaints would be the chicken was on the drier side and there wasn't any spicy flavor at all. Also the portion was a bit on the smaller side, but overall still very enjoyable dish. - Crispy Calamari (3.6/5): The calamari was well seasoned and crispy on the outside. Most of the squid wasn't too chewy and was a pretty good texture overall, but there were a few that had a more rubbery texture. Service/ambiance: the service was really good! Our server, Sunny, was very patient and helped answer all of our questions. The atmosphere and ambiance was beautiful. The service is great. Come to think of it...the all you can eat sushi place that I go to is usually quite busy, and I like the quietness that I get here. It doesn't have the hustle and bustle. It's just feels upper class high quality and the taste is fantastic. I had the fire island roll, NFL roll and Philadelphia roll. All three were great. This is definitely a hidden gem. I feel like I've overlooked it because I go straight to the H-E-B and never look what's left to it in the shopping center. But they did have a really good happy hour menu which we ordered different things from there. Our waitress is great. She even gave us some of her recommendations a little too spicy for my taste, but I appreciated her telling me what she liked and why. I definitely will be coming back because I saw a lot of people order Ramen and it looked delicious. My new favorite sushi place. No joke. I walked in and the place was very elegant so you would like it would be expensive but it was very affordable. Plenty of seating for large groups too. I did to go and the lady at the counter was very nice. She told me food would be ready in 15 mins but it was done in 10 mins. When I opened my bag, there was chopsticks, wasabi and ginger. Lots of it. Everything was packed perfectly. They really thought of everything. I ordered the NFL roll, yellow tail shashmi and cowboy roll. Cowboy roll was my all time favorite. Packed with a lot flavor. Loved the yellow tail shashmi too. The fish was literally melting in my mouth. NFL was good, but it wasn't my favorite. These guys are located right by a HEB. Even though HEB serves sushi for almost the same price, I rather place an order at Koto, go grocery shopping and then come get food from here. I can not wait to go back! I visited this restaurant for lunch one Saturday maibly due to convenience and thr stellar reviews. I was also able to take advantage of their lunch menu. As with many sushi restaurants, they have 2 different options for a 2 roll lunch with soup or salad. I picked the option for 1 group A and 1 group B. The group A rolls are ones mostly from the specialty roll page. Group B rolls are your basic $7/8 rolls you see at most sushi restaurants. I chose the Maki roll combo, and picked the salmon avocado roll (Group B) and the red dragon roll (Group A). I also added the appetizer, hamachi carpaccio. Hamachi carpaccio - this was a great start to the meal and set the tone for good things to come. It had awesome flavor, maybe the best version I've ever had with their sauce and oil combination on this dish. Avocado and salmon roll - very clean taste, excellent temperature, fish was very fresh. I liked how they packed in the avocado and fish into the rolll and used less rice as I'm not a huge rice eater. Red dragon roll - this has shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, crunch avocado and cucumber. I honestly didn't taste the cucumber or spicy tuna, but it had enough flavors going on so that wasn't a deal breaker. Lots of red crunch on this roll and they go everywhere all over the table when you eat it. I don't venture to many sushi restaurants in the burbs because I already have a few I like and the rest are not that good, but this one is gonna be an addition to my sushi spots in the burbs since they did ever just right. read more

It took me a few minutes to narrow down the sushi I wanted, again, a lot of choices. I finally decided on the Honolulu roll. What a great decision ! This roll was perfect for me and my tastes. I can not stand the taste of seaweed, and this roll is already offered in pink soy paper, I couldn't be happier. I was really hungry too, so I thought I would have no problem eating all of it, but as usual, I was not able to finish it despite the deliciousness of it . Overall experience was just okay. The service was great and staff were very attentive but I was on the fence with the food. The spicy ramen was good but more on the salty side. The nigiri was a miss. I saw someone post nigiri that looked delicious so I ordered it but the quality and flavor was not there. Next time I'll try a roll instead but this time it didn't Work for me. This is one of those places where you don't want the word to get out because it'll become too popular. I downloaded yelp just so I could leave 5 stars. Lowkey I want this place to stay my little secret but, the quality made me create a review. Let's talk about the ambiance. The restaurant is clean, smelled good, and very inviting. Most places I've been to have tap water that tastes like metal/tap and I don't like it. I'm water bougie (for any of my kin out there) and this water was great! So, off to a great start! We ordered the Ninja Roll, Truffle Roll, and Snow White Roll .. Holy moly!!! They tasted so good!!!!! I was ready with a big serving of soy sauce just in case I need to drown the sushi in it but, the flavors were so delicious that I hardly touched it. The fish was fresh and didn't have any after taste/smell! The flavor combos were giving authentic Japanese sushi with a twist of playful luxury, and the size of the rolls?! Between my friend and I (who are massive foodies), 3 rolls was enough! Each bite had us going "mmmmmm this is good" while giggling and doing a lil happy dance. The latest addition to the Asian food scene in Spring is clean, shiny, and beautiful in decor and design. Service was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and personable. What I love about this menu is that it marries a robust sushi offering with ramen for ramen lovers. I'm not a fan of ramen, but my family loves it. We can come here and everyone is happy. We started with the Beef Negi-Maki, which was delicious, as was the Gyoza. The Karaage was "okay" and could have used more spice and a better/more generous crust on the chicken bites. Mom enjoyed the Japanese Crispy Spring Rolls. I thoroughly enjoyed the Chirashi in freshness and flavor! The others had three different rolls and said they were delicious. However, the one who ordered the Ramen said it, too, was "just okay" and could have used a deeper flavor. UPDATE: I came back here with my friend to celebrate her birthday and it was a-ma-zing. We ordered an assortment of nigiri, the tuna flight, and several appetizers. The tuna flight was out of this world!! I highly recommend!!! Is such a great price and such great quality of fish, some of the best I've ever had. And do NOT skip out on the salmon carpaccio, it's amazing. I do hope though that they do not change their menu anymore, as I've notice they already have since opening. We have been watching this place and stopped in now that it's open. We got the tempura mix appetizer, a Negima skewer (chicken thigh and scallions), the Unagi Don entree bowl, the curry chicken Ramen, and the Yaki Udon noodles with shrimp. Finished with a green tea Japanese ice cream sandwich and a bowl of ice cream. Japanese dining is all about aesthetics so I'll start there. The restaurant is very nicely furnished, with subtle decoration and appetizing colors. The dishes also paid good attention to presentation. The ramen came with a large monogrammed wooden spoon, entertaining but a bit hard to manage. The Unagi Don bowl was beautiful, laid out in stripes with great care. The serving plates and dishes have a beautiful handmade look and are designed for what they serve--for instance, the appetizer dish had its sauce bowl built in. So a high score there. The bathrooms were attractive, clean and ready. The tempura was nice and crunchy but didn't have much flavor on its own. Texture of the shrimp was OK, the vegetable texture (onion, sweet potato, and zucchini) was spot on. It was served with soy sauce for dipping. Fine if you want tempura but not a big attraction on its own. The Robata skewers are a nice addition to a meal, under $3 for most of them. The chicken thigh on the skewer was salt-forward on the seasoning but quite tasty. There were some green onion slices scattered on top. Overall pretty good. The Yaki Udon noodles with shrimp were a little disappointing. The noodles and sauce were very good, but the shrimp were overcooked and chewy. The chicken curry ramen was a reasonable representation, overall satisfying. The Unagi Don bowl was the highlight. A nice serving of Unagi (grilled eel) with eel sauce, some seaweed salad, a pickled vegetable, and crab meat salad. The seaweed salad was as good as any--personally I think it's very tasty for a few bites, and you get a bit more than that so I was happy. The crab meat salad was very tasty and creamy. The Unagi was well cooked and the sauce was delicious. All on a nice bed of rice, it was a tasty and satisfying meal, I can recommend it. The Japanese ice cream sandwich is an experience worth having. We got a green tea one. The waffle exterior has little flavor and is a bit chewy, but it's a perfect vehicle for what's inside. The inside of the waffle is lined with chocolate and complemented the green tea ice cream really well. You should definitely get this. The chocolate ice cream is ice cream, it was fine. Service was enthusiastic but stressed. They are having growing pains, it was a pretty full house but they only had one server on duty. He was still learning as well. We had a fairly long wait for our check and our drinks (water and iced tea) were not refilled. The manager tried to help and I saw some other staff coming out front, but they were outside their lane. I think they will get better on all counts, and overall we enjoyed the evening. read more

I went here after a very long exhausting day. The ladies were very nice and friendly. The music was very calming and delightful the atmosphere was very beautiful almost as if going to a restaurant in downtown. I tried the Honolulu Roll and it was so pretty. The plating was so lovely. Well our 3rd time back, the House salad with ginger dressing was swimming in the dressing, we got a tuna roll it was dry and the rice was sticky and was stuck to the plate like it had been setting in a cooler to long. The chicken Ramen was not great the broth had no depth of flavor, chicken was big and chunky and the rest of the ingredients seemed to be just tossed together on top and the 1/2 of the boiled egg was old. The sushi roll 1) was huge WAY To big for bite size. 2) The inside was supposed to be soft shell crab but it was just a hard crunchy batter I didn't see any crab. 3) The rest of the inside is a cream cheese with a fake crab mash up 4) sushi on top was Dry and so thin it only had one side. 5) I don't know what soy sauce brand it was but it was very pungent. And the sweet tea was Way too sweet. The place was clean and the restroom was clean and well stocked. Never did get any chop sticks. The waitress was friendly and polite. read more
