First time customer. We will be back. Great atmosphere and clean. Eileen was our server. She was excellent!! Ordered hibachi. Steak/chicken & lobster/scallops. Comes with salad, shrimp, noodles and fried rice. Had edamame as an appetizer. Come hungry. They give you a ton of food

The staff was incredibly friendly and great with our young kiddos. Harry was our hibachi chef for the evening and he was amazing! We will be coming back and asking for him specifically. The food was very tasty! They had a large variety. Great prices for the quality. The atmosphere is very modern. Clean and bright and comfortable. 100/10 highly recommend.

Great sushi just great! Very well garnished, fresh ingredients. Also have bluefin tuna from Spain. Chutoro Otoro and also Akami

Another friend who experienced the same

I've been hearing not so great stories, but I've been continuing to go to Akashi because I do like the sushi. But I finally experienced my own horror story. Eating my ginger salad and thinking I was pulling a piece of lettuce out my mouth, but turned out to be a super long piece of hair! This is my first experience, but I have heard from multiple friends that they have also found hair in their roles and salads. Sorry, but this has definitely stopped me from ever going again. Would highly not recommend!

    Elegant restaurant

This is a beautiful restaurant and the food is amazing. We had the happy family and the general tso's chicken. Both dishes were fresh and delicious. We will return in the future.

The Texan Roll was one of the best rolls I've ever had.

This was my first time here, and the food was incredible, and the atmosphere was top-notch. But most importantly, our waitress, Catherin, was terrific.

This modern new place has the best structure on the inside and the amazing food, Hibachi is exceptional definitely have to try it out.

The Volcano(?) roll with scallops and shrimp

We finally tried the Akashí newly opened on 1488 in Magnolia. We're giving it a great review because the service was excellent, nice ambiance and great food. I'd highly recommend the tuna tower with its warm brown rice bottom, over an inch of tuna tartare topped with another layer of crab salad and capped with avocado and snappy fish roe. The eel sauce was perfect with a creamy aioli. It was much larger than we expected and turned out to be a perfect appetizer to share for two. We also shared two rolls- the Lucy, a large California type roll with crispy breaded shrimp and another roll ( Volcano-something?) the was also a California type roll with sautéed shrimp and scallops- both were excellent. Next time we'll have to try their extensive hibachi menu. We went for dinner and felt the prices were reasonable- All this, plus an order of spring rolls (pretty much like all spring rolls) and drinks came to around 70$

Food is absolutely delicious! I could drink all the sauces. However, service is horrible but I will keep returning regardless.

There's a separate menu page dedicated to their new broth selections including Tom Yum, Golden Chicken, Spicy Miso and so much more. They've also introduced new hot items such as Soup Dumplings, Hargau, Siu Mai, and Tempura. These small bites were perfect palate changer between rounds of hot pot. The cuts of meat for hot pot were incredibly tender and the wagyu offered was beautifully marbled. Although each slice was generously cut, they were easy to split and share with the table. One of the highlights was the self-served shaved ice machine, a refreshing and sweet treat to perfectly end the meal. Prime Beef Shabu is currently one of my favorite places to get Hot Pot. The restaurant is clean , efficient, and ideal for enjoying a family styled dinner with loved ones.

We checked in and were told the wait without a reservation for 4 would be 20 minutes but they actually seated us in about 5. Seating capacity is 98. They took our order quickly and the meats came out fast. Just in case, there are items that cost extra like the wagyu. I had the house spicy broth. I thought it was pretty good and not too spicy for me but the wife was choking with the spiciness. We normally get 3 rounds of meat at kpot but we only went through 1 round here because the serving portions are larger. I was asked about or inquire about the "member price" shown on the menu. The wait staff came by frequently to clear plates and trash.

After countless times coming, I've been meaning to make a review about this place. Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

We started with the Pan‑Fried Pork Dumplings, delicious and surprisingly filling. For mains, we ordered the House Special Lo Mein and a Lunch Special that came with egg drop soup, fried rice, Szechuan shredded beef, and an egg roll. The soup was flavorful, thick, and nicely eggy. The fried rice was good, and the beef was tender and savory. The egg roll was also really good. The House Special Lo Mein, though, wasn't our favorite. The texture felt off, and the meat was colder than the noodles, so we couldn't really eat it. For a Chinese restaurant, the House Lo Mein is an important dish to get right. Overall, some hits and some misses.

Not terrible, not amazing--just kind of there. The shrimp was tasty, the noodles were decent, but the fried rice (my favorite part!) was a real letdown. I genuinely wanted to give this place five stars, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing overall. When we first arrived, there was nobody at the front to greet or seat us, and we waited several minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Service started off decent enough, but once our food arrived, it felt like we were completely forgotten. Nobody checked on our table afterward, we never received water refills, and our server was essentially unavailable for the rest of the meal. We were also seated next to an extremely loud party that was yelling throughout dinner. We wanted to request another table because it was disrupting the experience, but our server never returned to our section, so we never had the opportunity to ask. For a restaurant that presents itself as high caliber, I was surprised that management allowed such a disruptive atmosphere to continue. As for the food, the BBQ Pork Buns and Siu Mai were both very good. The award-winning Beef Rendang was easily the highlight of the meal and the best dish we ordered. Unfortunately, the Mee Goreng and Malaysian Fried Rice were major disappointments. Both dishes had an unpleasant smell and lacked flavor or seasoning, making them very unappetizing. Another issue was finding a bug on our table during dinner. I understand things can happen, but combined with everything else, it added to an already frustrating experience. We even wanted additional napkins, but again, our server never came back to check on us. Eventually, we became so frustrated waiting for service that we got up and paid the bill ourselves. Ironically, that was the moment our server finally reappeared. To make matters worse, gratuity appeared to already be added to the bill, which honestly did not feel deserved given the level of service we received. Overall, the BBQ Pork Buns and Beef Rendang were the only parts of the experience that saved the meal for us. It's disappointing because the restaurant itself is beautifully designed and has a great ambiance, which made us even more excited to try it. Unfortunately, the poor service and inconsistent food quality overshadowed what could have been a much better dining experience.
