Don't let your first visual perception deceive you...it's all good. If you are after elegance and ambiance then check all that at the door because when you enter you are greeted by a friendly staff with a very interesting menu to share with you. A diamond in the rough and missed by many, but be one of the few and enjoy this local gem for what it is worth. The Sunday Roast special is to die for with your choice of either beef or pork and when you think you are truly in heaven you will be presented with a bill that is very, very fair. Great staff, great food, great price...what more could you ask for. Enjoy now!

From the outside this place looks a little iffy, but let that fool you. We stopped in today, largely out of curiosity. Could there be a "British" place in Magnolia, Texas? Well, yes. I'm not sure how authentic this place is, but the menu is based on Brit staples. What stood out was the deep flavors in the soup and sauces. The quality of the meats was good too. We ordered the bangers and mash, steak and mushroom pie, and the cottage pie. Service was great, staff were friendly. This isn't fine dining, but it is stick to your ribs goodness. Try this place for an adventure!

    Potato soup

My friend ordered the chicken pita and I got the Cottage Pie. I wasn't crazy about it so we switched. Pita had enough chicken for two pitas. The highlight of the meal was the complimentary potato soup. When I go back I plan to see if they'll sell me a big bowl.

Had lunch here after church today. Small stand alone building just before you get into old Magnolia heading west. My son got the fish and chips, the one called Jonahs Revenge. It was a Cod fillet at least 12" long and battered perfectly on top of a bed of fries. I was surprised he finished the whole thing. My wife had the Shepherds pie with mushy peas. The "pie" came out in a plate, meat on the bottom covered with mashed potatoes and melted cheese. It was delicious and the mushy peas were too. Turns out the peas were homemade using fresh peas, not canned. The gentleman next to us ordered the pancakes. The waitress asked him how many and he said 3. She asked are you sure bcs they are big. He said yes, he was hungry. In a few minutes she brought him his pancakes and a full bottle of syrup. The pancakes were about 10" around and almost an inch thick. The guy almost fell out of his chair. She said "I warned you" Great little find, would like to try their bangers and their curry next time

Great food. Small intimate location and didn't mind my screaming child. My kid is a very picky eater and loved all of it.

Had the "best" fettuccine- it's literally named this- and had to send it back. Pasta was undercooked, lukewarm, unseasoned, sauce, and yet hard on top for some weird reason. Honestly, the fettuccini from Olive Garden is 10x better. Even the fettuccini from Costco would be an upgrade! They did take back the fettuccini after 3 bites. I replaced it with a bisque crab soup. The flavor was nice but there were literally only 3 tiny pieces the size of my pinky fingernail in the whole bowl. Something as easy as 1/2 sweet tea and all 3 of us who ordered it sent it back bc it was over the top sweet/undrinkable. A coke was less sweet! The other meals at the table were just ok but not spectacular. For the appetizer, we had some kind of wings made of fish. These are such a hazard. They had many bones- not bad tasting but difficult to eat. The boudin balls - awful. More like a weir flavored soft meatball to be honest. I'm so sorry to be this negative but the food was not good especially after all the positive reviews..

Unfortunately, they were out of the mojito -- the one I was most excited to try. We shared the 3 Shrimp Ceviche and the Grilled Beet Ceviche. The shrimp ceviche was wonderful -- bright and refreshing. We added a bit more lime for extra tang, though some may prefer it less tart. One small suggestion would be to cut the pieces slightly smaller so they stay on the chips more easily. The Grilled Beet Ceviche was unexpectedly dessert-like -- sweet, refreshing, and the perfect follow-up to the shrimp. Service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions, while keeping drinks and chips refilled promptly. For a new restaurant, this place truly impressed. My only suggestions would be to provide a bit more chips with the salsa and to cut the ceviche pieces slightly smaller for easier eating. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit.
