Chicken breast bowl 1.14.24
Donna T.

1.14.24 This is one of those reviews that is hard to write. You want to really like it but, so many negative things add up and take away from your visit. First 2 bowls, 2 drinks and 2 egg rolls was $36.00 (For fast food)(ouch!) --- We walked in and the young lady asked us immediately what we wanted to order as we were looking at the menu. After a few minutes we ordered 1 chicken teriyaki bowl and one chicken breast bowl. Both with noodles and veggies. We also added 2 drinks and 2 egg rolls. It took about 10-15 minutes before the young lady brought us our order. (While she was still standing there)we looked at the bowls and could not tell which one was the chicken breast. They both looked exactly the same. The young lady said she did not know either and continued to just stand there. (She should have taken them back and asked the cook) They should mark the top of the lids. My husband and I just took a bowl and hoped it was the one we ordered. Both of our noodles had dried hard noodles and then some that were warm and fresh. We think some of the noodles were old. I don't think I would buy the noodles again. Maybe the rice is better. The chicken was good but not great and the veggies were a little over cooked which made them limp and soft. Oh, can't forget the egg roll. The outside was great. Nice and crispy and not greasy BUT, the inside was horrible. It was like vegetable mush. Just not GOOD at all. Would NOT buy another egg roll again! We did not eat all our food there so we took the rest home. We ate it for dinner and it was better COLD than when we first had it. Overall, this is not a place I would ever crave. Service was unprofessional. For the price we could have had a sit down meal with table service. Service = 1/2 star Chicken = 1/2 star Cleanliness = 1 star Eggroll = 0 stars Price for quality & quantity = 0 stars Noodles & veggies = 0 stars

Went to the grand opening and was blown away! The owner was greeting people and taking surveys on the food and service. I was very impressed. I've been back 3 times since opening and the food have never been anything but amazing. The inside has a good layout for fast casual food. Will be going back again for sure.

Fun time with my bestie and aunt!

Way better than when under prior management. The new owner is very nice and rad and the food tastes baller (really good.) The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed here, I was straight up vibing with my friend and aunt! Can't wait to eat here again!

Food quality and customer service has sky rocketed since the new owners have taken over. Linda and Max are amazing and super sweet and currently own another location in Cypress that is flourishing as well. Would 100% recommend giving this place another chance. It would definitely be worth it! So much cleaner, etc. AND THEY ALSO HAVE ACTUAL TERYAKI CUPS!

There's a separate menu page dedicated to their new broth selections including Tom Yum, Golden Chicken, Spicy Miso and so much more. They've also introduced new hot items such as Soup Dumplings, Hargau, Siu Mai, and Tempura. These small bites were perfect palate changer between rounds of hot pot. The cuts of meat for hot pot were incredibly tender and the wagyu offered was beautifully marbled. Although each slice was generously cut, they were easy to split and share with the table. One of the highlights was the self-served shaved ice machine, a refreshing and sweet treat to perfectly end the meal. Prime Beef Shabu is currently one of my favorite places to get Hot Pot. The restaurant is clean , efficient, and ideal for enjoying a family styled dinner with loved ones.

We checked in and were told the wait without a reservation for 4 would be 20 minutes but they actually seated us in about 5. Seating capacity is 98. They took our order quickly and the meats came out fast. Just in case, there are items that cost extra like the wagyu. I had the house spicy broth. I thought it was pretty good and not too spicy for me but the wife was choking with the spiciness. We normally get 3 rounds of meat at kpot but we only went through 1 round here because the serving portions are larger. I was asked about or inquire about the "member price" shown on the menu. The wait staff came by frequently to clear plates and trash.

After countless times coming, I've been meaning to make a review about this place. Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

We started with the Pan‑Fried Pork Dumplings, delicious and surprisingly filling. For mains, we ordered the House Special Lo Mein and a Lunch Special that came with egg drop soup, fried rice, Szechuan shredded beef, and an egg roll. The soup was flavorful, thick, and nicely eggy. The fried rice was good, and the beef was tender and savory. The egg roll was also really good. The House Special Lo Mein, though, wasn't our favorite. The texture felt off, and the meat was colder than the noodles, so we couldn't really eat it. For a Chinese restaurant, the House Lo Mein is an important dish to get right. Overall, some hits and some misses.

He gave us a few minutes with the menu, and fortunately, my colleague was able to recommend a few favorites. We ordered and the food came quickly. Rex was there for us. Drinks were never empty. He was available if we needed him, but never intrusive. The decor and ambiance was elegant and quiet. We truly enjoyed our meal. Sushi has always been solid--nothing life-changing, but consist and gets the job done. Service? A bit of a wild card... sometimes great, sometimes you're left wondering if you accidentally turned invisible. Tried the hibachi for the first time and... meh. Not terrible, not amazing--just kind of there. The shrimp was tasty, the noodles were decent, but the fried rice (my favorite part!) was a real letdown. Somehow managed to taste like straight oil with a side of disappointment. Overall: come for the view, stick to the sushi, and maybe let the fried rice sit this one out.

I genuinely wanted to give this place five stars, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing overall. When we first arrived, there was nobody at the front to greet or seat us, and we waited several minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Service started off decent enough, but once our food arrived, it felt like we were completely forgotten. Nobody checked on our table afterward, we never received water refills, and our server was essentially unavailable for the rest of the meal. We were also seated next to an extremely loud party that was yelling throughout dinner. We wanted to request another table because it was disrupting the experience, but our server never returned to our section, so we never had the opportunity to ask. For a restaurant that presents itself as high caliber, I was surprised that management allowed such a disruptive atmosphere to continue. As for the food, the BBQ Pork Buns and Siu Mai were both very good. The award-winning Beef Rendang was easily the highlight of the meal and the best dish we ordered. Unfortunately, the Mee Goreng and Malaysian Fried Rice were major disappointments. Both dishes had an unpleasant smell and lacked flavor or seasoning, making them very unappetizing. Another issue was finding a bug on our table during dinner. I understand things can happen, but combined with everything else, it added to an already frustrating experience. We even wanted additional napkins, but again, our server never came back to check on us. Eventually, we became so frustrated waiting for service that we got up and paid the bill ourselves. Ironically, that was the moment our server finally reappeared. To make matters worse, gratuity appeared to already be added to the bill, which honestly did not feel deserved given the level of service we received. Overall, the BBQ Pork Buns and Beef Rendang were the only parts of the experience that saved the meal for us. It's disappointing because the restaurant itself is beautifully designed and has a great ambiance, which made us even more excited to try it. Unfortunately, the poor service and inconsistent food quality overshadowed what could have been a much better dining experience.
