Used to order take out from here when we lived nearby. Now I only get there when I'm in the area, & I typically sit down to eat there. The last 2 times I went in, the waitress has been incredibly friendly and kind (despite me eating there alone and having a small order). I always enjoy the food there. I don't typically eat Chinese food from other places these days because I'm so often disappointed. And the prices are very affordable! My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. read more

My goto cheat restaurant!! Their water boiled fish filet, garlic pork, and Singapore noodles are my absolute must orders!! The food is very authentic and delicious! read more

Your typical Asian Cuisine. Was a bit pricey but overall portions were pretty good. Food tasted good as well. Service could definitely have been a bit better. We were a family of 5, there was already a party of probably 8-10 already there when we got there. Only 1 waiter. We definitely felt rushed thru everything. I get him juggling to handle both parties but a bit of patience would've definitely been appreciated. read more

One of my best work-lunch restaurants to go to. The service is amazing, quick orders and obviously the best of all the food. Food is great here, is done quickly, and it has the best taste ever. My favorite waiter is AJ, best waiter you could ever ask for, very attentive, very thoughtful and always with an amazing attitude. The Ambiance makes it good to come with family and friends, quiet and relaxing with music on the background, just the best place ever in my opinion. Definitely would recommend. read more

The food arrived somewhat warm , normal on a Fri night ! Special wonton soup , poorly made , no Chinese vegetables, bok choy , straw mushrooms, chestnut . No pork instead hamburger , no shrimp and very little. Chicken . The dumplings were so over cooked they fell apart! The egg rolls and shrimp tempura was so saturated when you bit in to it oil filled your mouth . The place is usually pretty good read more

Honestly Im upset I even have to write this. My fiance and my last visit was not good. He has been coming here almost 10 years and he's been taking me/ordering out frequently since we've gotten together. It's something we both look forward to. Today we sat in the restaurant and barely got service. It was not busy, there were only three other tables in the restaurant that had customers. I personally am a server at a different restaurant and would never expect a tip based off the service received. I had to go to the register to get my own check and was then watched as a filled out my receipt for subpar service. With the comment of "you're so pretty" as she's staring at the tip line to see what I put. We never got a refill, the food wasn't good. We only took a couple bites of our food. We absolutely love fried rice, egg drop soup, and lo mien, but instead of loving it we left a full Large bowl of egg drop soup, a full plate of house fried rice, and a full plate of beef lo mien. The beef was disgusting and everything was underseasoned and mushy. We will not be coming back or ordering out again. I didn't appreciate the attitude my fiance received when he asked for a to-go tea since his drink had never been refilled. read more

I ordered the Kung Pao Triple Delight with fried rice and green tea. The Kung Pao Triple Delight was listed under "Chef Specialties" and consisted of shrimp, chicken, and beef in a spicy kung pau sauce with pepper and peanuts. The entree contained plenty of proteins with diced green peppers, diced carrots, mushrooms, celery. It was satisfying, but not inspiring. The presence of vegetables and other goodies in the fried rice was almost non-existent. The staff at this restaurant are friendly, attentive, and provide very good service. The food is a solid value, so I will continue to frequent this business. read more

Mei Wei - Kung Pau Triple Delight, fried rice, and green tea. - Chinese Near Me - Magnolia, Texas

It was the service that was deeply troubling. The server was rude & condescending. He made me feel like asking anything of him was beneath him. I tried to talk to him privately away from all customers and he said, "I don't have time for you, only customers sitting down." He began yelling at me in the restaurant in front of customers, and I said "he is rude." Wish I could give a negative star, I just wanted to enjoy a moment with my 3 year old daughter today in peace, but sometimes you have to teach your children to stand up to unkindness and bullies. read more

What a great little family owned restaurant. The food was tasty and very reasonably priced. The service was awesome, the owner was so kind. He treated my toddler Granddaughter like a princess, treating her to a balloon and a toy car. I highly recommend this restaurant for families it is a good quality affordable treat! read more

Our go to Chinese restaurant got new managent and we decided to try something new. We have tried Mei Wei in our search for a new regular Chinese food fix. Although we have ordered here more than once, we are still looking. The chicken fried rice is a great choice as are the steamed dumplings. However, the egg drop soup had a strange consistency. The kung pao chicken lacked flavor but wasn't too spicy if you don't want your mouth on fire. Overall, it's good in a pinch. read more

Subpar food. Extremely greasy. We ordered at least 4 different things from the menu and the only thing that was just ok was the chicken fried rice. The Mongolian beef was some beef with a pound of onions. Won't be back. read more

Food has no flavor, service was horrible. Definitely would not recommend going to. For sure not coming back.

Me and my boyfriend decided to give a new place a try. I feel like 2 stars is still too generous. Bad service, he literally screamed at us because i changed my drink order. Was extremely rude and rushed. And the food was even worse. We both ate maybe half our meal, no box because it was not worth bringing home, and my stomach was upset before we even left. i would not recommend this place to anybody. read more

Used to be great and our go to. However recently quality of food has fallen making me look for another place a bit.

Waiter could barely speak English and refused to elaborate on questions about the menu. He also tried to make us sit differently at the table when the proportions of the table wouldn't make any sense the way he was telling us to sit! HORRIBLE SERVICE! food was decent. read more

Mei Wei? More like "No Wei". I truly hate posting bad reviews but if it helps someone else from making the same mistake then so be it. This was truly the worse Chinese food I've ever had. Keep in mind I was starving at the time (when everything tastes better). I had chicken and veggies with brown rice. The rice was MUSH. Wayyy over cooked and tasted horrible. It was so inedible, I had to sadly throw it in the trash. The chicken was like boiled rubber. No flavor. I tried to doctor it up with seasonings and sauces I had at home to make it tolerable. But it was hard getting it down. I just feel like if you can't get basic chicken and rice to taste good, what kind of place are you? read more

Never again. Rude and plays Metallica, Alice Cooper, etc. Been here about 8 times only because it's convenient but yesterday was the last straw. The male Asian waiter is a complete @ss every single time. I'm not putting up with him anymore. The food is mediocre and yesterday they had 70's rock playing. Who wants to eat to that?!! There's bars to go to for that. Ugh! So done with this place. Not ever spending a penny here again. read more

Two words. AMAZING FOOD. My family and I have been dining here for 10 years or so and the service is always amazing. The store is clean and well kept with a quiet atmosphere. The owner is always in store and is super friendly. And the food speaks for itself. It is the best Chinese food in town by far. it is a must try. We went here today before sending my sister off to college and I'm glad she got one last bite of her favorite food. read more

Food is okay. Service is fast. Waiter was quick to say No when asked if we could substitute some vegetables for the rice as one of us doesn't digest rice well. Customer service is not a priority here. read more

I have no idea why this place is rated so low on here. Our family LOVES Mei Wei!! Their fried rice is fantastic, prices are fair, portions are generous, and we've always had great service whether dining in or getting delivery. Mei Wei forever! read more

I respect a tasty, affordable, timely packaged and delivered meal. MeiWei is my go to for Chinese takeout in The Woodlands area. Staff are professional and friendly. My food is presented with freshness and is still hot by the time it is delivered to my door. My order faves include combination fried rice, hot and sour soup, beef with broccoli, orange chicken, and vegetable lo-mein. This may sound pretty particular but my favorite part of the meal is eating the fortune cookies provided with my Chinese takeout. Some fortune cookies taste super hard and aren't just a good taste overall. I really enjoy the cookies they package and the fortunes are fun (sometimes believable) to read! Haha! During coronavirus, they are taking precautionary measures to protect themselves and their customers by wearing masks, and dropping off your food at your doorstep as an option. I honestly cannot ask for a more dependable customer service from a quick, simple dinner when I have had a long, tedious work day. read more

This used to be my go-to Chinese food place, but sadly, the quality of the food and service has declined in recent months. The final straw for me was when I went to pick up a takeout order and the cashier was wearing only a lace bra as a top, and she was scratching actively bleeding sores on her chest while processing my credit card. I am still so disgusted I cannot go here anymore. With any luck, the quality of the food and service will improve someday because this place used to be great, but I simply cannot bring myself to go back after my last experience. read more

The food was very bland, not typical of Asian cuisine. The lo mein was made with chowmein noodles, cooked very dry, no vegetables, and tasteless. Even the fried rice, which is usually hard to mess up, had no flavor at all. I imagine this is what cafeteria food at a retirement home tastes like. I'm not entirely sure why this restaurant is rated as high is it is? I feel like I was completely mislead, leading to complete disappointment. If you're the type that thinks black pepper makes food spicy, and putting mustard on your bologna sandwich is exotic, then this is the place for you. read more

Open Christmas Eve- after an evening out looking at lights the fam got hungry & we tried this place as nothing was open. Our waiter was fantastic & the food was all very good. The menu is diverse from Chinese to Japanese as well as Thai. Kids loved their fried rice & Ckn Lo Mein & I loved my lemon grass curry soup but the Ckn Pad Thai was good though not great- it was a bit light on flavor. read more

I love Thai green curry. But not here. When i have gotten it elsewhere it is usually more like a soup. This was not. It was a plate of chicken with a little sauce and two huge scoops of rice. I asked for extra sauce and was told i would probably be charged extra. The waitress did return with a little cup of sauce at no charge. Wish i hadnt asked. It was gritty. Very weird texture and did not taste very good. Ill stick to my regular go to place for green curry. read more

don't get me wrong, my husband and i love this place and actually come here very often. but recently my husband went in and saw a hiring sign and decided to get the number for me. after we set a meeting and tracy (the manager i assume) told me she would send me the schedule and to come in on wednesday. i get this message. it's sad to think a place you and your husband go on dates, anniversary's, when we're down or whenever we get good news, a place you both love would turn you down because you're a "girl".. so sad. read more

Sad I couldn't give a higher rating. This is right across the street, but it was pretty awful. Pad Thai was funky. Smelled like body odor, incredibly unappetizing. Fried rice was ok. Beef stick appetizer was beef jerky's on a stick. Pork appetizer was ehhh. The fried rice and potstickers were ok why I gave 2 stars. Honestly frozen fried rice and potstickers from the grocery store are probably better. Definitely won't order again... read more
