Wouldn't order to-go from here again. Stale, dry, did not taste good... also completely forgot the ginger & wasabi.

I know it's pandemic times, and local businesses need community support... But, it's a shame when lack of quality isn't worth it to the customer. I ordered delivery from here, and small details were overlooked. I asked for extra wasabi & ginger, but instead got NONE at all. The sushi rice was cold & stale. The fish was dry & did not taste fresh. And ingredients in the ramen soup (the noodles, egg, and the pork) were extremely overcooked and had awful textures. COVID despairs are an easy excuse, but there are other restaurants in the area that still provide good food & service... This was not one of them.

Our intended restaurant was closed and this was nearby, so we rolled in to give it a shot. The menu was diverse and included udon, ramen, sushi and sashimi. Service was a little slow and the udon soup left my son a little uneasy. The sushi was fresh and tasty and the udon noodles with beef was decent.

First time here and wasn't impressed. Ordered the happy hour sushi and on all three roles, the sushi rice was literally gooey and soggy. All 3 times, the cooks (not chefs) failed to add wasabi and ginger to each plate. Really? HELLO! (Y'all need to go back to Sushi school 101.) I'm surprised the waiter didn't notice it, all 3 times. Perhaps this place has a policy of "if they don't ask for it, don't add it". Been eating at the Research Forest location for years and THEY still do it right, so I'll be heading back to them and never again to this location.

Are we the only ones who didn't know about hidden gem? We live right down the street but didn't notice until I researched the location and came in to place a to go order for my husbands 40th birthday. The happy hour specials were intriguing, and the food we saw on the patio looked delicious. So for the first time since the pandemic (8 months) we actually sat down inside a restaurant. The plan was to order a couple of items off the happy hour menu and our son could select for a to-go order. But the place was clean, only had a couple of customers inside, and the food was fabulous and too fresh to eat from a to-go box. I had to go home and pick up my husband for the proper experience. They even made the dinner accommodating for our toddler. She loved the flower garnish on her plate and the avocados were very fresh!

I just received my food and immediately noticed how small and different it looked. I order the same thing every.single.time so I am familiar with what it looks like. I called the restaurant and told them it was extremely small with hardly any fish and loaded with rice. The manager told me, rudely, that she wasn't going to refund my money. I told her I didn't want a refund I wanted it remade. She said no and told me it was a different sushi person making it. I told her that should not matter when it comes to quality. She still didn't do anything. She wad extremely rude. I paid over 50 for something the size of a California roll. I ordered the tiger roll. If you go look at the menu you'll see it's supposed to be loaded with all different types of fish, this was not. After talking to the manager and realizing they do not care what type of product they put out I decided just to eat it. Big mistake...it was so fishy I literally threw up. 1. Bad quality 2. Rude management.

This place had halfway decent sushi selection. The wait was atrocious. We ordered 5 orders of sushi and it took 45 minutes. It's a pity. The only thing that came on time which was the seaweed salad...like in 3 minutes. The place was half empty.

The best Hamachi Kama around. This dish is so well presented and the taste is absolutely amazing.

Tiny thinly cut yellowtail

We have eaten here for years. The quality of the fish is great, but see photos of how tiny and super thin the cuts are. You need new sushi chefs.

Sakekawa, eehh you were disappointing. The food presentation was nice but lacking in flavor.

All went well. The service was good, the good and the ambiance was good as well. It was quiet enough to hold conversation.

There's a separate menu page dedicated to their new broth selections including Tom Yum, Golden Chicken, Spicy Miso and so much more. They've also introduced new hot items such as Soup Dumplings, Hargau, Siu Mai, and Tempura. These small bites were perfect palate changer between rounds of hot pot. The cuts of meat for hot pot were incredibly tender and the wagyu offered was beautifully marbled. Although each slice was generously cut, they were easy to split and share with the table. One of the highlights was the self-served shaved ice machine, a refreshing and sweet treat to perfectly end the meal. Prime Beef Shabu is currently one of my favorite places to get Hot Pot. The restaurant is clean , efficient, and ideal for enjoying a family styled dinner with loved ones.

We checked in and were told the wait without a reservation for 4 would be 20 minutes but they actually seated us in about 5. Seating capacity is 98. They took our order quickly and the meats came out fast. Just in case, there are items that cost extra like the wagyu. I had the house spicy broth. I thought it was pretty good and not too spicy for me but the wife was choking with the spiciness. We normally get 3 rounds of meat at kpot but we only went through 1 round here because the serving portions are larger. I was asked about or inquire about the "member price" shown on the menu. The wait staff came by frequently to clear plates and trash.

Shogun Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar - Table-side cooking at the teppanyaki table was a fun experience for the family

We visited this location for a birthday dinner. We did teppenyaki and got steak, salmon, and…read morechicken dinners, along with a Shogun roll and a yellowtail hand roll. I got green tea for a beverage. Finished with a mango sorbet and a mud pie. The meal started with salad with ginger dressing and onion soup. The dressing was fine, and I prefer onion soup to miso, so we were off to a decent start. The teppenyaki show was pretty basic, some fun stuff but not particularly advanced. Shogun's teppenyaki is all seasoned mainly with teriyaki sauce. All of our food was a bit overdone, not a lot but enough to notice. Vegetables were fine. We got the fried rice, which is more fun since it's prepared in front of us, but it was just fried rice and eggs and ended up very sticky. I didn't eat much of mine. The yellowtail roll was ok, the flavor did not jump out but it was good with soy sauce. The sushi was also just OK, the flavors kind of run together. Not a lot of crunch for a crunchy roll. We got our shrimp appetizer last because one of our party had a seafood allergy and they do the shrimp separately if you ask, which is good. The shrimp were prepared just right. The mango sorbet was probably the best thing about the meal. The sorbet is tasty and it's served attractively in a halved mango. I can recommend that. The mud pie is a purchased frozen dessert but it was good. Service was fine, the server was attentive and helpful and the chef did his bit competently. The overall impression I got about the place is that it's tired. The decor is very simple and hasn't been updated in awhile--everthing is brown. The wallpaper was installed some time ago with obvious seams. It is showing wear in several places. The bathroom was reasonably clean but the urinal had flushing difficulty. What the place needs is a makeover, from the decor to the menu to the teppenyaki presentation. It's acceptable but I've had better teppenyaki in several places.

We have gone to Shogun multiple times over the past year and it has progressively gone downhill and…read morenot just service which was always average at best but also with the Teppanyaki Chefs and food quality. To start the server looked like he was hired "off the streets" and not presentable. Whatever happened to smiling and having a clean appearance. Additionally the drink orders were inconsistently served and we had to ask for items a few times and the "show" hadn't even started. The our chef arrives and I have my 4 grandchildren there and when you bring them you are expecting a bit of a show but our highlight was the "burned face" beginning but failing miserably on the "rice toss" and the disastrous "chop chop train" onion. Has any of the staff been trained? Maybe other tables but ours was pathetic. Sorry guys but facts are facts and even our grandkids don't want to go back!! Food quality was horrid and my salmon wasn't even cooked and I don't believe it is "sushi" grade salmon so I left it for the scrap heap which is where I'm also putting Shogun on my list for future visits.
