I needed a new protector shield on my Samsung Galaxy S3, as the one I had was pretty smudged and dirty. I bought a pack of protector screen shields (3 in a pack) from Walgreen's, went home to install it and I had a ton of air bubbles on my screen...aarrgghh!!! I can never install these shields right. Since I had to go back to Walgreen's to exchange an item, I decided to stop in at Quick Communications to see if Vanna could help me with it. Because I did not buy the item from the store, Vanna could not guarantee me that there will be no air bubbles. She meticulously worked on installing the protector shield, and voila, no air bubbles on the screen. She was awesome and I appreciated the fine job she did. DO NOT GO HERE. There are cheaper phone repair options out there that won't RIP YOU OFF!! Horrible service, even more terrible customer service, and up charges on screen repairs with cheaper after market part (THICKER screen) but tries to sell it as the OEM (THINER like factory Apple parts) better part WITH A HIGHER cost. Had an experience repairing an iPHONE screen in which the owner (Asian guy with glasses) did not stand by his labor install work, pointed blame, and threaten my wife. He avoided owning up to the bad install saying the phone is fine "that is normal" & "I don't see an issue with that" a clear indication he is SHADY, he is trying disregard his poor install, and point blame on the process replacing the screen NOT himself. He even threaten her calling her mean, angry, and have her on their camera of her being difficult. All she did was come back to ask him about the poor quality of the install, and if he can take a look at it again. TWO main issues: 1.) He charged 149 for the part and service (no including TAX). That is a up charge and he used the cheaper after market screen to pass as the OEM part. 2.) I KNOW this because OEM part will sit flush to the body of the phone and no corners will pop up after the install Having know this now, the screen issue was due to his shadiness and him being forcefully rude about it just made it more clear this place is a no no. I know because I found a place for $99 (OEM) part with labor and tax. The screen replacement looks exactly like when it was first unboxed from APPLE. The same place told me that a aftermarket for $89 at their store. The screen is a tad thicker causing.... uneven sitting onto the iphone. All in all, if you want to save money in replacing go somewhere else. This guy takes no accountability for his own failures of labor and shadiness to cause poor results. Lashes out when someone who actually pays attention to details calls him out... I don't care how "QUICK" you can repair a phone if you do business like that you will get exposed especially when you don't take responsibility! read more

When I tried to get the non stock battery replaced at the Apple Store in Emeryville they refused to do that since the battery was no longer original. I was having an issue charging my iPad when I saw that I had broken part of the cable off inside the iPad and there was no way I would be able to get it out myself. I requested a quote for this place via Yelp and the owner got back to me right away. He was able to fix my iPad in 5 mins! I was astonished. A little less impressed with this place. I have learned there are places out there that sell people 2nd source parts and/or refurbed parts. THIS IS ONE OF THEM. The Apple guys told me they were not supposed to work on a phone with 2nd source parts on it because they could break the phone. People are great, but I think they have to be because they are peddling shady parts whether they know it or not. Again, check Apple website to confirm Apple certified centers. Just like their name Quick Communications was fast and great at communicating. My message was responded to in 10 minutes and when I dropped by I left my phone for 45 minutes (a couple of people were a head of me) and when I came back he suggested that due to the issue being my logic board but no water damage that I should instead try going through my carrier or apple for a new phone under their manufacturers warranty. After performing an aftermarket screen replacement for my aunts iPhone 7 plus I had lost sound and home button functionality due to tearing the fragile ribbon cables. Louis was great and quick on helping fix the sound issue while offering up the new home button he replaced for free and only charged for the sound/speaker ribbon cable. He provided a great workaround with using touch assist as pouring more cash for a digitizer on an older generation iPhone would not have been worth it.
