I was having problems starting up my HP desktop PC and Jim came over to my house within an hour of me sending him a request through his website. He had the machine back up and running within 20 minutes, told me what was going on (old house, old wiring, was causing voltage spikes and caused the power unit in the PC and the mother board to reset), and advised me on an easy way to resolve the problem permanently (UPS Power unit available from Best Buy). Jimmi is an undercover asshole, the worst kind. I brought him my phone after it had been run over, and it wouldn't turn on. I was hoping he could recover data from it, i.e. photos, etc. He said he had seen worse, and that there might still be hope. He said it may take 2-3 days tops, over the weekend. After 5 days, I called to see what the deal was, he didn't answer, & didn't get back to me. I called the next day, & left another message. This time he called back, saying it hadn't worked yet, but to give him another few days to try. I agreed, but all the while my carrier insurance wanted me to send the old phone back so they wouldn't have to charge me for my new one. I had told him this, that it was time sensitive. After 10 days I called him again, no answer, no call back. The next day I called again, & left another message...nothing. The next day i called again, & left another message like wtf is up!!?? ..He later called back apologizing saying it hadn't worked, and I arranged to go pick it up finally. He still tried charging me $40, for "running it through some programs," or some bullshit, after he had originally quoted me at $50 if he was able to recover anything, which he didn't, and it had been damnear 2 weeks!! I reluctantly gave him all I had brought, which was $30, and brought the broken phone to another expert, who told me Jimmi hadn't done anything, only maybe plugged it in to a computer, which I had already tried & it hadn't worked. The new expert had ordered a part for it, which he said was the only way we could get any data from it. After we tried to fix it, and it still didn't work, he said sorry he couldn't help, DIDN'T CHARGE ME, and said I should write this review about sleazy Jimmi. So here it is...the truth. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and while we decided it was not worth it to repair the touchscreen, he thought hard for the best solution. In our brainstorm, he pointed out Costco, where I bought the computer, had an extra year of warranty beyond the manufacturer's. After confirming my purchase date, I can now move forward with the repair under warranty.
