I needed to deploy an in-home Ubiquiti-based network, distributed WIFI design, and AV surround audio distribution in multiple areas along with UNIFI security cameras. I presented my plans to Manny, and he provided a fair quote, and they executed my plans to perfection. I have a background in systems engineering, and I could tell right away that they knew their business. I asked for a conduit-based distribution from the external garage/studio into the local workspace and over to the main house and garden. The garage had a secure location where I placed the Unifi Dream Machine, switch, and cable modem. A primary requirement by my wife and I was NO EXPOSED cabling and a clean and tidy installation! An additional bonus was hiding a television in an existing built-in cabinet in the great room. The cabinet needed to be closed when the TV was not in use. While I ultimately made the decision to mount my TV myself, I still wanted to leave a review about this business and my experience. Of the businesses I contacted about a quote to mount my TV, they were the only that reached out to me to actually discuss the particular details of my needs, the stone wall it needed to be mounted on, and asked for photos of the mounting location. With this information Manny gave me a quote a very reasonable quote. EVERY OTHER business just gave me their hourly rate, and list of additional fee's they charge to mount TV's over 55", to mount into stone, etc... I felt like OTHER businesses didn't take the time to understand the job and just wanted to nickel and dime me for a job that I was able to complete alone in 30 minutes. I really appreciate the time Manny took to understand my job and the care he took in giving me the most accurate and reasonable quote possible. My only disappointment was he was unavailable during my desired frame (which was quite specific); but, I cannot fault him for being booked and busy! read more

They had to cut a hole in my ceiling to put one of the WAPs in and they drilled through the wall to get the cables through since I didn't have a data connection downstairs. Using Yelp's built-in request-a-quote feature on the website, Manny's company was among the 3 I wished to hear from. Manny was in touch shortly after request was submitted and in-home consultation was scheduled for the next day. I was looking to expand my home theater from an original 5.1 speaker layout (1999) to a modern day Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 setup. My livingroom is the first thing you walk into from the front door and has a 18' cathedral ceiling at the highest point. Manny requested a few days to consult and research my project, and got back to me with a reasonable quote for putting the height speakers in the ceiling. I didn't think it was possible, but he was confident it could be done in a clean and aesthetically pleasing way. Fast forward about 2wks for scheduled install day (and to receive my speakers ordered from Amazon.) Manny and his brother were very thorough, worked very cleanly, and his attention to detail was greatly appreciated. It was a full, day-long install that required inside, outside, under the house, in the attic, and the use of a super tall ladder. I actually found Hernandez AV hookup on angieslist (I think). With the great price and quality of service that Manny provides, I'm surprised that no one has taken the time to write a review on yelp! I originally contact Manny to help install a Chief projector mount for my JVC projector and a Seymour screen. Manny exhibited a great quality of service at a great price in comparison with other installers in my area. Manny assessed my request and provided feedback on what would work best for our install. Because my install required the projector throw to be close as possible while having the projector centered to the screen to maximize brightness, we determined that we needed to bridge the studs on the ceiling with a 2x4. After installing the pj and pj screen, everything was lined up perfectly! I prefer to tinker with all the settings and things myself but I know if I elected to, Manny would have been more than proficient at doing so. After enjoying the quality of service that Manny provided, I contacted Manny to build a theater riser for my second row of seating. In order to provide Manny with a challenge, I also requested that we install two buttkickers to really get things shakin'! Manny and his associate, Matt, were awesome. They took the time to explain from their experience, their strategy to maximize the result. Manny and Matt framed the riser, installed the buttkickers, wired the buttkickers and cladded the carpet. The results ended up looking great and feels even better! Manny's associate, Matt, even took the time to fix my entry door unsolicited because it was getting stuck when they were entering and exiting my house LOL. Hired Manny Hernandez off of Thumbtack to pre-wire my new home in Sonoma for cable, internet, audio and security system. He claimed that all wire was complete and ready before we put up drywall. Now that the home is finished the wiring doesn't work. I purchased several cable testers and after testing most of the co-ax cables and Cat-6 cables had no signal. The audio wire seem to be done in a very specific way that only Manny knows how it works. Total waist of money. read more

I don't know why it's taken me so long to write this review. Man oh man!!! Is there anything Manny can't do?? I originally had Manny and Jose come out to hang my tv. When I originally called to get quotes from many people, Manny was the only one that stayed on the phone with me, answered all my questions and didn't try to rush me off the phone. That's why I chose him. They did an amazing job, very courteous, down to earth and clean. I just moved into a new house and had a lot of "to dos". Manny mentioned that he did recessed lighting. Well, yes he does. And he does an amazing job! On his 2nd trip out here, he installed 6 lights and removed two. Totally opened up my living room!! And it looks soooo much better! So Thanksgiving comes around and of course- my oven craps out ON THANKSGIVING!!! I frantically called Manny!! He literally took me step by step while I was in the store and told me what I needed, etc. He came out the week after and did major cutting and installed the oven. This guy is legit.
