He took it in, told me that the virus I got was pretty bad. He kept it overnight and by the next day it was working again! I just had a major computer crash on my Samsung Series 7 Gamer laptop - after all efforts, I was unable to fix; I had a blue screen of death saying "Unmountable Boot Volume", and after this the computer would try to reset, which would bring me to a blank screen and could never launch into windows. I tried EVERYTHING (going into the settings upon computerstart up, tried to reinstall windows 10 over with a boot USB, tried going into cmd to find if the hard disk was bad, tried system restore points, etc....). I don't know why it seems like nobody knows about this place. ...Then again it is like a hole-in-the-wall kinda place, and it's in a sketchy neighborhood in East Oakland. He also included FREE anti-virus software and Microsoft Office software. He sat down with me and showed me what he did to fix my computer and asked if I was happy with it, rather just hand me back my laptop and tell me to pay him his money like every other place does. From what I remember, I've had my computer fixed at places for $100+ dollars, and they did a sh***y job. I have to admit that I was pretty worried that I was gonna scam. However, I was pleasantly surpised on great the customer service and how well Sal is an expert with computers. When I had first stumbled upon him through yelp: I did not know what to expect. He was able to diagnose the problem with my computer and that I needed to replace a certain part in my pc.
