I took it to a more savvy tech buddy of mine who upon opening it up discovered that the CPU and GPU still had the original liquid metal thermal paste. I am currently writing this review on my PC that I built, but ran into some trouble with and had the awesome Evan fix. I emailed him with an outline of what was going on and he called me very quickly. He gave me a list of things to try first, and if I still had trouble, to give him a call back. I came to Evan with a request: I installed an SSD in my 2009 iMac. OS wouldn't boot up so I contacted Evan on Yelp. He was extremely responsive and reached out to me immediately. When I explained my issue he was very honest with what we'd be able to accomplish. Rather than "upsell" me and tell me what I wanted to hear, he was clear with what I could expect. An apt analogy would be: I was trying to use my "old car" (2009 iMac) as a daily commuter, it might work for a few weeks but ultimately something would break/wouldn't work as I desired. This is a professional and reliable business. Evan consulted then upgraded my PC components allowing me to maximize performance for years ahead without buying an entirely new PC. The only drawback to this phenomenal service is that it's a 45- minute Drive from my house. I would use Evan Omo even if it was twice that. Probably even if I had to walk. I had a very old laptop that needed battered email files, 200,000 of them, transferred to a spiffy new machine. The "geek squad" at Best Buy were flummoxed by the challenge, but to their credit did not charge me after trying to do it for five days. At very reasonable cost, Evan was able to succeed where the squad had failed. I had done a fair amount of research on the problem of ancient email file restoration, and asked him how he accomplished it. "Patience," was his Zen reply. Then, he made some simple recommendations that had not occurred to me for upgrading the ancient 11-pound laptop that I thought was well beyond useful life. The SSD upgrade might take it another eight years, we figured, so it made a wonderful gift for my daughter-in-law. Windows 10 now, on a 12-year-old machine! Evan is a hot rodder. His third wonder, was cracking into the laptop of a dear family member who had died not long ago. I had been assured by brass at Microsoft, executive office people I knew from college, that this was impossible. I'm not a newbie, rusty perhaps, but I worked for IBM long ago and I've had many computer adventures since the 1970s. The only reason I would hesitate to recommend Evan is that he might get so busy that I have to wait in a long line next time I have a mystery or disaster.
