I recently started a consulting firm and, for the first time in my career, I am relying on my personal computer. Unfortunately, my computer began to slow down and became very unresponsive, which made me extremely anxious since I don't have an IT team to turn to. I found Acamar Computer Services on Yelp and decided to contact Evan based on his excellent reviews. Everything I read was accurate! After explaining the urgency of my situation, Evan was able to see me that afternoon. During the consultation, I mentioned that I was prepared to hear that I needed to buy a new computer, considering I had purchased mine in 2021. However, after just a few minutes, Evan informed me that my hardware was in good condition. He only needed to address the "software bloat" to get my computer back in order. He also assured me that once this was done, I would likely have another two years before needing to worry about replacing my computer. We spoke on a Friday, and he kindly asked if I needed my computer back over the weekend or if I was okay leaving it for him to start working on it the following Monday afternoon. I chose to wait until Monday so I could finish a few more tasks. I dropped off my computer on Monday evening and picked it up the next day. Evan took the time to explain in detail everything he had done and how each change improved my computer. Evan is extremely talented, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. His pricing is very competitive and well worth every dollar spent. His primary focus is on delivering exceptional customer service, which is exactly what Acamar provides. I informed Evan that he is now part of "The Chrysalys Team" and will be my go-to IT professional for all my computer needs moving forward. I cannot recommend Acamar highly enough. Evan is a lifesaver! read more

Charged me for a repaste and cleaning of my ASUS G14 laptop. The laptop came back to me still overheating. I took it to a more savvy tech buddy of mine who upon opening it up discovered that the CPU and GPU still had the original liquid metal thermal paste. Two conclusions here, improper work, or dishonest work. In both cases very bad for the consumer. read more

Absolutely Outstanding Service! We had an incredible experience with Evan and can't recommend him highly enough! He came to our house, took a look at our computer, and quickly diagnosed the issue. Not only did he explain the problem clearly, but he also provided us with thoughtful solutions at a very reasonable price. He took our Mac desktop with him for the necessary repairs and returned it in perfect condition--it's now running like brand new! The speed and efficiency of our computer have been completely restored, and we couldn't be happier. On top of that, Evan spent an hour patiently walking us through what he did and giving us practical advice on maintaining our system. Beyond his technical expertise, Evan is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. His professionalism and ability to assess and fix the issue so efficiently left us beyond impressed. Whether you have a Mac, PC, or any other device, he is clearly a skilled expert who can handle any project with ease. If you need computer repairs, look no further--Evan is the best! We trust him completely and will turn to him for any future tech needs. We strongly recommend Acamar Computer Services A+++ service! read more

What a refreshing experience!! I have a desktop that was running slow. I mean S L O W. It was not old and had all fast hardware. I tried every YouTube and internet fix I could find and wasted hours of my time. I found Acamar Computer Services, read all the positive reviews and called him. Im so glad I did.! It's so rare to find a person with Evan's expertise who can break down and explain complex software issues for us non tech people. He's friendly, very helpful, and most importantly, honest . And he charges a very fair rate! He got my computer to run at blazing speeds. I will tell everyone to see Evan if they have a computer issue. He's one of the best in our area. So stop reading my review and call him! You'll be glad you did. read more

OH MY GOSH, WHAT A RELIEF to know someone like EVAN EXISTS IN THIS WORLD! I read yelp reviews and had him come out for the first time this week. My printer, scanner and Ipad stopped working after I upgraded to Fiber optic. He fixed all that and then showed me additional things that needed fixing on my computer, and explained why. He was a joy to have in the house, explained everything, and took care of all of it!!! He is highly, highly knowledgeable and worth every penny. And now I found out he can do things remotely to help fix, when I have a future issue too! For someone that works and needs computer and printer, he has totally changed my life. He was here earlier this week. He is my new go to for all computer/tech related! read more

Evan was a significant help! He went through and tested every part of my PC, and was even willing to help me afterwards without charge when I was still having some issues. Excellent service and care from someone who clearly knows what he's doing! read more

I needed to get a new hard drive for my computer, but Best Buy was little help and overcomplicated the problem. Evan gave great advice and worked quickly. I also had him tune the fan controls in bios, which made the computer much less noisy. I highly recommend him. read more

Evan did a great job fixing my totally frozen computer. It was amazing to find someone on a Saturday who could repair my computer in less than 24 hours. My computer now runs flawless and a lot faster. Thanks Evan. Also he was priced really good read more

Currently typing out this review on the computer that Evan helped fix! Works like a charm, and the entire process from contact, discussion, timeframe, and pickup was all seamless and well-communicated. Evan is exceptionally knowledgeable of all things tech-based, and is very honest about every aspect of his business. Told me what problems were happening with my computer, replaced the part that I needed with a part that is a lot more effective and at a reduced cost, and gave me some pointers on how to keep my pc in good health as well! What you discuss in terms of payment is what you will be paying, nothing added on. Evan's pricing is very reasonable for the service he is providing, you are paying for the expertise after all. When I went to go pick up my computer from him, we also talked about the value of service and reputation above the practice of up-charging and placing hidden fees, which was very encouraging to hear. I'd like to make it absolutely clear, Evan is your guy for PC repair. Extremely professional, and I would recommend to anyone in need! read more

When I first arrived, I thought the address was wrong because it was in a residential neighborhood. The owner was very responsive. Although he could not fix my dead hard drive, he gave me very good recommendations. The rate was very fair. They also work in the evenings, which is a huge plus for busy people. Highly recommend Acamar! Just make sure you call before you go. read more

I am currently writing this review on my PC that I built, but ran into some trouble with and had the awesome Evan fix. I emailed him with an outline of what was going on and he called me very quickly. He gave me a list of things to try first, and if I still had trouble, to give him a call back. I was very impressed with how quickly he reached out and the pool of knowledge and suggestions he gave me, free of charge. He wished me the best and hoped I didn't have to call back, but alas, I did. I brought my PC to him and he assured me he will have an update in a few days. He completely rebuilt my PC, tested each part, and got it up and running. I came by to pick it up, and that was that. I went home and experienced the same issue I had in the very beginning and shot him a text. He called me immediately and troubleshot some more and the problem was solved! And was my error! I will 100% recommend him to family/friends in the future and if I have anything else arise, I have his number saved. Thank you again, Evan! I have Dave the Diver up and running so smoothly, haha :) read more

I had purchased my son a graphics card that was installed for his computer but still needed software to support it for his gaming. I called Evan and he immediately said he could help. Scheduled time with him, dropped off my computer and he had it installed and fixed within an hour. Great customer service, super friendly, and will definitely use his service again. My son was so exited to play his favorite Roblox games! Thanks again Evan! read more

I came to Evan with a request: I installed an SSD in my 2009 iMac. OS wouldn't boot up so I contacted Evan on Yelp. He was extremely responsive and reached out to me immediately. When I explained my issue he was very honest with what we'd be able to accomplish. Rather than "upsell" me and tell me what I wanted to hear, he was clear with what I could expect. An apt analogy would be: I was trying to use my "old car" (2009 iMac) as a daily commuter, it might work for a few weeks but ultimately something would break/wouldn't work as I desired. Evan was honest and told me as much. So, thanks to his honesty and knowledge I was able to save myself $$$ and invest in a new device instead of investing in a device that might work temporarily, but eventually crash. read more

My computer died suddenly and all my usual attempts to fix it didn't work this time. Like most of us nowadays, I depend on my computer to work at home I called Evan, he answered the phone himself, said he could come to my house that night! He was prompt, courteous, quickly gave an initial assessment of what he thought was the problem and likely solution, price to fix based on parts he'd buy and his labor and estimated time to fix of 2-3 days. He exceeded expectations by having my computer back to me in 24 hours and working much faster and better with his upgraded repair! He is also available in the future to fix any problems remotely now that he's installed the hardware so I'll definitely be using him again if needed! read more

This is a professional and reliable business. Evan consulted then upgraded my PC components allowing me to maximize performance for years ahead without buying an entirely new PC. He replaced the CPU, graphics card, power supply, and upgraded the hard disk to an SSD all based on what i was looking to get out of it cost and spec wise. He also improved the settings on Windows that were wasting CPU resources. It feels like a totally new machine and it was great working with Evan. read more

The only drawback to this phenomenal service is that it's a 45- minute Drive from my house. I would use Evan Omo even if it was twice that. Probably even if I had to walk. I had a very old laptop that needed battered email files, 200,000 of them, transferred to a spiffy new machine. The "geek squad" at Best Buy were flummoxed by the challenge, but to their credit did not charge me after trying to do it for five days. At very reasonable cost, Evan was able to succeed where the squad had failed. I had done a fair amount of research on the problem of ancient email file restoration, and asked him how he accomplished it. "Patience," was his Zen reply. Then, he made some simple recommendations that had not occurred to me for upgrading the ancient 11-pound laptop that I thought was well beyond useful life. The SSD upgrade might take it another eight years, we figured, so it made a wonderful gift for my daughter-in-law. Windows 10 now, on a 12-year-old machine! Evan is a hot rodder. His third wonder, was cracking into the laptop of a dear family member who had died not long ago. I had been assured by brass at Microsoft, executive office people I knew from college, that this was impossible. I'm not a newbie, rusty perhaps, but I worked for IBM long ago and I've had many computer adventures since the 1970s. The only reason I would hesitate to recommend Evan is that he might get so busy that I have to wait in a long line next time I have a mystery or disaster. He's also a mild character, English is his first language, and I met his parents. Dare I say: he comes from a good home! read more

Evan is by far the most knowledgeable computer expert I have ever met. He is extremely professional, honest, and reasonably priced. I had three other computer technicians look at my Dell desktop and they were unable to help me. Then I contacted Evan and he came over and completely saved the day. He got my computer working perfectly when nobody else was able to do so, I highly recommend him for all your computer needs. read more

While the tech was skilled at his work, his listening skills need improvement. He ignored my specific instructions, and plowed forward with his subjective priorities, (installing other security software and another browser) not the work I asked him to do. In the one hour appointment, which he was 20 minutes late for, he never got to the reason I booked this appointment. read more

Evan did a great job-very competent and knowledgable and I have used him for many years.

Evan knows his stuff and is a pleasure to work with. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

this is the BEST and ONLY computer repair and support service you will EVER need! I was referred to Evan by a Forensic Cyber Specialist who assured me that Evan was "beyond over-qualified" and THAT was an understatement. Not only did he find SEVERAL threats to my computer system AND remove them, but he optimized my computer system, created my own Wi-Fi password and secured that, installed a FREE threat detection program, taught me how to do 7 different things on my PC include protect my photos and my hard drive, reset my router, gave me an admin panel log in, and thats the tip of the iceberg. he works FAST and thorough and is articulate, patient, taught me in ways i could understand, and helped my family feel SAFE which is everything. He was so professional, so nice, respectful, knowledgeable, and so cool. you know how after a service is done in your home, they leave, and you have a question and you are stuck with it because they are gone and you cant get them back .... Evan MADE HIMSELF AVAILABLE to answer my f/u questions!!! you need no one else. He is AWESOME. i will refer everyone care about to him read more

My GOD. Where has Evan been all my life? After literally HOURS online with HP support, Evan fixed my printer with 5 minutes of advice. I first found this service on Angie's List and I noticed the high rating and glowing reviews there. So I called Antares up and engaged them when I had an issue that needed fixing. I have used this service for over a year and have had excellent results. Evan and Davy have always resolved my issues, and on the very few issues that required followup, the followup was quick and efficient. In addition, prices for their service are less than those of any competitor that I have engaged. For years I used the services of an outfit that is no longer in business. During that time I had multiple crashes that required re-installation of my OS. Since I have been dealing with Antares, I have not had a single crash and my PC runs much faster than it use to. In addition, Evan and Davy have been valuable resources for general PC related info. I would recommend Antares to anyone. read more

Great service! Evan has worked on optimizing my laptop on numerous occasions and I have actually seen improvements in its performance. Evan really knows his stuff about computers whether it be about how to deal with computer viruses, getting rid of junk programs that slow your computer down to even fixing issues with the printer. He will let you know upfront how much his hourly rate is before working on your computer. He also explains really well what issues are going on with your computer in a way that you can understand. On top of that, he also follows up to see if there are any issues with your computer after fixing it to ensure that you are completely satisfied with his work.
