Don't go here! My hinge was broken on my laptop. It took them over a week to get it back to me. They drilled 4 screws through the top of the laptop to hold it together. That could be done very quickly. I had to call everyday to push them. I was really getting pissed off! Glad I didn't need a more serious repair. Oh and it was $200! What a rip off scam! read more

TLDR: Very disorganized business. The state of the lobby reflects the service you will receive. Find someone else. I was in the market for a pc upgrade so I reached out to a few businesses. I decided to work with CCI as they were the closest to home and after a brief discussion over the phone he seemed to have a handle on what I was looking for. The owner talked me into an older GPU due to availability issues with the one i was interested in, This seemed reasonable. We discussed doing the upgrade a few weeks out giving the parts ample time to arrive. I drop the computer off on a Thursday with the expectation the upgrade would be done over the weekend. As I drop it off the owner mentions all the parts but the GPU have arrived. I half expected this knowing how the market is. He was hopeful it would arrive and mentioned he would let me know when it's done. Friday-Monday no contact Tuesday comes around and I still haven't heard from him so I call to check on status. He says the parts have not arrived but he checked tracking and it should be there by end of day. Weds no contact Thursday comes around, Again no contact. I decide to call to be the squeaky wheel. He again says it should be there by end of day but as a contingency he will overnight another lesser GPU and install it if it doesn't arrive so I can have a working computer in the interim. I expect a call from him Friday telling me either the card I ordered arrived and the build is done, or that he put the other card in there for now. Friday comes and goes with no contact. Saturday I call him around opening asking for a status update. He fumbles with some excuses and tells me he will put in the card that he supposedly had overnighted and I should stop by at 4 to pick up my computer and I can use that until the new card arrives. I show up to the shop at 4 and he is not there. His assistant has to call him from somewhere offsite to come by as he does not know what is going on with my system. I wait and when the owner shows up he starts in with the excuses which I really don't want to hear. I get it shit happens with computer parts, totally understandable. Just keep me in the loop so I know what's going on and I don't have to call and badger you. I hate being that guy. When I look at the card that was "overnighted" I notice it was the same on that was on the shelf when I first came by to drop off my computer over a week ago. I don't make any mention of this as I am just fed up at this point and want to leave. He asks me for some money which is understandable for some time and material even though the job is not complete. I ask for an invoice so I can see what I am being charged for and had to wait 10 minutes while he fumbled around to type one up from scratch. I paid him and left. At this point since I had a working computer I thought, hey maybe we should actually spend the extra money for the GPU I originally wanted that he talked me out of. But my confidence in him was gone and I just didn't want to deal with him anymore. I decide to leave just to end my dealings with him for the day and I'll look at upgrading further elsewhere. I get home, plug in the computer, and am greeted by 4 blue screens in under 10 minutes. It's obvious he didn't test the system. I call him and let him know that I am experiencing blue screens. He hollers over to his assistant and asks if he ran the computer, his assistant says something about pressure testing it a bit. He tells me it was tested and was fine, the blinding blue glow in my room told me otherwise.... I just dropped the computer off again after my second visit to his shop for today. Somehow the bad guys got my bank information, credit card,etc. I wasnt sure the extent of the damage but knew I had to get help securing my computers. I must admit CCI was not my first call in my desperate time of need but was the only one who said they could help. The recent storms caused several outages, all occurring while my 4 year old Gaming PC was on. The final (20 hour outage) appeared to be the final straw, with my PC turning on and lasting about 10 minutes before it gave up the ghost. I spent a few hours researching locations for me to reach out to, in the hopes that the repair was a part replacement, and not something more catastrophic. I found CCI after perusing competitors, and I was drawn to their experience with Gaming PCs. This turned out to be their key differentiator. After describing the symptoms, they (Rizwan, the owner, and Tom the tech) surmised that it was likely the motherboard. I quickly pulled together a parts list, and actually ordered a motherboard just in case it needed to be replaced. Once I dropped off the machine, I got a diagnosis within a day. Once I received the replacement board, I was able to drop it off and got my machine fixed up within a few hours. I even got a nice upgrade on another part after they diagnosed my machine. CCI was thorough, communicative, transparent, and experienced. The cost of work was also extremely fair (even allowing me to purchase a part on my own and dropping it off). I highly recommend CCI. I've been a customer for approx 15 years and they have always done right by me. I wouldn't dream of taking my business elsewhere. My visits are few now compared to the beginning as I no longer take out my frustration by pounding the PC as I often did in my first years, when I was clueless. haha. My latest visit (2/24/24) was for transferring a SS drive from an old PC to a better one, copying and replacing its regular non-SS hard drive and retaining Windows 7 as the OS. Because of the age of the PC there was a problem enabling the Wifi, something about missing drivers that turned out to be somewhat complicated. It took about a half hour but Rizwan and his technician got it done together, and I was on my way. .................................................................................................. For some unknown reason, Yelp has determined that these 2 honest and factual reviews by me, 12 years apart.. are to be 'Not Recommended'. Why that is - a mystery to me, they are NOT FAKE ! I used CCI two times to fix my old laptop during the last several years. The first issue was the laptop not closing and damaging the screen when I tried to do so. The second time, in 2023, the laptop went dead even when connected to an outlet. Both times the service by CCI was superb and the cost very reasonable. The very old laptop still works, in fact, so well, that I have not yet unpacked a new laptop bought in 2023. I have never used any other repair shops in the area. I took in an external hard drive which I was having trouble with to this place to see if they could access a couple of thousand files and save them--photos of kids growing up, birthdays, other family events that you want to record and keep. CCI was able to quickly save all videos from my corrupted micro SD card! Cannot recommended enough!! Because of COVID most of our family members have not been able to see or take part in our pregnancy and then birth of our first child. Because of that we have been taking tons of videos documenting everything. Now that she is almost six months we decided to move the videos to a hard drive to keep them safe. While transferring all of a sudden we got the "files corrupted" message. I cried thinking we had lost all of our first memories. Luckily I found CCI on Yelp and quickly went to them next day.
