After a brief conversation and price quote by phone, I took a "dead" hard drive to Lica to see if he could retrieve the files on it. Alas, it was not to be. He told me that he had spent an hour or so on it, but was just unable to get in there. But wait! Here's where it gets really good. When I went to pick up the drive (and the empty drive that we hoped the retrieved files would go on) he refused payment. Whaaaat?, you say? That's right. He told me that it is his policy to charge nothing if he can't retrieve the data. Talk about integrity! We hired Lica to install surveillance cameras around our house. He did a fantastic job recommending places to put the cameras. They don't look out of place, but still cover all areas. He also did a great job hiding the cables, drilling through the walls and cleaning up at the end. When we noticed that one thing didn't work, he came by the next day to fix the problem. I had two external hard drives that stored all my pictures and everything for several years. I had one fail so I went back to the original one and it failed too. Took them in to Staples and they were unable to get any data from either of them. Sent one to Seagate had to pay $50 and they couldn't recover anything. Brought them to LMC and he was able to recover all of my data from one of the drives completely! And cheaper than Seagate was going to charge. Lica restored files from a dead Mac hard drive and installed a new one. He went so far as to send a dvd of more needed files. His fees are more than fair and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He was transparent about what he might or might not be able to do and gave me an accurate time frame for completion of the work. Lica knows computers, there is no other way to say it. He set up two systems in our house, a printer wireless, a new expensive router in the month of May 2014. If Lica says he will be there at 9 AM he shows up at 9 AM he is always on time. He works non stop and he is reasonably priced per hour. There is nothing he does not know about computers, software, downloads,compatability, etc. The best thing about Lika is that there are no dumb questions. I had plenty of them and he considers every question no matter how dumb it is deserves a good concise answer. He is easy to deal with and he can solve any issue you have. After the first two hours of the set up he took off and said if there is an issue call me asap. What I did I played with the system for a week and then had him come out and explain all of the issues I had with the new system 7 Dell. I had plenty, I can use a computer but my computer knowledge is zero. I even have problems downloading new programs.. Not anymore. I have had two other guys here to work on our old computers they were somewhat lost but they advertised computer repair.
