I recently availed myself of their services and am so glad I did. After my old laptop died mid-work week, I was in a panic and didn't know what to do or how I'd retrieve my data. Custom Computers was recommended to me, and in a panic, I brought in my dead Dell. I spoke with Nick -- friendly, professional, patient, and deeply knowledgeable. He listened carefully, took notes, and reframed my crisis in practical terms. He even told me what compatible systems he had on hand that might serve as inexpensive replacements, then clearly laid out what he could definitely do, what he might be able to do, and what was less likely but still possible. I thanked him, left my laptop, and told him I'd be in touch. When I finally decided to purchase a new system with custom specs, Nick simply said, "No problem." He asked me to bring in my new machine when it arrived. Throughout the process, the woman who answered the phone and Nick's colleagues were always fast, friendly, and passed along my messages promptly. My new system took an inordinate amount of time to arrive, but when it did, Nick had everything running: all my data transferred to the new SSD, my old desktop restored, and my files where I could find them immediately. I turn my computer in there to have them fix the screen. They said it would be ready the next day. I did not hear from them for several days so I had to call them where they told me that they had broken a piece on my computer and had to wait for the part to arrive in order to fix it before they gave me back my computer. This computer is used for my schoolwork When receiving the computer back they didn't even offer me any accommodation for not even contact me and letting me know that there was something wrong and me having to contact them and now that I've got my computer back my screen is messed up and it's not working correctly.! This review has been long over due, I had the blue screen of death pop up on my screen about 2.5 weeks ago. I was working on some school work, AutoCad and all of a sudden I could not get back to my daily work. It was so frustrating that I could not get back to my daily school, work, and personal issues. I got a quote from Best buy who was trying to sell me a $1000 "fix, protection, and maintenance plan" But they didn't even look at the computer yet. I was completely displease at how they where talking among themselves before giving me a quote. It just seemed fishy. I had a few friends in IT who tried to help me by phone, but still had no luck. My cousin who is an IT recommended these guys (Custom Computers) and the rest is history. Nick was the primary person who maintained contact with me and kept me updated with the processes and procedures they where planning to do. He also broke down pricing with quotes prior to my approvals. He was able to retrieve my AutoCad files and also got all my personal data all back. He broke down exactly what needed to be replaced and the reason for the blue screen of death (Solid drive was toast and one of the other 4 hard drives failed as well) I know very little about computers, but he and his team was able to make me feel like I understood what needed to be fixed. I brought my custom pc into custom computers on a Monday because I was having problems downloading my graphics card drivers I tried Ebie knew to fix it but I couldn't figure it out. When I got there a very friendly staff Nick took a look at it and told me to leave it with them so they could figure out what was going on. I got a call the next day by another friendly worker Scott who told me he was able to fix the issue I was having which was my ram running to fast for my cpu! Long overdue review for Johnny and his team! 2 years ago they built me a awesome desktop computer that is still faster and more reliable than any other machine I have in my office. Today they wired our 94 year old building so we can finally have hard wired computers. We tried to live with the wireless connections when we moved in but ran into so many connection and quality issues. Comcast told us it was impossible to wire without major intrusion because of the limited access points. Well Johnny said NO PROBLEM! We will get it done and that's what his team did!
