I had a glitch occur with my MacBook that froze all of my Microsoft Apps and wouldn't allow me to work on my school papers or work. I was at a loss and called macVolks. Sharman had me come in first thing in the morning and worked with me for about an hour to get it all resolved. She was so kind, so patient, and didn't even charge me! I can't believe how generous and helpful she was to give such immediate, attentive care! I'm so grateful. I've brought my Macs here for years and have always had this type of kind, quick, accurate service! Thank you! read more

Second time using them for a repair, this time to replace my phone battery! Was able to get an appointment very quickly and I wanted to spare a visit to Apple store in WC and going to Best Buy. Came here because I was happy with my experience last time I used them. Friendly staff, fast turnaround time. read more

Made appointment in advance. Refused to service my device at my appointment. Not valid apple repair location. Do not use

I brought my lap top in as the battery died. They ran diagnostics on it and confirmed it needed a new battery. The quote was upfront and transparent. Shelby, who checked in the computer was very friendly. I should say, my lap top is 8 years old. They ran into some other issues (camera lens and keyboard) after the install but they took their time to rectify all the issues before giving it back to me. I was a little uncomfortable turning my computer over to a stranger knowing that I had very private personal information on it. Passwords, banking, emails etc. But after speaking with the owner, Charmin (sp?), I got a really good vibe from her and she was extremely communicative about the service performed. And gave me the confidence that I took it to the right place. The service comes with a 90 day warranty which I love! Charmin is very personable, seems to love what she does and it was important to her that it was done right and done well. They returned my laptop to me in better condition than they received it. So sparkly and clean. She really put my mind at ease. It's also a 75% women run company, which is an added bonus for me! I will be back and I do recommend them. read more

I had a nightmare that came true: my daughter dropped something on my laptop. My every day, get stuff done while kids are running in circles around me laptop. It's a work computer, fully pimped out and needed for everyday business. I made an appointment online, came in, and was given the news. It could be fixed! I received a follow-up call a few hours later to confirm it was just the screen that needed repair. I approved the repair and was told I should hear back by a certain date. I was called ahead of schedule! One thing I appreciate the most is constant communication and hitting deadlines. They did both. read more

I've used macVolks a few times, twice in the last few months. They're service is great and communication even better. I had to take in my laptop twice in a few months, both times they had to send it to Apple. They were able to get me reimbursed from Apple for the second issue because Apple had my computer so recent for repair. I highly recommend macVolks if you have an issue with your computer. read more

Just spoke with Shelby. She was courteous, professional, accommodating, and efficient. I need to have my I-phone screen repaired and macVolks is the first company I called. I like to support small businesses and am going to have them do the work. I will post a review after the work is completed. read more

I recently had to order a special part for my MacBook's keyboard. In particular, it was an older model and the key legends had started wearing off. There are several possibly matches , however, for new keys (called key caps) . I sent the model number and serial number to MacVolks and I was able to obtain precisely the parts I wanted and needed, cheaper even than if I had purchased from eBay. It was a great recovery of being able to keep my Mac running without having to purchase an entire new laptop. Based upon this experience, I had them put a new battery in my iPhone, replace two screens, one on an iPhone and one on a MacBook Air. They are extraordinarily responsive and helpful and I prefer to work with them over going to the Apple Store. Thank you . read more

We just got a new iMac to replace the one that was no longer able to be updated. We had been to MacVolks previously and returned so they could rescue anything to be moved over to the new one. They did a remarkable job, and set up the new one so it would be a seamless transition for us! I could not have been happier for all the ease of the change! Beyond that, everyone there is friendly, and listened to our concerns and being very reassuring with the speed and quality of their work! This is the place to go for Mac service, if needed! read more

Took my Apple Watch to be repaired. Very friendly, skilled, honest and timely. I can't imagine anything more you'd want from a trusted vendor to take care of your Mac products. They made a lifetime client with me. read more

MacVolks is awesome. This was my first time using an authorized service provider rather than going through Apple directly and I can say that it was a great experience. I was kept in the loop on the diagnostic / repair and all of my questions were answered thoroughly. I was quoted a week to repair and ended up getting my MacBook back in three days. I definitely recommend this business for your computer repair needs. read more

Absolute A+ experience with MacVolks. The iconic "Think Different" posters in the lobby tell you all you need to know - these are genuine Apple experts and know exactly what they're doing. They're also incredibly nice to boot. I came here to see about getting my MBP butterfly keyboard replaced, along with a new battery. I explained that this was my main work computer and the Apple Store in WC were quoting a turnaround time of 4-6 weeks just for a new keyboard... Sharman was incredibly helpful and walked me through the process. I went ahead and the repair ended up being done very quickly and they kept me informed with text messages throughout. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Don't bother with the Apple Store - go to MacVolks instead. read more

Once again, Sharman at macVolks earned all five stars? Once again, my "vintage" iMAC was just starting to suffer "out of the Dark Ages" and, once again, Sharman did some legwork and offered a solution. Once again, I have a friend in the MAC business. Many thanks !! read more

macVolks fixed my broken laptop screen through my AppleCare warranty. They were so lovely to work with, and it's a nice quiet office with easy parking. My screen was fixed much sooner than I'd expected, and my computer looks shiny and brand new. Highly recommend. A completely non-stressful fix to a stressful problem. read more

After my MacBook Pro decided to stop charging, I was referred to macVolks by Apple. Upon entering the building, I was greeted by a nice, friendly staff member that explained the troubleshooting procedures and repair protocols. She was very knowledgable of the various computer pieces (including faulty equipment that Apple could repair) and answered all of my questions. I received a phone call about a day or two later letting me know what was broken, the part that needed to be replaced, and a good estimate of when my Macbook Pro would be ready for pick-up. Luckily, they finished my Macbook a couple of days early and I was able to pick it up today. Now my computer has been working smoothly and has been charging without any issues. Thank you so much macVolks for the superb customer service and professionalism! read more

I accidently dropped my laptop as I was coming into my house from the backyard. Yep, hit the cement, cracked the screen, made a dent and couldn't close the laptop. Took it to Best Buy and the turnaround time was INSANE! 8 + weeks because they had to ship it to Kentucky. They said to take it to APPLE. I tried making an appointment online and found 0 available for the next 100 years. They did however refer me another authorized dealer which closed to me was MacVolks. Parking is awesome here, comparing to Apple in Walnut Creek. Turnaround time was days not weeks, YAY! Brought it in on a Friday, picked it up on Wednesday. Process was very easy, they explained everything and were very professional. If you are worried about how they are handling the CDC Guidelines for COVID they are on point. Very clean, they keep their distance and are handling everything through appointment. My macbook pro looks great, works amazing as if it was new again. read more

These guys are great for all your Apple needs. Quick, Responsive and Reasonably priced. We had had IPads, iPhones and iMacs worked on here.

Wow! All I can say is I dreaded going to the Apple Store in WC to find out how much it would cost to replace the glass on my less than 2 month old iMac 24" - accident glass damage! I was so happy to find these folks through Apple as it was closer to my house. I scheduled a drop-off and was told the price to fix - a lot which I was expecting. I didn't initially buy Apple Care but Sherman suggested purchasing it to see if could be done. It was! They were able to replace the glass in less than a week for all of about $100 for labor - which I was more than happy to pay! I don't know if I would have been told at the Apple Store to try purchasing Apple Care, but thanks to these wonderful people, I am one happy person! They are honest, efficient, and communicative! Thank you! read more

Easy drop off with up front pricing. Turn around time was quick! Kind, welcoming staff. Thank you, Shelby!

They did a great job fixing my iMac. Excellent customer service and fast. Highly recommended and will come again. The only bad thing is they don't work on the weekends. We have iPhone that needs repair now but can't take it to them because we need it during regular business hours. read more

After a few months of WFH during Covid-19, my display went out on my personal MacBook Pro (yeah, my work didn't actually get me a work-issued laptop until five months into the pandemic--go figure!). Luckily, I have AppleCare! The Apple stores were not able to help right away, so I went with the Apple representative's referral to macVolks. I called and they gave me clear directions on how to find them and where to park. They cleaned after the customer before me then invited me in to assist me. They have been in business a long time and have lots of experience, which made me feel really comfortable leaving my computer with them. They were also really prompt in getting my laptop back to me, and turned it as quickly as they could once they got the parts in stock. I'd definitely recommend them for any fixes. read more

I can't stand yelp and hate to contribute to a company that destroys small businesses but macVolks hopefully this review makes it on their page because macVolks did an amazing job with my laptop repair and for that reason I wanted to make sure I let them a review on Google and on Yelp. I thought my laptop was a goner- the screen was broken (no idea how this happened I think honestly from closing it good ole MacBooks)... the side bar was broken, the keyboard was broken it was a nightmare. This company was able to fix my laptop within a week even during supply chain issues. They were able to give me the run down on the diagnostics in less than 24 hours... I was able to pick it up in 6 days and it is essentially brand new. I am very happy with their service and professional demeanor and transparency. read more

I had to take my macbook pro in for the butterfly keyboard issues and macVolks verified my warranty and got it fixed in only 8 days. macVolks cleaned an annoying and potentially dangerous virus from my Mac quickly and effectively, all for the price originally quoted. Turnaround was quick, the people were friendly and efficient, and I will return with any future troubles I can't handle on my own. This rating is based on macVolks' customer service and not any physical service that was paid for. I contacted mV through the Yelp app and Sharman responded within an hour. Sharman needed more details with email addy and responded back within a few hours with a detailed quote of the repair details and the cost. Unfortunately for me, my macbook Pro's headphone port is loose and worse yet, soldered to the motherboard. The repair cost way exceeded the value of the repair in my book (bluetooth headphones are in my future), so I declined to proceed with the repair. Thank you, Sharman for the info and timely response! read more

I rarely give out reviews and I wish we were able to add stars because not giving Sharman a perfect 10 star doesn't feel fair. She is not only an ethical professional but her exceptional humane demeanor makes her hands down the best!! I was very stressed, to say the least, to be having my Mac unexpectedly shut down all the time. As an entrepreneur, I rely on my computer so much, I was also pretty stressed to drop it off for a while! However, I really appreciated the service, understanding, and consideration I received--and they were able to get my computer back to me quicker than expected, and for a reasonable price. Now my Mac runs like a new computer and I'm back in business--so I am thrilled! I will definitely use them again, if I have any other trouble in the future. read more

I would give "macVolks" 10 stars if I could!!!! My Mac Book Pro had a problem with the Batteries. They were "bulging/swelling to where the laptop would not set flat on the desk. Using the key board would make it rock back and forth. Closer inspection, found there were a couple screws that had popped out the deformed bottom cover. Took it into "macVolks" , Charmin said they wouldn't know what the cost was going to be until the technicians inspect the batteries. Informed me that it may take a week or so to order batteries and misc. parts. Even with the "Memorial Day Weekend" , I received a text exactly 7 days since I dropped it off: "Hi Jeff! Your computer is ready for pickup! Please let me know when you're available to come by. Thank you!" I went to pick up my Laptop, was told "No charge" just sign here.........."batteries are covered by Apple through a recall . They even replaced my Keyboard! I would recommend macVolks to everyone I know for their Professionalism and Honesty. read more
