I stopped in because my touchscreen stopped working. I couldn't get it working, so I took it to the closest phone repair place to my house. That place specialized in iPhones, so he recommended that I go to MD Wireless where they might have the parts on hand for my Samsung phone. The person working there listened to my story and held my phone for about 4 minutes before telling me that he saved me a lot of time and money. MD Wireless replaced my cell phone battery. They had the battery "on hand" for my Galaxy Note! I called 1st and then brought the phone over and they installed the battery in about an hour. I left the phone there and they told me when to come back for pickup. They use Covid care guidelines inside the store, and for the payment process. I was very happy. When it comes to electronics, sometimes repair is better than replace. With smartphones running at $200 and more, try to get it repaired. And for repairs, MD Wireless is your place. I asked for several quotes, and many of them said "we repair only Apple products." The Hunny has a Samsung, that won't work. MD Wireless had a quote that was in line with the market, and they made sure they found the right problem and fixed only it. $90 later, the Hunny's screen works better than new. I don't place as much emphasis on customer service as I do the hard product: are you getting the best deal? I think you are with MD. Still, when it comes to delicate electronics, full of geek wannabes who have no problems gouging the general public, the husband-and-wife team who have run MD since the early 2000s were careful to listen and observe what was wrong, and do the best solution without adding unnecessary features that aren't asked for. Nice folks, too. It boils down to great customer service, which gave them my 5-star rating. This shop did not keep a single one of its verbal agreements. On January 19th I called and was quoted a price of $225 for a cracked screen on my Pixel 4a 5g. They said they had to order the part and it would be in on Thursday or Friday, at which time they would call me. On Friday, after 10 am I ended up calling them. They said the part was just in and it would take two hours to repair. I dropped off the phone and returned two hours and 10 minutes later to learn that there were still some things that had to be done, but the technician was out to lunch. I returned again, one hour later. The phone was ready but they charged me $235 instead of $225. 1. Didn't call when the part was in. 2. Said it would take one to one and a half hours. Took over two hours. 3. Quoted a price of $225. Charged me $10 more than that. This kind of lack of attention to detail makes me wonder if there was lack of attention to detail in the repair, too. Solid. Have gotten my screen fixed here twice. They are always super polite, very fast and have always been willing to answer my questions and ease my paranoia with losing data on my phone. These guys are super professional, super reasonably priced and efficient. This is my go-to place for phone repair. Have been there after being screwed over and infuriated by Apple multiple times. Also, you can choose to either (1) wait outside a glass box in middle of downtown Walnut Creek where you will be for 40 minutes waiting for someone in a blue shirt to tell you that you didn't book an appointment and then who will sit you down and tell you they can't fix anything unless you pay $500 and are okay with losing all of your data and sign over 4 disclosures or (2) pull up to this place and get your phone fixed in 30 minutes and for half the price. :) High recommend!! read more

Thy said thy could do it (closing in less than an hour) Tech inspected it and said it just needed to be "really" cleaned ( I thought I had actually done that) Cleaned / working perfect / out the door in 15min. I stopped here after breaking my samsung phones screen and they repaired it in an hour. It was 300$ very pricey but I appreciate the quick work they do. They are also one of the few stores around that fix the type of screen that I had. Everyone wore masks but I didn't appreciate that the employees let customers without masks come inside the store even though the sign outside said that they require masks to be worn. They also invited a large amount of people inside the very small enclosed space so I found myself just wanting to pay and getting out fast. But the employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about technology and what they do. read more

I managed to break the LCD (digitizer and all) on my Samsung Galaxy SIII. I've fixed digitizers myself, including on my older S2, but this phone is more complex than I care to deal with. I shopped around for a repair company, and MD Wireless popped up as the best one that is local. I called them, he told me that If I brought it in they'd have a digitizer by the next day and I'd have it in the afternoon. My wife brought the phone in to them later in the day, and they still managed to get the part ordered. Dropped it off late Monday and had it back on Tuesday and it's working like brand new - except that I still have everything on it, saving me several hours of effort to load up a new phone. I've have purchased several phones from MD wireless. But my most recent experience was the worse. Max ordered a Samsung S8 active for me. He said to buy a used one and save some money. He stated used and new were the same. However, he didn't call me when the phone was in. He ordered a phone with Sprint apps build inside. I had to do some running around to AT&T to find out what was wrong with my new phone. When I contacted him to return it. He deducted 20% restocking. What? He made the mistake of ordering a phone with Sprint apps build inside and I have to lost 20% restocking. He won't even give me back $15.00 for the charger I mailed back that I purchased from him. Being a small business Max needs to learn to work better with returning customers. I will never recommend MD wireless to my friends now and I will never purchase from them again. read more

After years of hard work, the battery was dying in my Samsung S7 cell phone. I took it back to Verizon in Pleasant Hill, but they said they didn't replace batteries. They recommended Staples across the street. I acrossed Contra Costa Blvd to Staples. The Staples' technician was very kind, but he explained that he had to order the battery. It would take two weeks and cost $80 dollars plus "installation." He volunteered that, "changing batteries in all the Samsung phones are a "pain in the a**." Then he leaned over the counter and whispered, "Take it to MD Wireless. They're just down the street." He gave me directions, and off I went. I arrived five minutes later. It's a little hard to find sandwiched between a Chinese restaurant and the large mattress store on the corner of Contra Costa and Sunvalley Boulevards. The technician looked like a hipster geek, and his associate was cut from the same mold. I told the service tech my battery was dying. He took one look at my phone and said, "Sure I've got the battery in stock." He said it would cost $75 including installation and take 30 minutes. It was lunchtime, so I asked for a recommendation. Both technicians recommended Giant Chef on Gold Links Road. I left my phone with them and headed to Giant Chef where I had a magical lunch. I returned after lunch. My Samsung S7 was ready. Came here because my friend told me this was the place to go! Didn't see a problem with the store. It was close to me and seemed convenient. I shattered my iphone pretty bad and needed it done. I ended up spending $150 (which was very disappointing considering my friends hav had it done for cheaper). One star loss for that. Another star loss for a spot on my phone they i guess missed.
