Had 2 samsung galaxy s7 phones that needed their batteries replaced. Went in handed in the phones, filled out some minor paperwork and waited for them. They had a few in the queue before me, but within about 2 hours I had my phones back. Decent price ($150 for the 2). Was glad to see Matt wipe down the phone with a wipe before handing them back. Rob was extremely knowledgeable and had answers for every question. He gave me plenty of information that was clear and to the point. We had a run of bad luck regarding phone screens. I had 2 phone screens that recently needed to be replaced. Both of the Apple variety and I was expecting to be dropping at least $150 for both phones screen phones to be replaced. I had been referred to by a friend and they were charging was less than another store I was quoted. As it turns out, one of the phones I had the screen had a tempered glass that was shattered. No damage to the actual phone screen. The other phone had a cracked screen, and needed a new face. Both phones screens and glass were replaced within an hour. I had to go back the next day to them re adjust the screen, but we're happy with the job they done on both phones. The actual cost to fix phones was at least 30% off from what the other phone repair shop quoted. Hopefully we won't have to replace another screen in the near future, but if we do; I know now where to go to have it fixed. read more

I took in an Iphone to be jail broke. First of all they did not back up one thing on the phone that includes 20 thousand photos from movie set. They break the phone and I am given a guilt trip. It takes a month to repair but a 16gig Iphone becomes an 8gig IPhone and when I get the phone back the camera dose not work, they promise to install programs on the phone but never did not. I was blown off given a phone in worst shape than I did before they had it, the phone only need to be jail broken . By the keep your receipt, if I had not I would have been charged twice. As if they could not find a copy of proof of my payment. All I have to say is unprofessional, sloppy, and untrustworthy! How can one fail and then blame it on the customer? THIEVES! I called them about a broken phone I had, and they said they'd look at it for free. I asked them over the phone once and TWICE at the actual store to make sure it would be free. When they finally called me back a week after dropping off my phone, they said it was irreparable and would cost me $30 to get it back. This was AFTER I had already bought a replacement phone from them, which by the way does no work well whatsoever. The SIM card is always loose and makes the phone reset. On top of that, they tried to sell me another replacement that was busted... it was being held together by a case! I asked if I bought it like that if they would discount and they said no. NO ETHICS WHATSOEVER. I would not recommed this store, unless you enjoy being ripped off. Hey Mike - Thanks for responding THREE YEARS LATER! As I stated in my review, I was never quoted a fee for the guys to LOOK at my phone. There was no labor involved. I don't work for free, and don't expect you to, either. Eventually had to pay again at another shop to get the job done right. Before I begin my review, I would like to caution everyone who ever plans on taking their cellular to a repair shop. It is so important for you to KNOW how your phone works -- both inside and out, and DO NOT leave out details. If you know more than what you're telling the technician, you're not gonna get the results that you want by leaving out details. Finally, before you take your phone home, always, always, ALWAYS test it out before leaving this shop or any other cellular repair shop in general. Refusing to test your phone after all repairs have been completed is like buying a car without test driving it first. Are you with me so far? Excellent, now onto my review. ROUND ONE: My cousin had an LG Escape 2 phone that he no longer wanted on account of a broken screen. A broken screen was the reason he no longer wanted the phone?! I figured, "okay, if he doesn't want it, and since we both have the same carrier, I might as well take it to the shop to get the screen repaired. Low and behold, I found this place located in Pleasant Hill. The technician gave me a timeframe and a price point that was more than reasonable in my opinion. So, I left the phone with him and received it back in less than a week -- good as new. I tested the phone and after I was satisfied, I paid the suggested price and left. ROUND TWO: My HTC One M7 phone seemed to be on its last legs. No matter what cord I used to charge my cellular, it wouldn't charge, and on top of that, it also needed a new battery. Removing a battery from this device is like performing open-heart surgery, which was something that I couldn't do, therefore, I made another trip back to MD Wireless. Although the technician was successful in replacing the battery, the USB port was damaged. He dusted it, vacuumed it, and just like me, tried every cord he had in his possession, and yet the darn phone wouldn't charge. The technician told me that he could replace the USB port. However, the costs for repairs would be identical to purchasing a brand-new phone from the carrier store. We both thought the idea wasn't worth the time or money and declared the HTC phone DOA... well, not entirely. At least there was enough power left in that phone to transfer all data and files into my personal hard drive that I brought (not bought) into the store. Because he was able to repair the screen on the phone that I had brought into the store the first time around, I was able to remove the SIM card from the HTC and transfer it into the LG Escape 2, and the phone works like a charm. So why am I giving this place 5 stars, you ask? The technician may not have been able to repair my HTC, but at least he was willing to try other methods to help me, which is always a plus in my book. In addition, he fixed the LG phone that I brought in a timely fashion. What can I say except, "nothing lasts forever". Because we rely so much on our phones in this day and age, we would like to THINK that they do last forever, but there comes a time when there are some things that a technician can't do. In a nutshell, he succeeded with one phone, and did the best he could with the other one. read more

Pros: This establishment knows how to fix your cell phones' problem. My 97% new HTC One's Sim tray has to be replaced. They got it done in 3 days - $75. Cons: 1. Unfortunately, they did not put the back cover nicely. I found to dents on the back of the brand-new back cover. They have to replace the back cover to fix the problem. 2. The battery usage of my almost new HTC- one only last three days in stand by mode now. It used to last at least 12 days. I would have given a five-star if it wasn't for the battery life issue. The dents is just a cosmetic issue. The battery issue is a major problem. read more

Have had several of our cell phones repaired by MD Wireless over the years & have always found them to be professional, prompt, honest and helpful & repair costs acceptable. They have always provided me with cost-cutting solutions for parts I needed, such as buying a used CP online (such as on eBay) to help save me money on my bill. As opposed to say, if they had to provide part for me, it might increase costs. I appreciate that honesty, it shows integrity. This last visit for example I was told by my carrier it would cost $400+ to fix problem as I was out of warranty. However at MDW I paid a total of $45 for repair and $25 on eBay, obviously far less than what carrier wanted to fix problem. Needless to say I was very happy. What they estimated as my total cost has ALWAYS been what my out-the-door costs were when I picked it up. Service has always been fast & prompt. For example, I recently took a CP in for a display swap-out & the tech that helped me had it done within an hour & a half. That being said, keep in mind 1) he was alone in the shop & 2) it was 3:30 in the afternoon AND last 2 more customers came in after me, plus 4) the other "unseen work" he was working on when I entered the place, That's awesome customer service! The shop is always neat & tidy, plenty of parking & the staff is always attentive & have never talked down to me. That keeps me coming back & feeling confident in my recommendation here on Yelp. I recently purchased a new cell phone. The carrier was unable to transfer all the pictures from my text msgs to the new phone. I then went to Best Buy Samsung Experience Shop since both my phones were Samsungs. After several attempts the technician also could not transfer all of the pictures from my text msgs. He told me to try MD Wireless. At MD Wireless I explained the problem and how others were unsuccessful in getting all of the pictures to the new phone. The technician worked for an hour to fix the problem. He was extremely knowledgeable and tried several approaches to fix the problem. Sadly he was not able to get all of the pictures to the new phone. He worked on my phone for an hour and did not charge me a cent. What outstanding customer service. This is a terrific business. I had my Samsung phone submerged in water at the swimming pool. The Overnight Bath revived the phone to charge, however both the microphones would not transmit! They were very fair in their recommendations, and I did purchase a new Samsung at a vendor which sold my Carrier. I came in after getting a botched job from JustIn Time repair (like seriously botched I was so screwed over) and the guy at MD fixed my phone in less than 35 minutes and fixed everything that Justin Linares screwed me over on. I am so much more than pleased with the professionalism I received and how quick my screen was fixed and replaced. They also offer a 1 year warranty on their work so if anything seems off they will fix it! If I ever need to repair my cell phone again, I definitely plan on coming to MD wireless. Well I dropped it again this week and, again went back into the store. I needed to get my Galaxy S3 glass and display replaced, as I'd dropped my phone the previous night. They checked to ensure they had the correct parts in stock (over the phone), and did the repair whilst I waited. It took a little longer than estimated (just over 1hr), and the base of the screen didn't perfectly line up with the new mounting, but I was more than happy with the significant discount offered to compensate for this. Keep in mind my screen was so badly damaged that the display underneath didn't work either -- the phone was unusable before repair. MD Wireless has a shopfront and their line of business is explicitly dealing with the repair of cellular phones and tablets. Call first - they will likely have the parts needed for the most popular phones enabling a same-day repair. There are some basic seats and a small waiting area, along with ample free parking out-front. It seems that most customers who wanted to wait just went and had a coffee at the nearby coffee shop, but I took my computer knowing that I wanted to wait, and they let me use their WiFi. Repair Samsung Galaxys and iPhones amongst others. Overall, very friendly, and reasonably prices. (Prices consistent with other stores that I had called and requested a quote from, but that didn't have parts in stock). I'd visit again if I needed a cellular repair. read more
