Do not buy from him. I bought a computer from him 5 months ago and it died. It is still under warranty. I asked him if he could help me and he said no. The computer is under warranty and he wanted nothing to do with it. I asked him if he could look at it and he said no. Then he said I should always have multiple PCs in my house. I am 70 years old and I live on a fixed income. When he sold me the computer he said it had a 2 year warranty, but he wanted nothing to with it. He belittled me the whole time since I was not a computer geek like him. I m sorry a computer should last more than 5 months and if not he should show some concern and try to help me. I brought my computer because one of the fans gets very loud while playing games as if the fan blades are scraping on something. I dropped it off and got a call later because it wouldn't turn on. Surely not his fault, it probably happened due to transporting the PC. After ordering and installing a new motherboard, the PC turned on and I took it home. Called to get a quote on transferring data from one machine to another one I had bought on CL. He asked where I got my new machine and how much I paid so I told him. He then told me the computer I had bought was stolen and that no one has bought more computers than he has on Craigslist and he could assure me it was stolen but, he would still work on it. I had explained to him what the seller had told me(he bought an extra machine for his new house and was having trouble selling it after finding he didn't need it). He insisted that he's been doing this for x years and it was very likely and stolen machine. I said it's very possible it wasn't but he kept insisting it was. Let me ask. Wtf was the point of grilling me like that? Why couldn't you just say "hey that's an awesome deal bring her by and let's get it set up"? Why was it so important to you to make me believe the computer was stolen? Makes me feel like you're projecting your own shadyness onto the rest of everybody. When I saw the complaints from the gamer and Paul's responses to them I knew I had found my guy :-) Thank you, complaining gamer! I have been keeping my custom built for day trading computer limping along myself. Over the years I have replaced the power supply, fan, 2 video cards. Then the third video card failed way too soon and a new one didn't fix it. So then I was like, ok, there could be a larger problem and I have reached the limits of my technical abilities. I could a) spend hundreds of $ and possibly 100 hours reading Tom's Hardware and swapping out parts and still not fixing it and possibly breaking even more things along the way due to ineptitude, b) buy a new, comparable machine for $1000, c) find a guy (NOT expensive big company) to fix it. Paul was EXTREMELY helpful and efficient. After talking with him on the phone, we decided it was worth bringing my computer in for him to have a look. Due to it's age, my computer was a big pain to deal with, but he put in a new motherboard, replaced the shorted out water cooling system with a plain fan (he said I didn't need the water cooling anyway and to be fair, the people who built my machine said I didn't need it either), and new video card, all for, I forget how much, like $471 parts included! He sent me a link for the drivers to run 3 monitors, and since my computer had been dead for, oh, 9 months or so, I had to do various updates and the Windows license again because of the new motherboard, but now it's all good and I'm typing this review on my fixed computer! Even though my machine is old, it's still a decent machine, and I'm so happy to have it back instead of using that crappy laptop! I really love how he gave me exactly the services I needed and had me do the rest myself so I could save a ton of money! Personally, I found Paul quite easy and delightful to work with, especially since he is so efficient and he just gets it done and that's what I like. For the first time in my life my computer crashed. I found Paul through Yelp. Since he lives just a few blocks away and he has very good Yelp reviews, I decided to give him a try. When I called, he answered almost immediately. I explained the problem and he asked a few simple yet basic questions. He told me to bring it over to his home-office and he will get me back up and running. Since I run a business that is closely linked to my computer, it was critical I get "back in the game" quickly. I brought my computer to his home office, which by the way is a professional studio in a separate building on the side of his home (no being uncomfortable invading someone's home). He quickly diagnosed the problem and determined I needed a new computer. Since mine was about 12--15 yrs. old, I suspect he was spot-on. About a day later he called me and said my new computer was ready to be installed. I am SO thankful he was able to save ALL of my files. I had the important ones backed up on flash drives and Dropbox, but there were other non-critical files that I wanted to be able to retain; he saved them all and transferred them to the new computer. He also set up an external hard drive so I am not as vulnerable to a disaster. He purchased it on Amazon and just added the cost to my bill. He came to my house and helped me set up the new computer (OK, he did all the work . . . ). He even helped me open up my computer cabinet to fit the new, larger PC. He spent a couple hours at my house and didn't leave until I felt comfortable with everything. He said I could call him anytime with questions. I have called him twice since and he happily and professionally answered my questions. He even lent me a disk with a program I need. All this for a very reasonable price. I would have spent more for a computer at Best Buy or Fry's and not got what I need; and as an added benefit - HE did all the work, including adding Microsoft Office and setting up my printer driver (among other tasks). I highly recommend Paul if you're having a computer issue (of course if you are, you probably can't read this . . . ). He is very knowledgeable and reasonably priced (a real bargain if you ask me). He makes himself available when you need him and won't sell you stuff you don't need. Overall, a good experience. read more

Our Toshiba Satellite S855 laptop blanked out suddenly, yellow light blinks and doesn't boot up. Apparently, I, and 10 other gamers who call him per week are complete idiots for building our own computers. Doesn't matter how many successful builds I've had in the past, I'm an idiot for attempting to do something for myself. Well, according to Paul I am. Also I got scammed by every company I purchased from. MSI and Asus is "cheapo" and the real kicker, "there is no such thing as 120hz monitors." I'm certain that if I'd taken my computer to Fry's or Best Buy, I'd have been charged a huge fee just to have the computer diagnosed and may have never seen it again for all I know.
