Last week my computer ceased working and CCI quickly diagnosed a hard drive problem but needed to check whether it could be repaired. They were helpful in two ways: 1. They advised me to replace my old hard drive with a new solid state hard drive and I agreed. Now my computer is like-new and crazy fast! It's better than when it was new 4-5 years ago. 2. They later confirmed that the old drive failed mechanically and, though I was offered next steps, I'm going to think about whether it will be worth it to pay for recovery. They gave me the old drive back for safe keeping in the meantime. Overall, I highly recommend Rizwan at CCI. The replacement drive was much cheaper than buying a new computer. I had a good experience here, my Chromebook had a really bad cracked screen and it needed to be repaired. It ended up being a fairly complicated repair because the entire housing needed to be replaced (not just the glass) Though it was difficult to source, CCI got it done. They were straightforward with me about what they could do and what could possibly go wrong and let me decide how to proceed with my repair. I had them do a motherboard processor update and am super happy with the results. I found them when I somehow shorted the old motherboard of my pc and they replaced it even though it was not a custom built system. I went back when it was time to upgrade and I was satisfied with both the price, and time it took. There were some small hiccups, but finding people who will do reliable upgrade work is very difficult, and to have success twice in a row is a pretty good recommendation in my book. UPDATE: i took my star back. Took me a week to get my machine back to where it was and on top of that my old drive isn't useable at all. I don't know what this guy did to it but this is ridiculous. --- What a mess this was. The guy there is knowledgeable and you can see from other reviews they've done plenty of good work, but this was a far cry from that and even that wouldn't be so bad if he didn't try to work me into still paying him full price. I came to them wanting to install a second hard drive in my desktop pc. Simple stuff, I even know how to do it. But when I opened up my machine something looked off so I figured I'd take it to a pro and avoid the hassle. Turns out it wasn't just me and the way my machine is set up it can't have a second hard drive. Fair enough, but I still wanted the new drive, so they said they'd move all my data over and sell me an enclosure that would make my old drive an external drive and i could pick my machine up the next day. Sounds like a plan! I'm all for it. The next day he told me that for some reason the new drive wouldn't boot, but he could install a fresh copy of Windows on it and I could move all my stuff from my old drive with the enclosure he was selling me. It certainly wasn't ideal, but whatever, I can manage. When I got to the shop he tells me there's a problem with the old drive now. So now I came to him with a perfectly functional computer with all my precious data on it, and he was giving me back a fresh copy of Windows and my old drive that may or may not work right for me..... Now, understand that I should be FURIOUS right now and I'm not known for my patience. But luckily I have backups on my backups, so I wasn't even sweating it. But imagine my surprise when this guy still expected to be paid the original price he quoted me, plus the enclosure for the new drive.... I offered him a very generous amount for installing a drive, the enclosure, and something for his time (merely $35 less than his original quote) and he still whined about it. He ended up with $25 less than his quote and still acted like he was being shorted, even though I'm the one the spent the rest of the weekend fixing what I paid him to mess up for me. I'm giving them a star because I think this was probably just a job gone wrong and they probably are still safe to go to, but he needs to know he can't try to work his customers into paying for stuff he didn't get done read more

I do want to clarify, regarding the screed left on my review, that the staff person in question clearly doesn't remember me or the interaction, as I'm a 5 foot tall femme female, and his whole reply is about what a male did and didn't do, ask, and the interactions they had. I imagine he'll edit it now. I'm not out to "ruin someone during COVID-19" or commit "character assassination". I think his long, angry response speculating on my emotional motivations, calling me "vindictive", laugh-reacting my review, etc. shows what kind of personality we're dealing with here. I'm not "angry at myself" for choosing to come to the store without calling ahead. I willingly chose to drive out there because it was a very nice night and I had nothing to do, and they absolutely had what I was looking for: a store to browse. I was indeed looking for a particular item and hoped to be able to look for it, or look at the rest of stock if it wasn't there. I enjoy that type of store layout and saw pictures online ahead of time (a bunch of stuff jumbled up on the shelves, sort of a thrift store vibe-- part of the reason I figured I'd come see for myself vs. ask a third party to crawl through), and it does indeed seem like they have a diversity of items that could be interesting. This wasn't a "disastrous quest" of a night-- I got some very good Mexican food right nearby, in the end. But, quite frustrating and confusing interpersonally. Now, I admit that such a scenario almost begs belief (why wouldn't an owner want people to look at his stock?), and it is more likely that someone would be annoyingly overhelpful and a patron with poor boundaries be irritated. The store owner and I appear to be from the same cultural background (and both small business owners, btw) and I have noticed that sometimes people from our background handle their small shops in a way such that they want to be very involved with each item the customer looks at, and proudly guide them item by item, vs a more hands-off approach where customers have the increased liberty that is customary here. (And again, before this is called racist or something like that, I am the same race and in a comparable business position myself. This may have absolutely nothing to do with it.) That is completely fine but not everyone will enjoy that and you need to respect someone's personal space when they tell you no. A wise business owner would respond tactfully to a poor review and hope that the public concludes it was a disgruntled, mistaken, or unreasonable customer, or someone having a bad night. Every business will be subject to some unreasonable customers at some point. Or, one could even take this as a lesson in one perspective that a customer might have on your style. On the other hand, an unwise business owner could drag out every retort in the book and put his unpleasant affect on display for the world to see. read more

These folks do great work. My son is starting school at St Mary's tomorrow. He was doing some prep work and His computer died. It would not boot up! Even though we have a warranty at Best Buy they could not see him until late on Friday and then based upon their "phone diagnosis" they would not commit to anything less than 3 Weeks for the repair. KNOWLEDGEABLE, HONEST and CARING COMPUTER REPAIR! This guy Riz is amazing. He took the time to talk to me over the phone about my ailing laptop (old mechanical drive was slow and screen took a green cast all of a sudden), knew exactly what questions to ask, gave me the prognosis and his recommendation (have him install a new solid state drive, more RAM and hopefully solder the video card cable) with the cost estimate. The very fair quote he gave me enabled me to balance whether to have my old laptop repaired (the green screen might have required a new mother board since the video card is integrated) or put that money toward a new laptop. Just bought the new laptop (from Costco on their holiday sale) which I absolutely love ... 512GB solid state drive, 16GB RAM, 8th gen i7 CPU, 4K screen and less than 3 lbs with 13-inch screen! Riz's expertise helped me determine the new features I wanted. His advice is INVALUABLE. Jonathon is a wizard! I was near wit's end struggling to get my iPhone and iTunes working on my new Dell laptop running Windows 7. He did what I was unable to do - even with 16 hours of online help from Microsoft's and Apple's websites, an hour plus on the phone with an Apple iPhone support technician, and two hours of service from a paid computer technician. To condense the saga, I attempted to move iTunes from my old 32-bit OS pc to my new 64-bit OS pc. In doing so, 32-bit code was embedded deeply in the new operating system causing attempts to load iTunes 64-bit version to fail. I attempted all of the fixes that I could find on Microsoft's and Apple's websites (several times in complete detail) to no avail. It seemed that reverting back to the original out-of-the-box system state was the only fix that I knew would work, but that was not a good option for me. I took the pc to Jonathon at CCI along with screen shots of error messages I was receiving. He fixed my laptop in less than 24 hours. I had my computer back. iTunes was installed and my iPhone was ready to be synched. This is the best money I will spend this Christmas. read more

i came in on Monday when they opened with a computer that had a BSOD (blue screen of death) it said ATIHDWT6.sys after googling that i found a video that showed how to fix it. Worst Experience ever! Do not come here. The "president" of the company helped me. He was so extremely rude and unprofessional. Do not come here!!! The store is a disaster, parts everywhere, other people's laptops are all over the counter with sticky notes on them, not safeguarded in anyway. I brought my 13 year old's Dell laptop, it's only 2 years old but somehow the hinge came off and there was a disconnected/severed wire. The first thing the guy said was that he wasn't sure what the wire goes to but might be the camera. I questioned that and he rudely said I should have brought the computer in sooner. I'm 9 months pregnant, not my top priority. He fumbled around for a while trying to get a charger to work and said he could maybe fix it partially. I said I want it back to same condition it started as and he just seemed uninterested in helping. I came in at 4:30 on a Saturday and was only one in the shop, at 4:45 he told me the store closes soon and he cannot give me an estimate. I asked when he could and he said he would try sometime next week. I said please try to get estimate ASAP, he reminded me they close in 10 minutes. I called Wednesday of the next week to check in and he said he could not provide an estimate at all. I have since gone to another repair place and had a great experience. I have no idea how this place gets good reviews. Stay clear of this guy. read more
