Worth every penny, and I'd hire this team again in a heartbeat. I even recommended them to neighbors in our complex going through what I was. My problem? Xfinity kept telling me the "new" box was going to easily pump wifi through my whole house. It never worked and we had multiple dead spots in our house, where wifi never reached. We ended up trying several things, included a second network setup using Google Nest routers. That also didn't work great and we suffered for years. So finally got fed up, and I called BATH and told Ari what the issue was. He gave me a budget, which I bristled at, at first. Then he walked me through a likely fix, which involved a couple routers networked so that I had independent wifi running on both floors of the house but on the same network. The tech came by and was super nice, and walked me through what they were going to do. I was cautiously optimistic. When they were done? I almost cried at how well everything ran through my house. They even set me up so I had ethernet directly to my gaming PC, and direct into my TV and Xbox. I have not had a single issue since (beside Comcast caused outages), and have blazing fast wifi throughout the house (I pay for the gigaspeed Xfinity). I'm finally utilizing the speed as sold to me by Xfinity. Thanks so much BATH. I really appreciate it. I was super impressed with the emails, the invoices, techs being on time, and just the overall professionalism. It was worth the extra few bucks. read more

Upon establishing a relationship with the company and the tech all issues related to my drop connection have been resolved. The tech was able to resolve my persistent issues with my modem, resulting in a satisfactory signal for the last half year. The modem has been replaced, and all aspects of my network are now functional. This is the first time I've had a satisfactory signal in half a year. Everyone in my household is delighted. The internet network has finally been fixed. The proprietor and the technicians were quick to resolve any issues. I have been assured by their work and quality. I can confidently state that this company is a reputable one that will not solicit you for a fee. I will highly recommend this company for future issues and work. We didn't hire Bay Area Tech Hero - so we cannot comment on service quality. The reason we didn't hire this team was primarily due to pricing. The quote we received for 3x cable runs was 400% more than the team we hired, and that team said their pricing was "average pricing." We also were quoted the highest end hardware, which would have been excessive for our needs. If you can afford to shop around and the timing of your project allows, we highly suggest shopping around! read more

Bay Area Tech Hero upgraded my switch and installed a new Unifi doorbell that replaced a malfunctioning Comelit device. Jim B was very thorough in reviewing my requirements and providing a clear and comprehensive quote. On the day of installation, the techs arrived right on time and were finished with the new installation and network checks within the expected timeframe, all with minimal disruption to our internet. Post-installation follow-up to explain the new system was prompt, thorough, and patient with my questions. I am already discussing a follow-on project with them. We just used Bay Area Tech Hero on our home and studio to set up a wireless mesh. We have an old home with plaster and crazy layout and have never been able to get good internet in every room. Joe and Ari were able to set us up with strong coverage throughout the home. They also gave great advice on a bunch of technology related questions. Love this company and am grateful for them making our lives a whole lot easier! read more

I was in need of a network upgrade in my house. I had pre wired Ethernet ports in each room but they needed to be terminated and connected to a modem. I also wanted to improve my wifi signal and speed throughout my home. Ari was awesome! We had a zoom call to discuss a game plan. We decided to install 3x Eeros Pro 7s to improve the WiFi coverage and speed as well as install a switch so that each room's Ethernet ports would be active. Ruben came out to do the work, it was estimated that it would take him 4 hours to do. He completed the project in 2 hours! Saving me time and money! He was very polite and professional. Overall I had a great experience with Bay Area Tech Hero, I would recommend them to others and will return, if needed, in the future. read more

Fantastic communication and great attention to detail in developing a plan for our specific needs. Ari took the time to walk through our house layout and offered helpful options to account for our requirements. Scheduling was quick and easy once we had settled on a plan, and communication was timely throughout. Pricing was competitive and transparent, and Ari was glad to help us price out options and alternatives as well, and we were fully comfortable with proceeding once we understood the itemized quote breakdown. Our installer Josue was very thoughtful once onsite once we had a chance to walk through the physical space, working quickly and efficiently to hook up every room. Every connection was validated, and cleanup was impeccable. Would highly recommend their services as a locally owned business that cares about doing the job right! read more

It's hard to find some quality personalities to come into your home and deal with your smart home system. I was taking a stab at what I would find on yelp and was very refreshed to hear about Bay Area Tech Hero owner Ari and how he got started so I thought that it would be worth reaching out to him, we started with a call and roughly what I had and was wanting. Then a tech guy came out to just kind of get the idea of what I have and how and what we use- we are going to move on from here with some recommended updates. I really appreciate the step-by-step walking through, updating and refreshing us and our rack getting us potentially back into, a better functioning house of tech. I really recommend reaching out to Ari to see if would fit for you as well. read more

Wish I would have done this years ago! Bill was great! He took the time to understand what we had and what we were having problems with, and come up with a solution that worked better than we could have guessed. He updated and streamlined the the various systems. We couldn't connect to our sound systems, he got that working and gave me a quick lesson. He simplified our Universal remote, so only one touch for my aging parent. He got the radio connected to the Dennon for my parent and Spotify for me. He did a great job getting things working for us. Ari and Rob were amazing! We have an old S.F. house with plaster walls and a weird layout so WiFi dead zones were a given despite attempts to make it better. Ari on the consult try immediately knew what to try and walked me through options - mesh vs Ethernet. Setting up install day was a breeze and Rob was thorough and efficient! We are already so very pleased with our new WiFi! read more

I contacted Bay Area Tech Hero about an ethernet installation project. For some reason the previous owner of my home installed cables but didn't bother to connect them to keystones or jacks. Ari and I spoke on Zoom where he estimated the number of hours needed to complete the project after I showed him a few walls with the plates removed. Francisco came to my home a few days later and quickly connected the cables to keystones on one side and jacks on the other. He also tested the cables to ensure everything was properly configured. Ari also provided guidance on which WiFi router and access points I should purchase to fully take advantage of my working ethernet cables (Ubiquiti!). I look forward to working with this team on future projects. read more

We have used Tech Hero for various things in the last several years. Helping us install a mesh wifi system, helping us buy and install a now no longer new Mac back in 2019. This time, I asked for help solving a problem I was having with my 2019 Mac. Roy tried various things and pretty quickly diagnosed it as a problem with a Chrome browser extension. He fixed it in less than an hour, and passed along several tips for avoiding that issue in the future, and for getting a few more years out of my Mac.
