If you're doing serious home networking (especially during a remodel) and you care about performance, Wiztec is the real deal. I contacted two other low-voltage/networking companies before Wiztec and it was a mess: flaky scheduling, no-shows, refusal to visit the site, or acting like the request was "too hard" -- specifically once I mentioned CAT8 cable runs. One company essentially refused the job outright. (yeah yeah I know the speil about CAT8 overkill for a residential job but that's outside the scope of this conversation.) Wiztec was the opposite: they were professional, showed up, and treated the project like adults. Important context: Because this was a remodel, my GC ran the CAT8 cables in-wall, so Wiztec didn't do the physical cable pulling. But Wiztec handled the part that actually determines whether your network performs correctly: CAT8 terminations (jacks / keystones) Hardware procurement (they got the right gear -- no "random Amazon stuff") Camera install Full configuration + validation to ensure the network worked end-to-end at expected speeds And the best part: they didn't just install and disappear. Excellent in every respect. All appointments- from site survey to installation- were well communicated and on schedule. Price was competitive and fair. Work was done with care and they laid down protective paper as they worked and vacuumed up when finished, leaving everything pristine. We needed access control for our 27 unit building with video, remote access but no hardwiring into the units. Also that didn't require ongoing monthly payments. Berik and the Wiztec team came up with a few options and we narrowed it down to UniFi Access 3 with enough storage to add cameras in the future. The team installed hardware in one day and then we were up and running. I appreciated they didn't mark up the hardware. Berik is very knowledgable and experienced. I had them come out to install an in wall network management box, install 8 Ubiquity Cameras, along with setting up a new Klipsch Reference Premier 5.2.2 home theater speaker & mounted a massive 83" LG C4 OLED TV and in-wall power and cable management device. I have the ability to do work like this, but I know it wouldn't be precise, and Wiztec came through 100%. Everything measured perfect in the living room. The team was professional, through, and really got into the fine details of things. The best part, they cleaned up everything, no dust no where. Wiztec installed three hardwired cameras to our house. We had Google Nest cameras but were not happy with all the connection issues. Wiztec was a super easy company to work with. Molly communicated all the steps of the project and was very responsive. Vitaly walked the property with us and clearly explained all the work to be done. We were having problems with our Eero mesh network. Berik came to our house to evaluate the ability to add three CAT6 wires. I wanted to hardwire the satellite Eeros to our main Gateway Eero. He analyzed our space and quickly provided a reasonable estimate for that service. The next day one of his technicians showed up on-time (9:30am) to do the work. Within a few hours he realized that he needed help. He continued working until another technician showed up. During that time he inadvertently made a small hole in our hardwood floor. He later fixed this hole so that it was hard to identify it. They did all the work requested and stayed until it was done (8:30pm that night). Now our network works flawlessly at high speed! We paid the reasonable, originally quoted price by Zelle. Berik must have heard about the hole in the floor and came back to assess the quality of the repair. He has a background in contracting and was not fully satisfied with the technician's repair. He came back a few days later to improve the repair and request this review. All in all, the work was done well and at a decent price. We are very happy. read more

I was having major issues with my home network. Between Eero, Xfinity, home wiring and my security equipment, it was a very difficult to pinpoint the problems. I spoke with and had visits from Xfinity and Eero but it was still a mystery. Having Wiztec come by for a visit, I was still skeptical because of all the finger pointing with the companies and figuring out the possible equipment failures. Berik came out exactly on time, diagnosed the issue with our CAT6 cabling, and was able to repair it and test the lines, all within 2 1/2 hours. He was professional, personable, and great to work with. He even threw in a free switch when we found that the one cabling job didn't tie back to the network closet. I engaged Wiztec for help with a rather unusual and challenging job to establish network connectivity thru an old Cat 6 connection in my living unit. I found them very technically knowledgeable, diligent in seeing the job through to success, and very fair in pricing for their time. I moved into a building that provides free internet service, but found that the needed Cat connections in my unit had been sealed over by a previous occupant and were then found to be very old. This required an upgrade of these connections, as well as a painstaking process of going back and forth to determine the route to the building's server and to ensure a strong connection. Wiztec saw this through to success, and then even helped me set up my router to get me going online via Wi-Fi, which was an unexpectedly complicated process that would have taken me over an hour.
