Roman is very nice, but he unfortunately uses used parts and calls them new. I came in for a NEW iPhone 15 pro battery. He told me that he would install a new battery. I told him several times that it was important for the installation to be good and for the battery to be reliable because my iphone manages my insulin delivery and glucose monitoring for my diabetes. After the install, everything worked fine except for one thing: My phone kepts saying to press a button to complete my parts replacement for calibration and quality evaluation. Roman told me several times to ignore this message, but it kept popping up on my phone. I went home and pressed the button. After a 30 second diagnostic, my phone told me that Roman had installed a USED Apple battery that was manufactured in 2022 and first installed/used in 2023. It's September 2026. A lot of problems with this. First, who knows WTF was wrong with the original 2023 installation. Second, he charged me for a new battery (even more than Apple's price.) Third, I told him about how I relied on this for my diabetes. If he didn't have a new one, he should have told me and sent me to Apple. Fourth, was his telling me to ignore the Apple message to complete the replacement installation. That says to me that he knew. Otherwise, why not press the button? I called Roman about this, and he blamed it on his supplier, but he did fully refund me. I will now go to Apple and get a genuine new battery. Again, a nice person, and he gave me the refund right away, but I would never trust him again. The reliability of our phones are so important today, let alone for medical conditions. Whether the used battery installation was intentional or the supplier's fault, Roman is responsible for himself and the quality of his suppliers. read more
