    Chai Espresso Martini
    Emily M.

I'm so thankful my boyfriend and I stumbled upon Quán Hapa after the FCC game. We were cold and wanted some hot food to warm us up and we really got what we came for! We meant to split the Thai Chili Buffalo Korean Fried Wings. My boyfriend had a majority of them as they were too hot for me, but the one wing I did have was delicious. I ended up getting the Bo Luc Lac (garlic noodles with Vietnamese shaking beef) and it was incredible! I'll be dreaming about that dish. My boyfriend got a build-your-own ramen and it was really good when I tried a spoonful. They also have a variety of beers and cocktails. I got curious about their extensive espresso martini menu and was told to try the Chai Espresso Martini. It was amazing! I'm glad I ordered it and want to try a different type of espresso martini when I'm back next. The inside is really cool. There's lots of cool lights and it was set-up for Christmas when I stopped by in November. I loved the festiveness!

Maybe my new favorite food in OTR!! The food was AH-MAZING!!! Everything we had was spectacular! I loved the flavor, balance, and plating. I was full and didn't even finish too so good portions for price! I loved the chicken skewers as an appetizer. Our service was okay - 4/5. The outdoor section was super warm even though it was cold so I was really happy to be able to sit in the sun but still be comfortable. Would love to come back at night to see the difference in the vibe.

I came in on a snowy day and had my choice of seats with 2 friends. It is a small seating area inside to be prepared to wait at a more popular dining time. I had the garlic noodles. As the name implies they were VERY garlic heavy and forward. Maybe too much for me. I wanted a little more creamyness to them. The Fried chicken on top of my noodles was perfect. Crisp and full of flavor. I tasted my friends ramen and it was very good. The Pizza like appetizer was also a great flavor experience. If you don't like a lil slime on your egg ask for the egg cooked as you prefer. I've of liked over medium. Learning experience for us;)

I was very disappointed in the food the shrimp and Vietnamese beef were so dry I felt like it could crumble in my mouth. The noodles were very bland. Our waitress was great and very friendly and was the only good part of eating here.

A trendy spot in OTR without a ton of seating. Snagged a reservation for 4 on short notice on a Saturday night. We were sat quickly and the service was good. I realllllly wanted to love the food here, but it just didn't do anything for me. We started with some loaded waffle fries, kimchi, and edamame. These were all just fine, nothing particularly amazing but nothing bad either. Amongst the four of us, we had the Garlic Noodles with Shrimp, the Sichuan Spicy noodles, and a bowl of ramen. The garlic noodles themselves were definitely the best dish. Unfortunately, the shrimp were all cold despite it being a hot dish. The Sichuan spicy noodles had a ton of ma sensation without really any other flavor. I probably won't be back unless something really peaks my interest.

I have mixed feelings on my experience. I dined here recently with my book club. We came on a very cold night and the restaurant was freezing cold inside. We all had to wear our coats and we were still cold. They have their outside area tented off, but as a result it made the whole restaurant very cold. I definitely will not return in the winter time. Our waiter was fine, he brought us what we needed. I had the Hapa ramen. The night of I thought it was okay but nothing exceptional. I brought home the leftovers and had it for lunch the next day and the flavors had melded in a way that it was tastier on day two than when it was freshly made.

I've been here a few times since moving closer to OTR. The wait time isn't bad and they take reservations if you want to plan something. The inside is great and they have covered patio seating when it's warmer outside. I love the food here and highly recommend the chicken with garlic noodles. For an appetizer you could try the Korean BBQ Wings or the pancake.

This small restaurant is the bomb. Make a reservation on the weekend since seating is limited. Our server Brandon was so nice and explained the menu for us since we were first time visitors Our food was so delicious. Japanese pancakes who knew were so good. I also got the shrimp curry hand roll and my friend got the spicy salmon hand roll. All of it amazing. The drinks are fantastic too We will be back to try something else

Was excited to try this place, but disappointed in the food especially. We started with the Soju flight, and it was interesting, but too sweet for us. We also tried the wings with the Coconut Lemongrass sauce. The sauce was good, but the wings were just okay. He tried the salmon garlic noodles and I went for the wagyu. He liked his noodles and said his salmon was okay, but my steak was cooked medium well done well when I ordered it medium rare, so I did not enjoy it. I also tried the Lime Basil Me cocktail and he got an Espresso Martini and we thought those were just okay. The service was fast and friendly, though! Our server was very nice and answered all my questions well. Ambience didn't feel special and the covered patio isn't watertight because we got wet even though we were closest to the inside. It also got loud even though there weren't many people there. Might have given 3 stars if it wasn't for how high the bill was. The prices here do not match the quality or experience you'd find other places.

Every time we go to Cincinnati we visit Quan Hapa. This place is our favorite for years. Okonomiyaki was good as it used to be, first time order Calamari and we did not disappointed! My husband loves their KFC too. Service was nice and they are very dog friendly!

I love this spot! The service is always so incredibly nice and well paced. The introduction is always clean and the vibe is perfect for a night out at dinner or a lunch spot to try out. I love that there is anime playing on the tvs because it fits the theme at all time. When it comes to the delicious food that is served, i have yet to have something that i dislike. The KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) was delicious and I will keep coming back for the pancake that I received. This place is somewhere you need to check out and will keep coming back for more! I was a bit of a skeptic, as I'm the sort of person who roams around surburban strip malls looking for niche restaurants, and I try to take recommendations from people who know the cuisine. This looked more like Asian food for white people, and I felt that both before and after they arrived. The name sounds kind of Vietnamese, but the menu is more Japanese, and the people were 100% Cincinnati. Having said all that, I found a reason to try it, ordering a freshly cooked tofu dish with curry and coleslaw and a non-alcoholic beverage. I was quite pleased with the taste of my tofu, and the warm curry and cooler coleslaw made for a nice contrast of flavors and textures. The persimmon soda I ordered wasn't big, but it had just the right amount of sweetness for its intrinsically tart taste. They had clear marking for vegetarian and vegan options (and a lot of them were the former). It was a tad on the pricey side, but I wanted a place walkable to the music hall and what I got here delivered precisely the flavor and substance that I wanted of it, so I'm not sure what I can fault them on.

Maybe the waitress was new, but she took forever to come and help us, our glasses stayed empty, and it took an extra 15 minutes just to get the check. Appetizer None Main Course - Crab cake and toast was a huge hit with my wife. Though she wasn't sure how to eat it and the egg wasn't runny as she wanted, she enjoyed it. - 9/10 - Steak and fries with chimichurri was quite delicious. The bourbon bbq sauce for the fries I highly recommend. Steak was a bit over cooked but tasty. - 8/10 Dessert - Brulé cheese cake was light and fantastic. The berries consisted of 4 blueberries. Would have been nice with a few strawberries or raspberries- 8/10

Our server, McKenna, took great care of us the whole evening. She was friendly, engaging, accommodating, and just did an overall great job. Pro tip, go during happy hour for great prices on appetizers and drinks. The appetizer pricing was so good we were able to order more than planned. We got the duck fat fries, brussels sprouts, and buffalo chicken. The duck fat fries came with a delicious garlic aïoli. The brussels sprouts were just perfect. And the buffalo chicken with some of the best I've had in a long time. I had never had cock-a-leekie before, so I tried that too. It was a nice, warm, comfort food. For our entrées, several of us got fish and shrimp. It was delicious and the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce sauces were perfect. The highlighter of the evening for me was my mocktail. I noticed the drink menu had a cucumber elderberry drink, but I do not drink alcohol, so I ask if they would be willing to make something like it as a mocktail. It was genuinely one of the best mock tails I've ever had. It was so good. I asked if the bartender would mind sharing what she did so I could make some version of it at home. She happily obliged and wrote it down for me. Overall, a wonderful experience that will definitely have me recommending Nicholsons to friends and family!

To start this place is a "sit down" but you have to order at the bar and they bring it to you. We were a tad thrown off with that since they literally had waiters and people roaming around, didn't make sense to me. But that was just the start! We decided to order nachos and a pretzel to start the meal. The pretzel was disgusting, hard and lacking flavor and the $14 nachos was a side plate with a small portion of nachos on it. I asked the server what was with the size of the nachos and he said he though they were normal. They aren't, you go to a normal bar and for $14 comes out a platter with nachos that are loaded. Then our mains came out, my wife's salad was gross, lacking flavor and with dry chicken and my burger was decent. For $90 this meal should have been WAYYY better. We left feeling very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.
